April Astrology, Reflecting on Life

The events of the year flowed quickly as a result of acceleration, the increase of light and energy; however, the rapid flow of consciousness – and time – will slow considerably during the month of April when many planets move into retrograde. The “backward” motion of the planets offers a time of reflection, correction, and readjustment in accordance with the dictates of the inner self. Think of it as a time to go underground and reflect on life before coming to the surface with a sense of renewal and purpose.

Fortunately, there are positive aspects in April such as Venus in Pisces, joining Neptune and Chiron, which offers the opportunity to heal wounds and move into mystical love. Only the Sun – instead of four planets — is close to (or conjunct) Uranus in Aries, softening the rapid, sudden change in our inner and outer world. Additionally, April’s full moon will bestow positive energy.

Retrogrades

Five retrogrades allow time to linger and look at the landscape of life. Everything will seriously slow its pace. The planets will gift us with time to contemplate the steps that led to our current geography—and even more time to retrace our path and alter the course of our travels.

Mercury (communications, travel, electronics) moves retrograde from April 9-May 3, marking a time of review as opposed to action. It’s fine to work on existent projects, but it’s not a good time to begin new ones. The rule for Mercury retro is to review communication, expect breakdowns with electronics, and act in a patiently with delays. (Mercury will move from Taurus to Aries, so this retrograde involves “fire” including passion, temper, and impatience.)

Venus

Traditionally, Venus (beauty, love, feminine) in retrograde brings our fears and issues about relationships and love to the surface. But Venus is exalted in Pisces (water=emotion) and conjuncts (close to) Chiron, the wounded healer. It points to the possibility of mitigating karma through relinquishing lower beliefs and focusing on a new realm of opportunity. (Neptune, symbolizing illusion and idealism, is also in Pisces. Venus’ placement in the same sign, indicates that positive use of the imagination can bring in a new reality.)

Saturn (karma, limitation, time) in Sagittarius moves into retrograde on April 6, and it can bestow a heavy, weighted feeling to particular aspects of life — depending on what changes are needed in our personal lives. Saturn retrograde pushes us to say “no” to the aspects of life (and people) that are not working. It’s about releasing commitments, which cause frustration and unhappiness. Ultimately, it’s about making changes to achieve inner growth.

Jupiter

Jupiter (good fortune)  remains retrograde through June 8. Jupiter retrograde in Libra involves examining areas of happiness, growth, and wealth to create balance. It’s a good time for spiritual reflection and listening to the inner self. For example, it may be a time of becoming convinced that we truly want our relationship, particular direction with work, or lifestyle—and knowing they are a source of happiness.

Pluto (underworld, transformation)  retrograde can increase our capacity to regenerate in any area of life, particularly if we are willing to look at our inner issues that hidden beneath problems and/or lack of results. Pluto’s regenerative ability applies to the body, inner psychology, and spiritual nature.

Overall, April is a good month to examine our limitations in love and our ability to use thought to transcend limitations of the mind and mass consciousness. The mind tends to repeat our beliefs in response to particular stimuli. Through the use of love and will, we can alter both thought and emotion, which can create harmonious change.

Notes on Aspects:

  1. Among the stronger aspects, Venus squares Saturn, which can involve releasing karma relating to love and relationships (thoughts, emotions, and beliefs traveling in the wrong direction.) On the whole, universal love is quite a bit stronger than a negative aspect, and Venus is LOVE. By focusing on universal, mystical love, we can move into a higher vibration.
  2.  Jupiter opposes Uranus. When Jupiter and Uranus are in opposition, it gives the desire to start anew and leave behind current restrictions and structures. It’s probably best to create small adventures and avoid “huge” changes—when several planets are retrograde.
  3. Mars and Pluto trine (harmonious) on April 6, increasing charisma and the desire to succeed. Both planets are placed in earth signs, giving power to alter our outer life.
  4. Jupiter opposes Pluto, which can magnify the desire for success and power. It’s fine to move into achievement and success if it’s based on the heart—but not for purposes of the ego.
  5. Despite the retrogrades, there are many fine energies for developing a stronger connection with the inner self and moving into a place of love divine.

Julia Griffin, intuitive healer and owner of One True Self, began her work fifteen years ago under the tutelage of real wolves. Finding Higher Vibrations

Moving through the shift requires diligence, persistence, and connection; it also requires love. Simply loving our lives invokes a powerful state of being that invokes transformation.

