Good Things II

I’m listing some of my favorite things, ranging from books to medicinal herbs and crystals. You’ll find links and suggestions. I am NOT an affiliate with any of these people or services. I simply like them — and thought you might, too.

Medicinal Foods

Amazing chocolate formulas. The green drink is wonderful, and they offer great recipes. Everything is made in Hawaii. It may take a few days for delivery. Click here.

Energetix

Energetix formulas are quite good, and they can be found on Amazon.

Tinctures for Health

Made by a young herbalist from mushrooms gathered near the Pisgah National Forest, I’ve found these products invigorating and supportive of better health. (Products are “local” if you’re on the east coast.)

chaga

Lion’s Mane mushroom (Hericium erninaceus) has been used for millennia by Buddhist Monks to improve brain function.  Two of its unique classes of constituents hericenones and erinacines have been found to increase Nerve Growth Factor (stimulate nerve regeneration.)

Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is called the King of Mushcrooms because of its anticarcinogenic, immunomodulatory, antitumor, adaptogenic, anti-mutagenic, geno-protective, antiviral, and antioxidant properties.  (David Wolfe is perhaps chaga’s most famous advocate and author of the only book dedicated to the fungus.)

Sage Goddess also offers good crystals and stones. (The other selections don’t interest me.) Click here.

Books and Movies

I haven’t watched any fabulous movies or series. I love streaming through Amazon and Hulu (no commercials or news.) I “change” channels often on Amazon.

Here are a few of my recent book selections.

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. It’s exquisite, and the book was a Pulitzer Prize finalist. Read it!

Working with Angels, Fairies, and Nature Spirits by William Bloom. It’s about communicating with the natural world for healing, growth, and co-operation.

The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman. It’s not as good as Practical Magic, but I couldn’t resist the sequel.

Marriage of Opposites by Alice Hoffman. It’s a fabulous read about Pissaro’s mother. Descriptions are exquisite and masterful.

News of the World by Paulette Jiles. Novel is based on real life accounts of people who were captured by Native Americans.

The Time Traveler’s Guide to Medieval England by Ian Mortimer.

Making the Gods Work for You by Caroline Casey.

Healing Mantras by Thomas Ashley-Farrand.

The Valkyries by Paulo Coelho. It’s a strange (but good) book about angels.

There’s also a reading list on this site under resources, which lists many books that I often study and read.

Moving Through the Big Shift

Mandala by Kasha Glazebrook

Why does everything feel strange?

Everything feels strange because we are moving through a dispensation of light, which will last another few years. We’re between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius when light rains down on the planet—and the Precession of Ages, a 26,000 year cycle.

Uranus is square Pluto, and Earth is moving on her axis. It’s a time of group awakening. In past ages, individuals such as Christ or Buddha carried the light of awakening for the entire planet. This is a group effort, and many people are awakening on the planet. (It’s not enough to awaken. We have to do something with that energy!)

The group initiative means we feel everyone else. On certain days, we are together in the light. When we’re not aligned with the inner self, we can feel everyone else’s shift. We also feel mass consciousness at the grocery store, movies, or mall.

One day, I feel fine. The next day, I feel terrible, tired, or emotional. What’s causing this?

There’s definitely an unsettled feeling. Oddly, we may feel it more when we’re very connected. Our inner awareness and intuition bring heightened awareness of change.

Earth is raising her frequency and pivoting between several physical points on her axis. (No, it’s not a polar shift.) The old points of alignment feel good to our bodies. The new points of alignment bring in an entirely different energy. The shift of the earth causes changes in the cycle of life. The days are longer, and the shadows look different. Everything is growing at an accelerated rate. There are significant changes with animals and birds.

The earth exudes a rhythm, which we feel physically and emotionally. The rhythm is interrupted as the earth rocks on her axis. Hypothetically, the motion occurs to shake up old patterns and help in raising our vibration. (Be patient. Everyone is adjusting.)

The new energy can feel exhilarating or exhausting. It depends on what we’re doing, the placement of our consciousness, and our overall frequency. The energy also brings awareness of health issues, emotional/mental patterns for clearing.

On the positive side, it’s much easier to manifest when “material” reality is unstable. Energy flows more easily and adapts to new forms. The important part is taking time to sit, center, and focus on visualization. (It also helps to walk and garden.)

Are there other reasons for feeling weird?

Yes. Uranus is square Pluto until 2019. Uranus in Aries (new beginnings, anger, passion + planet of sudden and spiritual change) is square Pluto (resources, subconscious, unknown darkness, transformation) in Capricorn. It’s a difficult square, and it can sometimes bring up more than we think is bearable. (We’ll get through it.)

