Full Moon Forecast: Powerful Energy

The Full Moon appears on Monday, August 3 at 11:58 am. The Full Moon heightens energy and intensity; it increases growth, germination and fruition in the physical world. Sun in Leo indicates the importance passion, drama, and living from the heart. It’s a fire sign, encouraging work on desires, self-expression, and creativity.

The Full Moon sits on Aquarius 12, “People on a Vast Staircase Graduated Upwards”, which may represent ascension/awakening for those connected in humanitarian efforts and/or a higher light level. Aquarius is an air sign, symbolized by the Water Bearer, a star being who pours positive emotion (water) on the planet.

Sun (life, light) trines Mars (assertion, male energy), denoting self-confidence and strength with self-assertion. It enhances leadership and creative abilities. Sun and Moon (emotions) square Uranus (quantum field, sudden change) can heighten moodiness, cause sudden changes in feelings (and outbursts) and create a feeling of instability. On the positive, Uranus supports a positive attitude, independence, and the desire to move forward in a new way.

Mercury (communications) is placed in Cancer, a feminine water sign. In this placement, thoughts and emotions are easily confused and misread, but it can give greater understanding to personal thought processes and lead to compassion for others. Mercury trines (harmonious) Neptune (mysticism, illusion), which brings a lovely interplay between the rational and intuitive mind. Mercury opposes Jupiter (expansion), Saturn (limitation), and Pluto (transformation) in Capricorn.  The oppositions can cause conflict between our desire to communicate our thoughts and the limitation of  a time of isolation and structural change. (Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto are three planets, which influence the pandemic.)

Venus (relationships, income) in Gemini squares Neptune (mysticism, illusion), which can cause emotional reactions and hypersensitivity in relationships. On the positive, it aids in seeing the loveliness of life and artistic creations.

Mars (energy, assertiveness) is placed in Aries, which encourages moving forward in life and acting on plans for change. Mars squares (tension) Jupiter (expansion), which heightens the drive to succeed and make bold plans. Mars squares Saturn (karma, limitation), and the aspect brings frustrations, challenges, and tests. Patience and perseverance are required! Mars squares Pluto (transformation, underworld), indicating a feeling of pressure and intensity to achieve one’s goals.

Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) sits in Capricorn, an earth sign.  Jupiter trines Uranus (sudden change, quantum field), and the harmonious aspect delivers good luck, opportunity, and a broader vision of life. It can also benefit new ideas and creativity. Jupiter sextiles Neptune (illusion, mysticism), which gives uplifting feelings and a sense of optimism and lightness.

Jupiter (expansion), Saturn (limitation) and Pluto (underworld, transformation) remain in conjunction, which influences the corona virus, changes in the structure of the world, and perception of life on a global level.

Tips:

  1. The chart expands humanitarian energy, desire for mystical growth, and creativity. Sue in Leo and Mars in Aries heighten creativity and drive. Mercury trine Neptune helps to link the rational and intuitive mind. Venus square Neptune increases sensitivity and artistic perception. Jupiter trine Uranus opens the mind to creative, new ideas.
  2. Some of aspects cause feelings of frustration. Mars square Saturn brings tests and difficulties. Mars square Jupiter creates the desire to push through limitations, but a slower pace is needed to move through the blocks and tests.
  3. Mercury (communications) opposes Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto, making it difficult to succinctly express our thoughts.
  4. Sun and Moon square Uranus (quantum field, sudden change) can denote a feeling of instability—the flux of change. However, Uranus lends support when our consciousness is focused on the positive.
  5. As usual for 2020, it’s not an easy chart, but it offers a great deal to those who want awakening and growth.

Sabian Symbols, based on the work of Lynda Hill

Sun is on Leo 12, “An Evening Garden Party of Adults”, which depicts a break from everyday life and work, which encompasses socialization and the physical beauty of the world. The symbol could refer to our zoom meetings and teleseminars, used to learn more about the universe, the sharing of summer beauty on social media, or merging consciously with others who perceive the loveliness of the natural world. (True socialization happens among peers with similar interests and desire for growth.)

Moon sits on Aquarius 12, “People on a Vast Staircase Graduated Upwards”. It’s a perfect symbol for awakening humans who desire a higher level of understanding and universal love.  The energy of the moon actually pulls us together on a harmonious vibration.

Mercury is placed on Cancer 28, “An Indian Girl Introduces Her College Boyfriend to her Assembled Tribe”. Mercury rules communication, and the symbol indicates the need for diversity, open-mindedness, and a wider view as we move into spiritual maturity. It addresses the importance of stretching one’s horizon of thought, emotion, and beliefs on the spiritual journey.

Venus is on Gemini 27, “A Young Gypsy Emerging from The Woods Gazes at Far Cities”. The oracle points to the desire for new experiences, leaving the past behind, and creating new perspectives about life. Expansion of self can result from independence and exploration.

Mars is on Aries 20, “A Young Girl Feeding Birds in Winter”. Gentleness, love for nature, and benevolence are portrayed in this symbol. The value of nurturing, helping others and alignment with nature are emphasized as needed qualities in our actions, which is ruled by Mars.

Jupiter sits on Capricorn 20, “A Hidden Choir Singing During a Religious Service”.  The symbol hints at “hidden” or invisible forces, acting to raise our vibration and hearts. Although we can’t see the source, we can hear and feel uplifted by the sound and energy.
