By accepting the premise of co-creation, we understand – life doesn’t “just happen.” We participate in it. Having read many treatises on manifestation, taught many students and practiced for some time, I’m fond of simple and practical steps for rapidly changing our experience of reality.
- Attitude alters everything. Before starting a practice or beginning on a desire, it’s important to check-in with attitude. Do we believe it’s possible or even probable? Do we believe in our ability to create change – and more importantly do we believe in the possibility of a happy life as a reflection of fulfilled dreams?
- Does our desire arise from need or want? Need pushes away desires – it causes erratic, anxious emotions that act as an opposing force to the realization of dreams, taking them away into the far distance. Need arises from a lack within – not a lack without. If we hear ourselves say the word “need”, then revision is necessary. (Most people believe they need love but fail to love themselves.)
- Look at our words. Can we keep silent, neither sharing your successes or failure? Are we willing to give up criticism of others and speak well of them. It’s an odd twist in manifestation but we often receive a return of energy from the words spoken about others.
- Does the object of co-creation take us more deeply into spiritual devotion or the matrix of the ego? Please keep in mind – the ego expresses needs and the soul whispers desires. A real difference exists between the two. Do we long for success to show to others or so that we can help others more?
- Are we willing to observe our self-sabotage and rise above it? Everyone expresses patterns with an opposite resonance or vibration to the desire. It’s important to observe the internal dialog and have a willingness to observe and work through the pattern. Part of manifestation involves identifying our personal participation and then working through it.
- What are our holograms – the highly detailed visual images that we hold of others and of our own life? How do we see or perceive the flow of your life? What do we expect in the future? Can we change your expectations and make goodness flow in now?
- Self-validation comes in time. It’s important to review our actions to discover if we are acting to please others or to achieve greater alignment with the True Self. It’s pretty clear because we either gain or lose energy with our actions. It’s best to start with one or two hours of self-observation.
- Find a teacher. Very few people can look clearly at themselves, develop psychic gifts or learn the rules of the universe without devoting a tremendous amount of study. A good teacher sees you clearly. He or she can cut through problems and teach the focus of energy for quick progress on the soul’s path, as well as discernment for the next step. (Investing in the self is always wise.)
- Finally, the best reason for practicing co-creation is linking with the soul – the joy of living in tandem with the One/All – the ecstatic feeling of being in the flow. When we step on this path, life starts to truly change. Progress comes quickly and life becomes more beautiful and meaningful with the passage of time.