  1. The universe reveals our lower and higher nature as a part of altering our frequency to a higher level. When the lower nature is revealed, observe and acknowledge. Trust the process. Love both parts of you. Let go of judgment.
  2. Time is one of the issues of the current shift. Time lengthens when we meditate or work with the soul. It shortens when we listen to the ego (monkey mind), become too involved in worldly affairs, or listen too much to the task list. By watching the passage of time, we receive insights about our behavior and the placement of the heart.
  3. Face the inevitable with a strong heart. Awakening changes our perception of life. Welcome it and move into the deepening motion of new life. (Accept new perspectives, let go of people, locations, and events, and open to the widening of life.)
  4. Call on your guides and angels often. A strong connection with our angels can change “reality” immensely. Ask them for the best possible vision (or version) of life—and insights and intuitions on how to bring it into being.
  5. See the beauty whenever possible. Look for the smiles of people with open hearts. Notice the perpetual, spiritual alignment of children and animals. Spend time in nature. Make time for 2 or 3 short walks or sit outside and meditate.
  6. Whenever possible, choose not to judge. When life seems to flow in the wrong direction, ask if there is a lesson or benefit in the change of direction. Sometimes, we are asked to slow down, enjoy nature, or see life from a new perspective. Value and learn from twists and turns in life.
  7. Ask for greater connection, development of spiritual gifts, and the power to move more deeply into the spiritual self. Sometimes, we have to ask for what we want.
  8. (It’s helpful to visualize how we feel and respond in a more spiritual state.) Obviously, some of us feel the shift more strongly than others. The universe speaks to us in accordance with our inner state of connection.
  9. Sometimes, it’s helpful to focus on what we gained from the difficulties of the past. After all, we are the result of all of our experiences, which can give insight into our spiritual nature.

Manifestation, A Key to Self-Discovery

Manifestation is part of awakening. We become aware of how we create our lives as we grow in consciousness. (Everyone is already manifesting, but it’s mainly unconscious.) If we imagine a loop of tape playing and replaying, we might wonder why it continues to play, or we might decide to change the tape. That’s the basic substance of manifestation.

When we realize that we have the power to change the tape, then we alter the direction of our lives. If this realization comes with awakening (and a higher level of vibrations), we know it’s important to create a life in alignment with the inner self. As we expand into light and love, we naturally want to create and experience more “good” in life. Ultimately, it’s beneficial to ourselves and the people around us because everyone benefits from a higher frequency.

Here are a few tips:

  1. Meditation is one of the keys to the realization of the heart’s desire. It brings alignment with the inner self, which quietens thoughts and stills emotions. It also gives connection to the universe, the biggest source of love and light.
  2.  Manifestation alters our perception. It teaches focus on the positive sensations and images of what we want to create. When we focus on the good in life and see the positive, we move into higher vibrations where more possibility and opportunity exist. By focusing the mind, we learn to alter our perceptions.
  3. Many of our perceptions are based on experience and belief, which occur as part of our encounters with life. It doesn’t mean that life always responds in this way, or the outcome never changes. It simply implies that we need to see and feel life differently–and believe that we can change it in a positive sense.
  4. Working with manifestation teaches discernment. Over time, we learn the value of “things” lies in their resonance with our heart. If our desire doesn’t align with the heart or our inner self, it won’t bring joy. But repeated experiences teach the difference between the desires of the inner and outer being.
  5. Focusing on a positive vision teaches control of lower emotions and thoughts. Part of any manifestation lies in the substitution of one thought and image for another. (We can’t change and/or control everything, but we can influence a great deal. Also, we can change our emotions and thoughts.)
  6. The practice teaches a great deal about inner power as well as the changes that occur when we connect with the universe and the inner self. We can use the same practice to alter other people’s lives–and the world. (Everyone and everything is happier in a higher frequency.)
  7. The heart space expands when we step into creating the vision of the inner self. We feel more love and peace. And the world becomes more beautiful.

An Alternative Method of Peace

Barbara Marciniak said, “You must learn to end the wars in your world by ending them in your mind.”  It feels logical to proceed by embracing peace within our mind and heart. Thought and emotion are known to impact the energetic field, and they are measurable in quantum science. (Everyone has been affected positively and negatively by another person’s emotions or thoughts.)

Peace is a state of mind, which occurs within the stillness of the inner self. It is a higher frequency—a set of vibrations emitted by the inner self.  In general, it is accompanied by a set of feelings, sensations, and a specific visual. When we connect with the inner self, there is an absence of conflicting thought. It is the state associated with stillness—an alignment with the heart.

In this space of connection, we encounter universal concepts such as peace, love, harmony, and joy. In general, the concepts are similar for everyone, but we color them with individual sensations and visualizations. From a place of stillness, it is possible to project a personal vision of peace into the world around us.

