Working with the “Wave”

In metaphysics, the wave can refer to water signs and emotion, or it can refer to oscillation–the motion between the new reality and the old one.  Emotions occur as the result of an oscillation or movement between thought and physical sensation in the material world.

Metaphysics teaches us to pay attention to the heart and the inner voice when life is smooth–and when it is turbulent. By paying attention to the moment, we can observe life and deepen our connection because life moves in patterns of up and down—creating the sensation of duality.
Working with the energies of the shift from the old to the new world involves dealing with oscillation, which occurs within ourselves. If we can observe the motion by connecting with our inner self, it ceases. We progress on our spiritual path. (Transforming and raising our vibrations requires practice and patience, but it is worth the work!)
Tips:
1) When life moves easily, it’s good to expand the energy outwardly into the present and the near future. It’s also helpful to “see” good things for others and project a better, happier world. (Scientific experiments prove “seeing” good for others brings healing and positive energy into our lives.)
2)  When the emotional/mental waves are at a lower point, it’s helpful to know they will pass more quickly when we tap into the spiritual self. We can replace lower thoughts with positive thoughts; we can substitute a positive emotion for a lower one. (We do this by meditating on peace, harmony, joy, or the feeling of a higher vibration.)
3) It’s helpful to know emotions are contagious. We may pick them up from mass consciousness, other people, or locations with a lower frequency. We also receive lower vibrations when listening or reading (simultaneously) about negative events. Often, the feeling will pass when we know it doesn’t originate from the self.
4) Positive emotions occur at higher frequencies, and negative emotions occur at lower frequencies. It’s helpful to raise personal frequency by envisioning pink light, asking how it feels when connected with the inner self, or spending time in nature.
5) It’s important to discern if negative emotions occur because we are glimpsing an undesirable truth about a person or situation, seeing through a personal pattern, or seeing life in a light, which may not feel uncomfortable (yet.) In this case, rest, remove the mind from the problem, and gently reflect. Ask for help from the universe in discerning the answer.
6) The inner self always has a vision of a beautiful life, and angels are always around us. The “invisible” world (or quantum field) is said to be more real than visible world. It answers when we call on it—and when we’re ready to change.
7)  When we observe a thought or emotion, it becomes quieter. The inner self generates positive emotions and thoughts. It delivers peaceful answers. By putting our consciousness in this place, life changes. (This is also true about the outer world, and this practice can help in finding right action.)
8) Many teachings speak of “low” and “high” points as storms and rainbows. We think storms are difficult, and rainbows signal a time of abundance. Both are illusions on the path on life. Beyond the illusion is the path of light. If we remain on the journey, we find (and become) the light.

New Moon Forecast: Transformation

The New Moon appears on Saturday, November 18, and we’ll feel its effect for the next 10-14 days. The New Moon creates a void, a useful time for releasing, resting, and revitalizing our plans. The focus of the New Moon chart is transformation, healing, and opening to higher forms of love. Many healing aspects are mixed amidst the challenges.

The Sun (outer self, life) and Moon (inner life, emotions) are poised together in Scorpio on the same degree—with Venus (love, material goods, feminine) and Jupiter (good fortune) also placed in Scorpio. Birth, death, sex, and transformation—along with intense, psychic energy—are represented by this sign.

Essentially, Scorpio symbolizes the dark void, which we travel through when creating change. (The feeling of the void is increased by the New Moon.) No one likes the void because we don’t know the outcome. But light always guides us to a higher, better place–if we persevere.

Venus (love, feminine) and Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) are conjunct (close) in this chart. When love and expansion come together, it’s helpful and tends to bring beauty, hope, and opportunity into our lives. Venus and Jupiter trine (harmonious) Neptune (illusion, mysticism), which can lead us into a greater “feeling” of love. (Neptune rules water or emotion, and this aspect is harmonious. The highest expression of emotion is universal love.)

Mercury sits in Sagittarius, a fire sign, encouraging optimism, rapid thought, and interest in spirituality. Mercury conjuncts Saturn (time, karma), aiding with devotion and self-discipline. Mercury trines Uranus (awakening), which expands our ability to transcend the lower mind and to receive information from the higher, universal mind. The planet also squares (tension) Neptune, and this can cause confusion when looking at life (personal and global). Mercury square Neptune makes it difficult to separate truth and illusion. (Think of fake news, etc.)

Mars remains in Libra, which is not a wonderful placement. Mars rules action, warriors, and male energy, but Libra likes to deliberate and slowly weigh the matters of life. Currently, Mars opposes (2 opposite energies) Uranus (awakening, sudden change), and it can cause a feeling of pressure.

