My Story: Wolves and Manifestation

Julia Griffin, intuitive healer and counselor

When I began spending time with wolves on long afternoons beneath the spring sun, I found myself lingering on images of happiness, small desires like a beautiful garden, and funny little ideas about what I wanted in my life. It wasn’t long before I realized that I truly wanted these images of happiness in my life.

Around the time of my discovery, the wolves began lying around me in a huge circle. Twelve wolves would look soulfully into my eyes, and a feeling of power flowed into my body. As they watched me with their golden eyes, the small desires became living images with deep color, sharp lines that reflected the shape and details of the desire, and wonderful sensations accompanied the image of the desire.

In a few weeks, the images seemed real. The dream of my desires — when held by myself and the wolves — began to seem more real than aspects of my current life. Soon after this transformation, the dreams of my small desires appeared in physical form. It’s logical to think that the wolves might have ended the process after my small successes, but they wanted to go deeper into the hidden fabric of my consciousness.

There was a deep joy that accompanied my accomplishments, and I also felt pulled by the consciousness of the wolves. I wanted to understand more. I noticed that the wolves only worked with me on specific desires; they rejected images and ideas that they said were not connected to my soul. Over time, I learned that desires of the heart bring light, growth, and understanding, and they are amplified by love and light.

Spending time with wolves was magical. Wolves love to run, play, and splash in streams. They play games with pine cones and sticks like huge puppies who are fascinated by life. By playing with the wolves, my body naturally grew stronger.

During this time, we went more deeply into my hidden desires, and I learned it was not always easy to create. I faced the contradictions within myself –the push/pull of desires that have been hidden away because of past experiences and/or conflicts within personal consciousness. These desires – the ones, which led to the development of my inner self – required a greater expanse of consciousness and elicited the necessity of discovering truths about myself and life.

As I traveled more deeply into myself, I found that I could easily project imagery to others, and their small desires came true. It was a wonderful feeling, and, yet, I couldn’t share the process or tell anyone. (Who would believe me?) I also discovered how my small wishes for calls from friends, a change in schedule, or a beautiful day manifested almost effortlessly.

As the next two years passed, I became more intuitive. With the wolves’ help, I learned how to read animals through the support of the wolves. Intuitive feelings grew stronger as did my senses, and I “knew” more about life, myself, and other people.

I noticed how bird song, the motion of trees, and the clouds in the sky often changed when I moved into intuitive state. The sensations of feeling alive became intense when I meditated—and even more so when I focused on a desire.

In the next few years, I would learn how I blocked my desires through emotion, thoughts, and beliefs as well as the repetition of specific problems. I traveled through a series of studies to learn how move through them until I could achieve this for myself and others. The wolves helped me to create shortcuts, greater belief in myself and my own powers, and a way of connecting to the universe, which opened my heart to light and love.

This method of following the soul and the hearts’ desires leads to much change. I released many aspects of myself and altered the way that I saw life. (I also learned how to clear myself and others of the past and energetic problems.)

Part of the process is becoming a different person who is willing to find new truths and accept that we truly do create our lives.

Obviously, this is a very brief explanation. Here are a few notes below to help you in beginning your own practice of manifesting

  • See the opposite of your current situation. If you want a new job, see yourself with a wonderful job, surrounded by helpful people. See a big salary and the hours that you want to work. If you want a new love, focus on the joy, closeness, and beauty of another person. For prosperity, see money flowing into your life, and release the perpetual belief that there is not enough. (Problems and desires actually increase our ability to manifest if you use the opportunity.)
  • Commit to the process. Spend time every day with a ten-minute focus on the desire. Make it into a beautiful living image. Let the feeling flow through you. Recall the image whenever you experience the old feeling of “not” having your desire.
  • Work on your energy level. High energy and a high frequency are associated with manifestation. Where do you lose energy? How do you gain energy? Do you feel stronger and happier after a conversation with a friend or drained? Notice the same with exercise, work, and attitude.
  • Meditation helps. A connection with universe is part of the fuel of creating any desire. Intuition is definitely heightened from meditation, and it always points to the next step. (Right action comes from meditation.)
  • Notice contradictions. With big desires that take time, it’s normal to experience a part of the self who doesn’t fully embrace the dream. Observe this part of the self and send light to it. Observation stops the negative internal dialog.
  • Oscillation is normal. Oscillation is the way that our emotions and thoughts flow between the manifestation and our old life. (We may feel fear or anxiety when experiencing this state.) It’s helpful to focus on the heart chakra, which is the center of our being.
  • Awareness is crucial to create change. Notice thoughts, feelings, and changes in the body that indicate motion in the right or wrong direction.
  • Every desire requires a change in our perception of life. You may alter your schedule, throw away unneeded items, or change the way in which you live life. Find a person or teacher to help with clearing when needed. Don’t stay stuck!
  • Focus on courage when taking opportunities, moving in the direction of your dreams, or realizing that your life must change. It’s how you move into a desirable outcome. (Visualization eliminates many steps and opens the door to opportunity, but you must step through the door.)
  • After manifesting your desire, move more deeply into your inner work. Focus on another desire. It’s a part of an evolutionary cycle, which you will discover through repetition and persistence.