In alchemy, it’s said that every particle of matter is composed of light. Matter responds to higher frequencies and changes its shape. (This is seen in cymatics as well as Masaru Emoto’s work with water.) At any rate, mind over matter has been demonstrated many times.

Harmonious vibrations—which are free from duality—can affect physical matter. These vibrations could be described as higher frequencies, which are generated and received by people who are capable of perceiving and projecting them. When a “higher” visualization or feeling is received and repeated throughout many energy field, it is naturally amplified. When many of us focus on our personal sensation of peace repeatedly, it eventually affects the overall energy—as well as the conceivable future.

Mahatma Ghandi thought a concept or movement was much more powerful when it promoted what it stood for rather than fighting against what it opposed. It is a non-dualistic view, based on a simple focus on a higher concept. (When we are connected to our inner self, there is no duality—only wholeness, which provides sensations, which flow from this place of being. By projecting those thoughts and feelings strongly, we affect the matter or physical world around us.)

Coming from a place of wholeness does not mean closing our eyes to the darkness in the world. But it does involve limiting judgement and refraining from deep discussions about wrongness on earth. That’s because negative people and places thrive on negative energy. It’s the best way of creating more of what we don’t want.

The Age of Aquarius focuses on group endeavors, collective consciousness, higher thought, and the quantum field. Higher thought comes when the mind is connected with the heart. It’s easy to identify those thoughts because they are clear, align with universal concepts, and often bring a feeling of softness and relief. More importantly, it’s possible to project those thoughts to others and to the world-at-large. It’s how the quantum field operates.

Tips:

  • Meditating on a personal feeling of peace is easier than seeing peace for the world. From place of connection, it is easily expanded and sent to others as well as geographical locations.
  • When we identify a strong sensation of peace for ourselves, we automatically vibrate it outward. (Change begins within personal world.)
  • It’s helpful to choose a color, symbol, or identify a specific energy as peace. The soul often reads energy in symbols. It can be sent to others.
  • Spend 5 or 10 minutes each day in meditation. In this place, there is no movement between polarities. There is only love and peace. Everyone can contribute to the effort in this way.
  • Avoid television, violence, and lower vibrations. Try to keep discussions focused on the positive and good changes within the world. (When something causes a strong upset or emotion, try Ho’oponopono or seeing the opposite of the situation.)
  • Work on eliminating personal judgement, particularly of friends, co-workers, and loved ones. It’s better to see the “good” in them and accept their place of being. And it’s more positive to work on personal peace. (Judgement causes movement between the higher and lower self.)
  • Create a personal vision of peace in the future and dwell on it occasionally.
  • With all metaphysical activity, we have to operate partially on faith while believing in the universe and our power to bring about change.

A Time to Transition

newsletter_colorswirl

It’s a time of transition when everything changes on a daily basis. We may feel light or darkness, the weight of mass consciousness or the uplifting of higher “light” consciousness, and view our karma or the uplifting of our spirit. It’s wonderful because many of us are awakening, and it’s difficult because many people are sleeping.

Here are a few tips.

  1. We see the darkness as we approach “more” light. We also feel it more because awakening opens our intuitive abilities, and we feel intuition through our physical senses, emotions, and thoughts. (It won’t last. We’ll eventually be uplifted by the light.)
  2. Part of the difficulty lies with group awakening. We feel others in the group—their darkness and their light. We haven’t learned how to align with others in our quest for a higher frequency. Stay patient, open, and see connection with the heart space of other light workers.
  3. Bless the good. It’s a strange occurrence, but life does become better when we focus on the good.
  4. We always have the power to tune into the light for solutions. We also have the power to choose positive emotions, change our words, or alter our thoughts. The “positive” holds a higher frequency, and it will eventually alter a great deal.
  5. When we can’t find the good in the world, we can always go within. There is always light within us and the universe. Our universal connection provides. (The light always returns if we are consistent with our practices. Admittedly, it is sometimes brighter on specific days.)
  6. Focus on the heart when in the outer world. When we focus on the heart, people often respond very differently, and life takes on a better “flow.”
  7. Time and space react very differently in the New Age. A desire and/or visualization may come into form immediately, or it may require numerous (almost unlimited) repetitions. The relationship of time and space have a great deal to do with geographic location, earth currents, and our openness to change, which can be karmic.
  8. On a strange level, we’re realizing energy is everywhere. New tools and devices have been invented to capture and use energy. The internet displays our choices when offering ads, books, movies, and possible connections, offering another version of how our thoughts and emotions reflect reality.
  9. When we realize the universe holds the power to deliver abundance, joy, love, and answers, we will tune into it more often. At this point, our group reality will change for better. (It’s not outside. It’s inside.)
  10. One of the biggest changes of the new age revolves around the resonance of love. Love is more about staying in a place of universal love, which is unconditional. It nourishes our body and soul, freeing us from personal preferences. (This doesn’t mean spending time with people who pull us downward, but it does mean freedom from the lower emotions we may have about them.)