Everyone experiences anger about the state of world and/or their personal life. It happens, and we’re in the process of clearing it. Mars opposite Uranus can churn up anger, but it’s important to express through higher channels such as boundaries, acknowledging other people’s feelings, and speaking from the heart. (We could realize much misunderstanding occurs in relationships because of soul contracts.)

Mars squares (tension) Pluto, and it’s the same lesson on another level. Pluto (transformation, subconscious) has a way of releasing illusions about life and teaching us about how the universe would like us to align with Divine Will. (We can release anger by sending it up to the light, move into action on a new project, or transform it by changing our selves.)

Saturn (time, karma) and Uranus (awakening, sudden change) remain trine, helping us to integrate the old world and the new one. It simply makes acceptance of the changes in the world a bit easier—along with giving innovative ideas that can blend with structures from the past.

Sun and Moon (life and inner self) trine (harmonious) Chiron, the wounded healer. This aspect can align us with inner healing in a gentle way. Mercury (communication) and Saturn (time, karma) square Chiron, so it may take thought and time to incorporate the information received during the New Moon period.

Notes:

  1. The opportunity for transformation and healing comes with this chart. It’s important to decide where we want healing and change. Make decisions, plans, and listen by listening to your inner self.
  2. Neptune (illusion, mysticism) can awaken the dreams of our soul, particularly through day dreaming and meditation, It can reawaken our inner longings. Venus (love) and Jupiter (expansion) trine Neptune, which can align us with personal and universal love.
  3. In this chart, Mercury (mind, communications) is most useful on an intuitive level. Sometimes, the best answers come through meditation.
  4. Aspects between Mars, Uranus, and Pluto ask for release of frustration and anger to a higher source, the Universe. True transformation comes from exploring our hidden thoughts, emotions, and beliefs–and shining light on them.
  5. Sun and Moon trine Chiron. We will likely receive glimpses and hints of self-healing, which always involve self-love.

Last Quarter Moon: Continued Evolution

Amidst the rain and falling leaves, the moon wanes into its last quarter. Traditionally, the last quarter marks the time of releasing aspects of physicality (cleaning closets, weeding the garden, or giving up bad habits.) It’s also a time of surrender—of letting go of patterns, judgments, and beliefs, blocking the next level of spiritual growth.  Essentially, it’s a preparation for the new moon cycle, which marks beginnings.

Like many New Age charts, this one offers odd placements for mitigating karma and finding the voice of the inner self. It’s a way of turning darkness (karma) into light (the soul). There is an emphasis on flowing emotion, which can give brilliant thoughts and practical insights. (If we stay calm, we may literally “feel” our way into a greater light.)  We may also move into the mystical side of life through dreams and subtle realizations.

Sun (life), Venus (love), and Jupiter (good fortune) are in Scorpio, a water sign, and they align beautifully with Neptune, the ruler of the sea. The sea of emotion can batter or lift life. On the highest level, water represents unconditional love and acts as a balancing agent with thoughts and sensory information.

Moon (emotions) sits in Leo (on Friday), a fire sign, and it trines Mercury (thought), Jupiter (good fortune), and Uranus (the quantum field.) In other words, our emotions will harmoniously aid with thought, moving forward in life, and increase awakening. Mercury (thought, communication) is in Sagittarius; it squares Neptune, which means the rational mind may question the subtle, spiritual messages.

Venus (love) in Scorpio opposes Uranus (awakening, sudden change). In this case, Venus longs to hold on to her old ideals, familiar passions, and interpretation of life, and Uranus (always) wants change. Oppositions are not comfortable because we move back and forth between two principles, but it’s important to wait and review our desires until the aspect changes. (Otherwise, it can bring erratic changes.)

Sun (life), Venus (love), and Jupiter (good fortune) make lovely trines to Neptune, which can create beautiful dreams of life. It can act as a inspirational, creative energy–if we apply the energy. Otherwise, we may become lost in the dream like Odysseus and the sirens. Overall, these aspects are lovely and serve to lift our spirits on an emotional level while enhancing intuitive abilities.

Mars (action, male energy) in Libra and Uranus (awakening, sudden change) square Pluto, the god of the underworld. Mars in Libra has difficulty weighing information while making decisions, and Uranus wants immediate action. (It can feel difficult to make the right decision and/or take the right action.) Both planets form squares with Pluto, which brings darkness to the surface. With these aspects, it’s important to think before acting or speaking–and to consider the outcome with a calm point of view.

Five Ways to Find More Light

With current shifts in the world, it’s not always comfortable to live in a sea of change. It is possible to shift our consciousness to a higher point–and vibrate above the lower frequencies. It takes practice and repetition to do anything, but life feels much better when we remember how (and where) to change our consciousness.

