The Full Moon appears on July 5 at 12:44 am ET, accompanied by an eclipse, the last in a series of three. The Full Moon is particularly potent with the presence of the eclipse, and it tends amplify whatever we think or feel. Think of all of the energies on the earth in a heightened state along with the growth and expansion associated with the Full Moon.
Fortunately, we’ve had practice with distancing ourselves from lower emotions and aligning with higher frequencies in past months. We’re probably ready for the reset that eclipses can bring. However, it requires skill to deal with the energies in general, particularly the upset of those around us. (A place of peace is a good beginning.) It’s important to stay in higher frequencies when possible as eclipses can raise our light level – if we receive the energy.
It’s a feminine chart with many placements in water and earth—an indication of the power of passive manifestations (seeing a desired outcome in the mind and watching it take form.) It’s a wonderful time to focus on manifestations and meditation. Five planets in retrograde (Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto) tend to quiet the energies.
Sun (life) is in Cancer, a water sign represented by the crab—and the mother who rules the feminine and the sea. Moon (emotions) is in Capricorn, the earth sign that rules structure. Several strong influences run through the chart including Mercury (communications) in retrograde, Venus moved direct, making it easier to send love and light, and Mars (action) moved into Aries, which denotes forward movement.
Sun (life, self) conjuncts (close to) Mercury (communications), which opens the door to the higher self, which can find the truth and choose the right answer. Sun (life) opposes Jupiter (good fortune, expansion), creating a tendency to overindulge and become overly optimistic. It can also lead to overworking. Sun trines (harmonious) Neptune (idealism, mysticism), allowing an influx of mystical information and access to our inner muse.
Moon (emotions) opposes Mercury, increasing duality between emotion and thought—or the sensation of bouncing between the two forms of expression. Moon (emotion) trines Uranus (sudden change, quantum field). This aspect helps in perceiving the unusual and intuitive abilities that are inherent within the self. It increases our intuitive feelings, opens our consciousness to exciting, new activities and/or happenings. It also allows greater perception of communication from the universe–and deeper understanding of the self. Moon (emotions) is conjunct (close to) Jupiter, and it’s a wonderful aspect, increasing faith in inherent quality of goodness and encouraging our desire to help others on a global level.
Mercury is in retrograde, which confuses the flow of everyday life–a state that has become familiar. With Mercury in Cancer and the approach of the eclipse, emotions may feel intense. It’s good to remember that Mercury rules more than communications or the mind. It also rules intuition and the higher mind, which gives connection with universal energies. (We can go into our heart and connect to the higher mind when we truly need direction.) Mercury sextiles (positive) Uranus (quantum field, sudden change), and the aspect can give bursts of inner knowing and/or brilliant ideas.
Venus (love, partnerships, material wealth) is direct in Gemini, increasing harmony in relationships, success with business and money, and heightening appreciation of beauty. When Venus is direct, the world feels better and happier. Placed in Gemini, Venus helps with short-term travels, creating beauty and art through new ideas, and amplifying love. Venus trines (harmonious) Saturn (limitation, structure), and this helps in perceiving the “good” in others and concepts relating to rebuilding our lives on the basis of love.
Mars is in Aries, a fire sign, which helps in moving ahead in life, acting on projects, and developing physical strength and inner willpower. Mars conjuncts (close to) Chiron, the wounded healer, and the aspect brings the pain to the surface so we can see the truth and make changes. The aspect also helps in bringing our gifts to world to help and serve others. Sun (life), Moon (emotions), and Mercury (thought) square Mars, creating tension between the flow of the way we feel, think, and live and the desire to take action. We may need to move into new thoughts, perceive life in another sense, or create new habits of feeling emotion to take needed steps.
Jupiter (expansion), Saturn (limitation, structure), and Pluto (underworld, transformation) return to the conjunction in Capricorn, which began early in the year, marking on the onset of the corona virus and changes of structure in the outer world. However, the planets are in retrograde, which may contract the flow of energy. (Let’s see it happening.) Aspects with Pluto tend to reveal hidden truths, which are not comfortable, but they lead to evolution and transformation.
- The energies will feel intense through July 4-6 when we’ll feel the combined energies of the Full Moon and the eclipse most. Use the energy to manifest a higher frequency and happier life. Spend time focusing on the sensation of the inner self.
- The feminine energies in the chart heighten emotion, but they also ground and support our energy. It’s a good time to focus on passive manifestation, the art of visualizing what you want.
- There are many supportive aspects in the chart Venus (love, material goods) direct helps with love and money, Sun conjunct Mercury increases the ability to tap into brilliant answers and ideas, Sun trine Neptune links the consciousness to mystical information, and Mars in Aries wants us to move ahead with our plans.
- Admittedly, there are perplexing aspects. Mercury is retrograde, causing mild chaos and disorderly thoughts. Our emotions and thoughts can feel contradictory. Our habits and way of life may frustrate efforts in expression of thoughts and action. Sun opposition Jupiter expands our need to overdo. Nevertheless, there are good aspects that open the mind to divine inspiration and higher realization.
- In 2020, we seem to have a lack of easy charts. Perhaps, we’re graduating to a higher level of light.