Uranus exudes awakening, and Pluto reveals hidden truths, shadows, and subconscious emotions/thoughts. We’re dealing with our darkness and light—and seeing more about the political, economic world. In the big picture, it helps in making decisions to create a better world.

What can I do about it?

Hang on for the ride. Accept the ups and downs. Nurture yourself on tired days and achieve on good days. Understand the rhythms of the energy. Nothing lasts forever; it changes from day to day.

Check in with your inner self. Ask if today is a good day for errands, emails, new clients, or deep talks. Make the physical body stronger and spend time observing the flow of nature. Feel your flow. Trust that we’re moving into a time of greater love. (Don’t worry about the people who don’t feel the fluctuations or step into awakening. Stay centered and trust your inner self.)

The Tiger and the Monk (Netflix) depicts an amazing relationship between wild animals, meditation, and the heart.

The Hundred Foot Journey (Amazon) is about food, different cultures, and love. It’s also for people who love to cook.

Inside Out is an excellent movie, written for children and adults. Insightful thoughts are presented about the importance of emotions – both good and bad.

My Summer Reading List

oldbooks

I love to read, but I like happy endings. I also like books that lead me into greater spiritual truth and speak to my heart. On this note, I’m listing the best books of my summer reading. (Yes, I admit it. I loved my job as a librarian. It was quiet and lovely–and I could read as much as I liked. It’s still my favorite form of living vicariously.)

I intend to read more, but here are a few books from our expert summit speakers.

Easy, Breezy Miracle by Emmanuel Dagher

easybreezy

It’s a simple, easy to read book, which reminds us of the importance of focusing on what we want to create in life.  Emmanuel uses easy, effective exercises to realign with love and light. It’s the perfect purse/briefcase book for lifting the spirits.

AngelSpeake: How to Speak to Your Angels by Barbara Mark and Trudy Griswold

angelspeake

This is one of my favorite books. I’ve given it to many of my friends, and it helped me in pulling out of one of the darkest places in my life. Yes, you have to practice talking to your angels, but it works. It offers great detailed information on making the connection.

Cosmic Weather Report by Mark Borax and Ellias Lonsdale

cosmicweather

Inspired by a series of lectures by Ellias Lonsdale, Mark Borax puts the material in a marvelous form. It suggests that we are moving through our planetary darkness (karma) to find and connect with the light. It makes many of the happenings prior and post 2012 more comprehensible.

30 Days to Everyday Miracles by Jennifer Hoffman

30days

Jennifer wrote and distributed this book via email in 2009. I loved the emails–and the happy, spiritual flavor of the book. It’s always wonderful to think about miracles, and the book helps you to create them in on a daily basis.

Unplugging the Patriarchy by Lucia Rene

unplugging This amazing story chronicles the changes an individual can make on the etheric or unseen level to alter the world. In this story, Lucia works to change the male hierarchy on the planet. It’s a fascinating read but does have some advanced concepts.

Inner Speak Cards by Jean Adrienne

innerspeakcards

No, it’s not a book, but they are fun and helpful. They give insights with karmic problems, mini-clearing techniques, and a blessing.

Other Books:

The Last Shaman by William Whitecloud

It’s a spiritual adventure, and it’s profound. (I was torn between rushing through it and taking a break to think about the lessons.)

The Afterlife of Billy Fingers by Annie Kagan

It’s a true story about the author’s brother. Kagan shares how he communicated spiritual concepts with her after his death. It gives a beautiful insights about the “after world.” It’s slightly sad in a few places, but uplifting and fascinating overall.

The Life Everlasting by Marie Corelli

It’s one of my favorite romance novels, and it combines spirituality, courage, and love. You’ll have to buy this one from a used book seller like Alibris.com, but it’s worth it. I’ve read it at least five times.

Healing Mantras by Thomas Ashley-Farrand

The book introduces many mantras, explains their meaning, and gives real life examples. It’s good, sensitive writing.

Timeline by Michael Crichton

It’s an old one, but I’m fascinated by time travel–particularly Medieval Times. It’s not particularly spiritual, but I like the adventure.

I always read: Neville, Florence Scovel Shinn and Catherine Ponder. The principles are deep. The books are easy to read and involve shifting your consciousness.

Julia Griffin, Intutiive Healer and Coach

Julia Griffin, intuitive healer and owner of One True Self, began her work fifteen years ago under the tutelage of real wolves. The wolves taught her that true energetic motion is based on the soul and patterns of nature. Following their direction, Julia sees and reads energy, including animals, plants and people. She works with people in session to find their resonance with the soul, clearing patterns and alignment with their inner path.