Beautiful New Moon

It’s easy to feel the shift through the sigh of the trees, the motion of the clouds, and the alterations in the weather. The planet is shifting and taking us along for the ride.

The New Moon appears on May 11 at 2:59 pm. With Sun, Moon, Uranus, and Pluto in earth signs, it makes for a fertile energy for fostering ideas, working with the soil, resting, or enjoying the beauty of nature. While it’s important to work with plans and keep life in order, this is a moon for a brief period of rest and reflection.

The Sun and Moon form beautiful shapes with Neptune (mysticism) and Pluto (underworld, transformation.) Sun (life, light) and Moon (emotion) sextile Neptune and trine Pluto. Aspects with Neptune heighten sensitivity, creativity, and receptiveness. Trines with Pluto increase personal magnetism and intensity. The aspects can help with changing our lives in a positive sense. (Positive aspects with Pluto tend to increase power and energy in general.)

When Uranian energies conjunct and align positively with the sun and moon–our personal yin and yang–we experience the impetus of spiritual energy coursing through our lives. Divine, inspired ideas are sometimes received, causing our lives to flow in a spiritual direction. (Uranus rules the quantum field where odd changes and thoughts lead to greater realization.)

Mercury (thought, communication) is placed in Gemini, radiating rapid thought and increased ability to communicate effectively. Mercury conjuncts (close to) Venus, aligning the higher mind with the heart. Mercury trines (harmonious) Saturn (limitation/structure/karma), and it’s positive with this placement, aiding in our ability to bring order to our thoughts and plans. Mercury conjuncts the North Node (collective goals and commitments), which can give clarity and unity to our collective quests in a positive sense.

Venus (love, romance) trine Pluto heightens love, romance, and sensuality. It intensifies our feelings and emotions about love, relationships, and prosperity. Desire is a part of every quest, and Venus in this position increases it by deepening emotions, aesthetics, and commitment to all types of relationships. Venus square Jupiter can increase the desire to have fun, relax, or forget about work, but the feeling isn’t conducive to growth. (It’s wise to push past it.)

Mars (action, assertiveness, male) in Cancer brings emotions into play, particularly when we contemplate action and moving through particular aspects of life. Our emotions may interfere with right action—unless we simply accept the need to take a step and make changes in the flow of life.

Jupiter (good fortune, expansion) is on the last degree of Aquarius. On May 13, Jupiter moves into the first degree of Pisces where it becomes exalted (the most beneficial position and sign for a planet). Jupiter in Pisces stirs the soul, uniting inner knowledge and expansion. It heralds a time of optimistic thought, new ideals, and positive feelings.

Saturn in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus refers to the divisive energies between Saturn (old world structure) and Uranus (the utopian dream). It points to the conflicts between liberal and conservative on political, economic, and social levels. The square involves the conflict between issues of technology and harmony on earth and the physical world.

Pluto is retrograde until October 6. It occurs every year, and the retrograde involves creating boundaries, releasing control issues, and reclaiming personal power. It’s also a good time to review goals.

Tips

  1. The New Moon brings peaceful energy through aspects with Neptune, which rules mysticism and encourages insights into our spiritual nature.
  2. Trines with Pluto increase power and energy, making it a good time to focus on long term goals and personal resources.
  3. Mercury in Gemini bring clarity to the mind and aids with thought and communication.
  4. Jupiter is moving into Pisces, which will bring a feeling of wellbeing.
  5. The New Moon provides a period of rest and reflection, which should be followed by action. Think and meditate about the wisest actions for making long term changes in life.

Creating Change through Visualization

1) Begin with a positive and courageous attitude. It doesn’t matter if you tried and failed in the past. Your perseverance coupled with practice will change your life. In time, you’ll recognize patterns of lower emotion and thought. You’ll transcend them with positive imagery and thought. The beliefs will alter with practice. (It’s good to know this is a particularly good time for creative change. The planets and New Year support it. Many people are awakening and changing at this time, and their energy lends support with your efforts.)