  1. Nature always helps. Sit under a tree or go for a walk. (The needles of evergreens provide cleansing energy. Hold them between the fingers for 30-60 seconds.) Ponder the expanse of sky, and focus on the line between the earth and heaven. This line provides a great deal of energy. Ask nature to help by easing pain and lifting the spirit. (Nature listens.)
  2. When afraid and/or depressed, focus on the inner self. Think about connecting to the universe–and the sensation of light. (Focus on the feeling of sunlight, if necessary.) This simple act repels the darkness and alleviates fear.
  3. Become neutral. Learn to refrain from judging others–even when they’re wrong. Staying neutral means observing the situation and pulling back from reaction.
  4. Remain patient about life. The light is growing even as the darkness becomes apparent. The end of one cycle is the beginning of another cycle. It’s wise to surrender to the process while envisioning a new level of happiness and peace. (This is true on a personal and outer level.)
  5. Take time to love the self. Reflect on the many expressions of love, which range from fierceness to tenderness, unconditional giving to strong boundaries, and self-nurturing to surrendering to the flow of life. Oddly, loving the self (in the right way) is helpful in developing the power to send love and light to others.

Simple, Difficult Lessons

The biggest lessons often involve daily life. They are about becoming conscious during repetitious and emotional activities. The lessons also have to do with our perception of light–and the world. (They also teach us how to blend the current self and the higher self in many aspects of life.)

If you’re encountering these lessons and feelings, it simply means you are awakening and moving into a higher level of self-development. Observe often and love yourself for your courage and fortitude!

  1. Moving more deeply into trust. Trust that the universe is taking care of you. Your higher self can always find the path and lead you into a place of peace, safety, and comfort. (When life is difficult, move into the inner self. Listen to your intuition. Make an active effort based on your inner voice, heart, or another feeling.)
  2. Your light is growing. You feel more of it when you meditate, and you find your light when you’re upset. Some days, everything falls into place. You find easier to understand other people’s point of view—even when you don’t agree. You know everything is changing for the better despite how the world might appear. (It takes time for spiritual creations to move into form.)
  3. Invisible connections. When you meditate, you feel others who are doing the same. Periodically, you sense the light of many other people in the world. Love and light flow through you. You think about a small problem, and someone (or something) provides the answer.
  4. Soul Contracts. People are moving in and out of your life. A soul contract is an agreement to meet a specific person during this lifetime. It includes children, spouses, parents, friends, and enemies. There is always a strong pull. Generally, it’s about resolving issues, growing into greater love, offering support, and working through emotions (both good and bad). It’s an almost inexplicable attraction/repulsion between individuals. (In soul contracts, one person may grow, and the other doesn’t move into love. Growth can also come from negative people, which results in creating boundaries. You may also move into greater love and strength. Regardless, there is always a feeling of “fate”.
  5. Accept the alternating energies. Nothing moves or happens as it did in the past. The sun and moon are often on a different course. Patterns of nature and the weather are changing. Overall, the changes can aid with spiritual growth because you cannot repeat the same actions at the same time every day. But you can hold fast to your practices. You can send light to others and the world. (Sleeping and eating patterns are changing. Listen within for guidance.)
  6. Listen with your heart. Softer emotions are replacing anger, fear, and judgement. You’re learning to pause before speaking. You’re beginning to realize how life moves in a different rhythm when you listen and respond. You experience an uplifting sensation of happiness when acting on your inner instruction.
  7. Sense the invisible world. You have moments of knowing. Beneath the appearance of the physical world, energy moves. It’s invisible and powerful. It speaks through intuition, and you’re tapping into it. You realize that person didn’t mean what they said, or the news is diverting your attention. You open the window and feel nature calling to you. You suddenly know who will call you or how the day will move. You know how to find a higher vibration (some of the time) and shift the circumstances that are flowing around you.

Full Moon Forecast

November’s full moon on the 4th is particularly lovely, and this forecast touches on spiritual vision and the use of will. In metaphysics, love, will, and power are three qualities, which are developed on the path of light and love. (Venus is very present in this chart, so love is provided—if we tap into it.) Overall, the chart presents beautiful, uplifting energy along with the ever present challenges, which can create both growth and change.

Sun (life) in Scorpio heightens vision, strength, and magnetism. Scorpio is water, representing emotion and mysterious intuitive insights. Moon in Taurus accentuates persistence, will, discipline, and the ability to put concepts into physical form. It is an earth sign, heightening our ability to shape matter through consciousness in the physical world.

