The shift continues as spring brings loveliness, and the planet alters. When we rest, it’s possible to feel the gentleness of change. It’s also confusing when we move into (too much) action because many planetary and cosmic influences are fluctuating as they alter their influence.
Between now and May 15, the sun increases our vitality, power, and strength. Jupiter, the beneficial planet of good fortune and expansion, sits close to the earth. Both planetary influences allow us to move into a period of growth. (Many of us, particularly those on a higher level, have had numerous challenges since the equinox. The positive aspects do not negate them, but they can help in finding strength and power to move through obstacles.)
Before moving into the general forecast, let’s look at the important influences and shifts, specifically Uranus and Chiron. Both planets exude energies that affect group and global consciousness.
Chiron is in Aries, a fire sign, which marks new beginnings. Ruled by Mars and Pluto, Aries prefers action and boundaries as opposed to Chiron’s earlier position in Pisces.
Chiron, the wounded healer, was placed in Pisces for 8 years. Pisces rules emotion, karmic debt, and mystical connection with the universe. With this placement, we sensed karmic blocks and energetic issues but often lacked needed insights to move through the pattern. The placement encouraged love – and sometimes sacrifice –as a method of mitigation, but Chiron in Aries expands the process by encouraging right action to promote alignment with the inner self.
Uranus stays in a sign for approximately 7 years. Uranus rules sudden change and disruption, innovation and new insights and creative thoughts, and awakening and the quantum field. It can act like roller coaster by moving us from darkness into light or vice versa. Ultimately, it’s about the soul’s growth—and the realization of the inner self.
Due its proclivity to create change in many forms, Uranus can become a more stabilizing influence as it moves into Taurus, an earth sign ruling finance and the earth. It can also promote interest in environmental issues, alter our perception of abundance, or aid in grounding our spiritual understanding into a physical form.
As Uranus moves into Taurus, “new” earth is literally created in Hawaii through the action of volcanoes. This position increases the possibility of greater connection with the earth, animals, and minerals. With five outer planets in earth signs, it may be possible to create large changes through small actions and radical thinking—the ability to create change through the matrix of the mind.
Mercury (communication) in Aries, a fire sign, squares Mars (action) and Pluto (underworld, subconscious). Squares cause tension, and it’s important to think twice about the importance of communication. Think about how the other person will hear the words, and determine if the impulse comes from the inner self and reflects a true desire for growth and change.
Venus (love, relationships) in Gemini squares Neptune (illusion, mysticism), which can heighten our ability to see beauty in life, increase our appreciation of the moment, and feel more on an intuitive level. Beauty is part of the soul; it leads us into appreciation of the union of the physical and spiritual worlds.
Mars trines the Sun, giving a strong impetus to slice through problems and create change. Mars (masculine, action) in Capricorn squares Uranus (change, awakening), which can cause impulsive action. It’s important to choose actions that create inner growth (in the long run) and to pause and reconsider acting on strong emotions and/or irritation.
The shifts in energy will become more pronounced when the New Moon appears next week. It’s part of the motion into bringing our New Age thoughts into physical form. This process always requires observation, renovation, and a more intimate relationship with the inner self. It requires use of imagination to visualize desired changes in the world, and it necessitates relying on faith to develop new strengths to take inspired action.