Full Moon Forecast: Odd Energy Ahead

astronomyconstellation

December’s Full Moon came on Tues, Dec 13. It is another super moon, meaning it is close to the earth and exerts more influence on our emotions, the tides, and water levels of the earth. With a super moon, we feel the effect for several days.

If the world has felt heavy or tiring, there are good reasons for it. It’s an intense chart with Sun in Sagittarius, conjunct (close placement) Saturn, the ruler of time, old age, structure and limitation. It’s easy to feel both the limitations of our personal life and the world at large, but both signs are placed in Sagittarius, which brings hope and optimism. (The chart asks for a realistic look at life while imagining greater possibilities.)

The Sun (life), Moon (emotions, inner self), and Saturn (limitation) form a T-square (pressure) with Chiron, the wounded healer. Part of the equation involves healing and/or releasing the past to heal emotions when creating a new future. Spiritual work involves moving beyond our wounds, and it also involves releasing the past, which include a net of beliefs that limits our potential and spiritual power.

The Moon is in Gemini, an air sign denoting communication, and it opposes Sun (life) and Saturn (limitation.) The Moon rules emotions, which may feel overwhelming because the Sun/Saturn demands looking at the structure of our lives. Moon in Gemini loves socializing, traveling, and talking—which is confusing when scrutiny is required to take the next step. Fortunately, the Moon trines Mars (assertion) and Jupiter (good fortune), increasing the possibility of taking positive action to reap good outcomes.

Mercury (communication) is placed in Capricorn, a practical earth sign. It moves into retrograde on Thursday, December 15, and retrogrades in earth signs can feel particularly slow and heavy. Attempt completion of errands and shopping before December 15, then plan to take a needed rest to renew body and soul. (Retrogrades are about rest, review, and rethinking projects. Mercury will also conjunct Pluto, the underworld, so expect to learn secrets and hidden knowledge.)

Mars (energy, assertion) and Venus (beauty, femininity) are both placed in Aquarius, which brings a sparkly, electrical quality. In this position, Venus is a bit detached about love, but Mars’ trine with Jupiter (good fortune), meaning it’s possible to bring about wonderful happenings by focusing on harmony and higher consciousness.

Outer Planets

Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) sextiles Saturn and opposes Uranus. Jupiter’s sextile with Saturn (time, karma) can pull in resources, but the opposition (two ideas/thoughts in opposite directions) suggests focusing on new directions and ideas for income.

Saturn (time, karma, structure) trines Uranus (sudden change, quantum field), indicating the possibility of clearing karma by uniting with our true self and the universe-at-large. Saturn squares (tension) Neptune (mysticism, illusion), creating confusion about structures, truth, and religion.

Uranus and Pluto (resources, underworld) are squared once more; it’s the last tight square of the four year dance between the 2 planets, which appeared as a dive into the underworld, followed by realizations, which come from the light. Overall, it’s often acted as a wrecking ball. Perhaps, we’ll move into more light as the square fades in the coming year.

Tips:

  • Two distinct equations influence the chart. One involves moving into the light and embracing the quantum field. The other side of the equation accentuates the need to release the past and its structures while making a “new” place to allow the light to enter.
  • The placement of Venus in Aquarius can open our hearts to potential, change, and New Age methods of thinking and feeling. For example, we might gain a deeper understanding of healing with sound and color—or the unity of group consciousness when focused on the heart.
  • The chart suggests the importance of innovation when creating success. Think out of the box and float out into the universe when reviewing ideas for work and life.
  • Mercury retrograde in Capricorn along with Sun conjunct Saturn suggests a heavy energy for the next week or so. Work to remain focused on good things like universal power and love.
  • There’s a sliding motion between the heaviness of human life and the potential of the quantum field. Observe both and meditate on the inner self.

Sabian Symbols (based on Lynda Hill’s Sabian Symbols)

Sun is on Sagittarius 23, A Group of Immigrants Fulfilling Requirements before Entering a New Country. On a higher level, the symbol could refer to proponents of the New Age and meeting the requirements of light—the measurement of the heart.

Moon sits on Gemini 23. Three Fledglings in a Nest. This symbol denotes the concept of a stage from dependence to independence. In this case, it may refer to the growth needed by light workers before joining together to shift reality. (No one is quite ready to leave their “home” or comfort zone.)