Mercury (thought, communications) is placed in Scorpio, and it expands our power to perceive and communicate spiritual mysteries and information. It sheds light on the hidden world and brings information to the surface. This placement can aid in discerning the relationship between feelings and thoughts.

Venus (love, beauty, relationships) is beautifully placed in Libra. Both Taurus and Libra are ruled by Venus, so we may glimpse moments of  the true feeling of harmony and love in relationships, or we may notice disharmony. (In moments of disharmony, we can see the opposite of our experience. When experiencing harmony, we can expand the feelings.) Harmony and love tend to increase beauty and wealth.

Mars (action, male) sits in Libra, creating balance between the female and male principals in life. It also bestows the “feeling” of how life could look and feel if we embraced harmony, beautify, and balance. With Mars in Libra, an air sign, we may perceive needed changes on a mental or emotional level but lack the energy to make alterations. It’s helpful to observe and wait a day or two before pushing into small changes.

Jupiter (good fortune, expansion) is placed in Scorpio. Like the full moon, it can shed light on the darkness. Good fortune is often created by finding our gifts, hidden in the darkness of the past, and finding the bravery to step forward on a new path. Growth also comes from compassion, and seeing/creating goodness for others. It’s how we see light in the dark.

Aspects

Aspects speak of the geometry between planets, the shapes and energies that flow between them. Aspects with the inner planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter) affect our personal life. Outer planets speak of group consciousness, energies, and global change.

Sun in Scorpio conjuncts (close to) Jupiter (expansion, growth), and it aids in understanding how to travel through our personal darkness to find light, grace, and redemption. Sun trines (harmonious) Neptune in Pisces, opening the door to mystical realizations and increasing the possibility of seeing through illusion.

Moon in Taurus is in opposition (2 opposite energies) to Jupiter in Scorpio. Our desire to build and create a new life (Moon) is opposed to our need to see beneath the surface of life (Jupiter). In spiritual work, it is necessary to see how we block and oppose our inner desires—or recognize such forces in our lives. After this realization, life often becomes more supportive. (Moon also trines Pluto in Capricorn, increasing our ability to become resourceful and find answers.)

Venus conjuncts (close to) Jupiter, indicating love of self can lead us through the darkness and into exceptional growth. Venus opposes (2 opposite energies) Uranus, which can cause strong, erratic emotions and sudden change. The desire to experience life in a particular way (Uranus) and the need to love and understand relationships on a deeper level conflicted in this position. (Think, meditate, and wait to act.) Venus also square Pluto, which creates tension about the use of power and can bring subconscious memories to the surface. (Focus on love, and the conflicts will fade.)

Mars (male, assertion) squares (tension) Pluto (underworld, transmutation). It covers the topics of sex and power, which have appeared everywhere in the past few weeks. Of course, the aspect includes larger energies. It’s about using our power wisely and kindly—and remembering that the best world changes come from love, compassion, and vision.

Jupiter (good fortune) opposes Uranus (awakening, sudden change). We’ll move between 2 sets of energy with this aspect. Jupiter wants a slow, deep look at life, and Uranus desires a huge burst of energy directed into the new world. Jupiter trines (harmonious) Neptune, asking us to exchange negative emotions for mystical love; it can also enhance dreams. (Journal them.)

Saturn (time, karma) trines (harmonious) Uranus (awakening, change), offering help with the current transition from the Piscean and Aquarian Ages. It helps in integrating the old and new concepts of both world.

Mercury (mind) trines (harmonious) Chiron (the wounded healer), which helps in using the mind to transcend old wounds. Saturn (time, karma) squares (tension) Chiron, and it brings old memories and pain to the surface. Use the mind to create possibilities such as feelings and visuals that travel in the opposite direction. This action brings in new energies that lift the soul and heal the body.

Jupiter in Scorpio: The Big Reveal

Jupiter moved into Scorpio on October 10. As the largest planet in galaxy, we feel the pull of the Jupiter’s power as the opportunity to enlarge, improve and benefit in life. As the largest planet in the galaxy, we’ll feel its pull and power to enlarge, improve and benefit through the specific sign of its placement. Scorpio rules birth, sex, death—or states of transformation.

Scorpio is an intense water sign, mysterious and resourceful. Its strength is willpower and decisiveness, but it doesn’t mind walking on the dark side of life. Scorpio tends to have laser-like vision and sees objects in the dark or on the earth that others miss. In this way, it often reveals truths that otherwise would be hidden.

