My Summer Reading List

oldbooks

I love to read, but I like happy endings. I also like books that lead me into greater spiritual truth and speak to my heart. On this note, I’m listing the best books of my summer reading. (Yes, I admit it. I loved my job as a librarian. It was quiet and lovely–and I could read as much as I liked. It’s still my favorite form of living vicariously.)

I intend to read more, but here are a few books from our expert summit speakers.

Easy, Breezy Miracle by Emmanuel Dagher

easybreezy

It’s a simple, easy to read book, which reminds us of the importance of focusing on what we want to create in life.  Emmanuel uses easy, effective exercises to realign with love and light. It’s the perfect purse/briefcase book for lifting the spirits.

AngelSpeake: How to Speak to Your Angels by Barbara Mark and Trudy Griswold

angelspeake

This is one of my favorite books. I’ve given it to many of my friends, and it helped me in pulling out of one of the darkest places in my life. Yes, you have to practice talking to your angels, but it works. It offers great detailed information on making the connection.

Cosmic Weather Report by Mark Borax and Ellias Lonsdale

cosmicweather

Inspired by a series of lectures by Ellias Lonsdale, Mark Borax puts the material in a marvelous form. It suggests that we are moving through our planetary darkness (karma) to find and connect with the light. It makes many of the happenings prior and post 2012 more comprehensible.

30 Days to Everyday Miracles by Jennifer Hoffman

30days

Jennifer wrote and distributed this book via email in 2009. I loved the emails–and the happy, spiritual flavor of the book. It’s always wonderful to think about miracles, and the book helps you to create them in on a daily basis.

Unplugging the Patriarchy by Lucia Rene

unplugging This amazing story chronicles the changes an individual can make on the etheric or unseen level to alter the world. In this story, Lucia works to change the male hierarchy on the planet. It’s a fascinating read but does have some advanced concepts.

Inner Speak Cards by Jean Adrienne

innerspeakcards

No, it’s not a book, but they are fun and helpful. They give insights with karmic problems, mini-clearing techniques, and a blessing.

Other Books:

The Last Shaman by William Whitecloud

It’s a spiritual adventure, and it’s profound. (I was torn between rushing through it and taking a break to think about the lessons.)

The Afterlife of Billy Fingers by Annie Kagan

It’s a true story about the author’s brother. Kagan shares how he communicated spiritual concepts with her after his death. It gives a beautiful insights about the “after world.” It’s slightly sad in a few places, but uplifting and fascinating overall.

The Life Everlasting by Marie Corelli

It’s one of my favorite romance novels, and it combines spirituality, courage, and love. You’ll have to buy this one from a used book seller like Alibris.com, but it’s worth it. I’ve read it at least five times.

Healing Mantras by Thomas Ashley-Farrand

The book introduces many mantras, explains their meaning, and gives real life examples. It’s good, sensitive writing.

Timeline by Michael Crichton

It’s an old one, but I’m fascinated by time travel–particularly Medieval Times. It’s not particularly spiritual, but I like the adventure.

I always read: Neville, Florence Scovel Shinn and Catherine Ponder. The principles are deep. The books are easy to read and involve shifting your consciousness.

Julia Griffin, Intutiive Healer and Coach

Julia Griffin, intuitive healer and owner of One True Self, began her work fifteen years ago under the tutelage of real wolves. The wolves taught her that true energetic motion is based on the soul and patterns of nature. Following their direction, Julia sees and reads energy, including animals, plants and people. She works with people in session to find their resonance with the soul, clearing patterns and alignment with their inner path.