Mercury is placed on Capricorn 13, A Fire Worshiper Meditates on the Ultimate Realities of Existence. In metaphysics, fire represents passion for the spiritual world—the burning away of the ego. It doesn’t work unless we’re centered on the divine. (Fire can also represent burn-out and anger. It’s about how constructively we use or don’t use our inner fire.)

Venus is on Aquarius 8, Beautifully Gowned Wax Figures on Display. This symbol asks to look beyond the creation of appearances and illusion and see if the figure and inner beauty match.

Mars sits on Aquarius 26, A Garage Man Testing a Car’s Battery with a Hydrometer. With Mars on this placement, it asks for matching our emotions with a higher level of consciousness before taking action. (Water is emotion. Mars is action, and a battery gives energy to the car. The hydrometer tests the water or emotion of the vehicle.)

Staying Connected

news_global

It’s challenging to stay centered, peaceful, and balanced when the energies of the world change several times each day. Empaths and healers feel the world turn and surge with global events and strong emotions of mass consciousness. We also feel the people around us.

The “light” energy amplifies everything. The energy is challenging, and it’s important to tap into the inner self on a regular basis to find our way.  Otherwise, we lose touch with the inner self, which acts as a light on the path.

Here are a few tips:

  1. Part of the influx of light is known as the acceleration and amplification. It makes time seem to pass more quickly, and we feel everything more—if we continue our soul work. There is a good reason for it. When we feel ourselves and others more, it amplifies everything in our system—the positive and the negative. When our negative emotions and thoughts feel stronger, we want to change them. When our positive emotions become more intense, we seek this state. In other words, the strong currents of emotions and thought can lead to our higher self.
  2. When we choose the inner self, we automatically move into a higher vibration. Higher vibrations displace lower vibrations. When we focus on love and peace, the emotions flow through every level of our consciousness; they flood body, mind, and soul. (This teaches persistence and devotion because the impact and level of higher emotion increases with significant work.)
  3. Every few hours, there is a surge and ebb of global emotion and thought. If we know the surge or ebb of energy and emotion comes from the outer world, we can seek the solace of the inner self. We can focus on love, forgiveness, or simply see a better world. (Anything with a higher vibration will do.) Becoming conscious of the input of lower consciousness helps in understanding how our emotions and thoughts are influenced by others.
  4. We are touched by everyone’s energy. As we gain awareness of this, we can shield, alter our relationships, or choose to release specific people in life. Ultimately, we have to choose people who help lift our vibrations and/or look at others with compassion.
  5. Freedom comes from moderating our impulses and emotions by becoming incredibly aware of energy. Our true source of energy comes from the inner self and the universe. It’s necessary to cultivate it to have the strength and insight to navigate through life.

NOTE: If you are practicing meditation daily, you’ve probably noticed how moods and emotions alter throughout a given day. The lower moods appear, disappear, and return during the day, and it’s helpful to accept and observe them. You also learn that the inner self brings stability, grounding, and focus—as well as peace and love.

Creating More Blessings

news_mandala

It’s interesting to note that it is possible to expand your blessings by altering the flow of your mind. When you learn to focus on universal connection, the direction of life often changes.

Here are a few tips:

  1. Imagine blessings as a gentle, soft wind. If you stand in the wind, it lifts your hair, brings warmth, and makes delightful sounds. Imagine this as an energy, which you can feel and touch. It is moving gently through your life, and you receive its loveliness. (In general, people tend anticipate or feel anxiety about future. In this case, you are simply receiving.)
  2. When you meditate, think about the feeling of blessings in your life. Imagine the sensation expanding and growing. Feel the universal connection as it flows through this feeling.
  3. Send love and light to everything good in your life. Practice seeing more of it. When you focus on anything, you expand it. This includes material objects, love from people, and success in life. (Think of the mind as a magnifying glass. Look at the good things!)
  4. When you desire change, bless what exists. Give thanks for the good things while visualizing new ones. If you work with light, you will always desire expansion and growth. Part of light work involves dealing with duality and finding interesting solutions.
  5. Open to larger blessings than you’ve imagined in the past. (I like to use the image of an open door with light flowing through it. The light represents blessings and love.)
  6. Take a few moments daily to grasp the loveliness of your light and the power of your inner being. Direct your light to a higher level on a daily basis.
  7. Expect blessings and look for life to turn and change its direction in a wonderful way. It’s said that the universe knows what you want before it is voiced. (It’s the dance between the spirit world and physical world that brings beautiful things to life.)