Jupiter in Scorpio will reveal truths hidden the in subconscious, shadowy aspects of life, and secrets in outer world. Scorpio also rules birth, sex, and death, and regeneration.(The Weinstein sex scandal is a perfect example. It appeared in the news as Jupiter moved into Scorpio, and it involves sex, money, and power. )  Jupiter tends to bring blessings, and the combination of Jupiter and Scorpio lifted a dark event into the light for clearing and change.

The sign of Scorpio is represented by the scorpion, eagle, and phoenix. The three creatures symbolize the progression of Scorpio through the scorpion that lives close to the earth and stings (hurts) anything that threatens. The eagle soars above the earth as a powerful predator; it has powerful vision but remains a hunter. Burned to ashes through emotional intensity, the phoenix rises through the ashes, achieving regeneration through spiritual fire.

Influences and Benefits:

  • Scorpio’s decisive ability comes from its power to sense and recognize truth on an intuitive level. Jupiter will expand its power to convey courage and strength. Courage and decisiveness are necessary to move through fear and obstacles on the quest of the soul. (The past two years in Libra focused on seeing both sides of the picture and weighing them carefully.)
  • Scorpio rules the void, the “between” states of birth, sex, and death. It can heighten our ability to move into shamanic or enlightened states where the spiritual world dictates the motion of mind, spirit, and body—and reveals the path of the soul. (Hopefully, we’ll return to a more natural, wholesome view of sex. Understand that the “dead” are with us—simply in another world.)
  • Spiritual knowledge is heightened by asking questions and solving mysteries. Think of the Zen koan, which asks, “What was your face before you were born?” Scorpio is masterful at solving mysteries associated with the occult, and Jupiter will help us with our journey.
  • As part of the Plutonian influence, Jupiter in Scorpio reveals what’s hidden–or we don’t want to see. (I’m not entirely sure if this is good or bad.) At any rate, we have to know the truth to develop spiritually. The big idea behind it lies in developing our ability to see the ugliness and difficulty in life while remaining true to the light. If we remain true to the light and our inner vision, we will go through a transformation, which alters our material reality as well as the self.
  • Transformation comes from Scorpio’s ruling planet, Pluto, which rules the underworld. In most mythical systems, it’s necessary to visit the underground to achieve hero status and/or the power to wield extraordinary powers. We’ll travel there during Jupiter’s 13 month sojourn.

It’s a challenging but enlightening combination of energies with Jupiter in Scorpio. Our emotions become stronger, and our passions will become more intense with a need to moderate. But Scorpio can be courageous. It gives resources to delve into the dark and resolve issues on many levels including transforming blocks to material wealth, moving through past obstacles, and understanding what is hidden within us along with the power to change it.

Embracing Light

When we focus on light, the universe sends more light. When we contemplate light, we begin to understand how it works and lends support. When we desire awakening, the universe leads us into many experiences in the invisible world such as synchronicities, esoteric teachings, and subtle answers, which provide direction in life.

Universal direction comes when we take time to connect with our soul. It may come from meditation, nature, animals, personal love, or creativity. If we recognize the “expansion”, we can create a great deal from this place—particularly with visualization.

Life responds to our visualizations, placement of consciousness, and attention. When we give attention to negative states or unwanted aspects of life, they expand. Conversely, positive thoughts and visualizations raise our vibration, creating the opposite. (It’s helpful to think of difficult areas of life as energy and to send light to them.)

By observing our personal patterns, we can alter them by changing the inner dialog (what we say to ourselves), focusing on a positive outcome or different response, and asking the universe for help. By asking the universe for help, we essentially ask for light and new perceptions of our problems. If we are open, small answers appear and coalesce.

Here are a few tips:

  1. When the focus is on awakening, we turn to the infinite source of energy, the universe. When we are connected to the inner self, we have more energy and enthusiasm about life. Essentially, we experience a rebirth through inner connection.
  2. It’s good to review our positive changes by noticing greater awareness, sensitivity, and intuitive changes.  We experience more of the object of our attention. (Life responds to attention and focus.)
  3. It’s helpful not to think we don’t want “something” in our lives. It’s better to visualize a positive change and act on it. It’s also positive to think of difficult areas in life as energy. We simply work to change and alter the energy.  (Energy can be changed through color, sound, or visualization. Our energy moves into a higher vibration when we use these techniques.)
  4. By noticing happiness, positive feelings, and goodness, we create more of them. When we focus on the good in life, we encounter more of it. (Experiment:  While waiting in line, focus on one good thing about a stranger and see how they respond. It may take one or two tries, but you’ll receive a positive response.)
  5. Make positive wishes and visualize often. When we see results clearly in our mind, we create them. Believe in the power of the inner self, which always perceives the beautiful, amazing side of life.