2) When you have a wonderful day and/or a successful practice, compliment yourself. Notice your good work. Notice how you feel. In time, this will help you to discern when you are/are not connected. This teaches volumes about connection with your heart. Build yourself up for making the effort. (If you miss one day, compliment yourself for the previous six days of practice.)

3) Whether or not you feel connected in meditation, believe it is working. Every time you practice meditation, you are literally collecting energy and light. The energy builds over time. Trust in the effort. An opportunity for change will come if you stay with the practice.) Believe the universe is working with you.

4) Everyone has created a big, positive change—at least once. Travel through your memories and choose one of these times to revisit. Relive the memory and feel the burst of resolve and courage, which resulted in accomplishment. You can use this energy again (simply by remembering it.)

5) Do work with your intuitions. Intuitions can be grouped into areas–true and false. Keep a list. Refrain from acting on the “false” intuitions, and act more on the “true” list. (It’s important to know you will receive new intuitions and dreams whenever you reach a higher energy level. It takes time to discern true from false—and the same is true with dreams.)

6) Spend time with people on a higher energy level. Find friends who encourage you and believe in you. When others see the good in you, you feel and believe it. (You don’t discuss your manifestation, but you do enjoy the friendship.)

7) Raise your vibrations by listening to lectures or meditations by teachers on a higher level and/or reading spiritual works. It’s good to read a few spiritual words before bed and visualize awakening in a rested state. (If you experienced a turbulent day, you can actually see everything as better in 48 hours. It usually works.)

If you truly practice visualization, you’ll learn how to project positive energy. You’ll learn to change your inner visuals of negativity to the positive, and you can do it for others. More importantly, you’ll find the sensation of your inner self, which always sees life in a very different and more perfect way.

Messages from the Wolves

The wolves speak clearly when the moon is full, and they come to commune with us during this time.

Courage is necessary in a time of change. In the deep past, we lived through flood, fire, ice, and earth changes. We lived through the domestication of the earth and the cutting of forests, the polluting of water, and the change of mankind. Nevertheless, we persisted as you will.

There are many methods of moving through change. The first method comes with the focus of courage, the power of intent, and the strength of being. It begins with focus and the inner knowing that you are powerful enough to create the life you want.

Creating the life that you want can take time, but it also takes persistence and belief in the motion of the universe. The universe responds to persistence, the energies of nature, and the light in your heart. You probably have all of these qualities if you are reading this; however, you may have forgotten how to find them.

We have not forgotten, and we remind that you are much stronger and more powerful than you recall. Part of the trick is opening the mind to new ideas and thoughts, opening the heart to hear the universe, and allowing all of life to flow through you.

Fear closes these doors, thus limiting your perception and opening your mind to negative thoughts, which will only manifest if you focus on them. But LOVE opens the door—love for nature, love for yourself, and love for this great opportunity to live and to create.

We remember you when you were like gods—capable of creation, open to creating change, and loving every magical moment of your existence. We recommend your return to this place of being.

In the meanwhile, we will talk about intent. Intent is like a door to an open world that responds when your thoughts and heart are true. Intent is a door that requires belief in the (true) self, and it is not for the weak of heart. It is important to intend change with all of your heart.

Exercise

During our times of difficulty, we asked to see a path through the travails, and we followed that direction. You can find it, too, by projecting your direction like a line of white line. See the white line of light in your near future. Imagine following it day by day.

Each time, you lose your way, ask to see the line of white light that connects to you. Take a step (whatever it is) and follow it by believing in it. The line of white light will keep you in alignment with the path of the universe, it protects and enlightens you, and it helps you find your way.

This is how you step into your destiny and find your gifts. See yourself as person who is willing to open to a new you, a new way of seeing life. Beneath the chaos, new gifts and magic lie waiting.

You could imagine walking on the white line of spirit energy, and you pick up a magic stone or crystal or flower. The magical gifts open your powers, bringing new magic into your life. Walking this path requires courage. It means staying on the straight line, which holds the center of life, without faltering or doubting, and constantly making small improvements to become who you truly are.

You must move into the consciousness that is truly what you want to do. You are not affected by the outer world, but you listen and follow your inner self. There is nothing that is more correct than this. You must also trust that it is the right path—and allow your intuition to lead you. There is no turning back. You must either embrace the chaos or the inner self. The path is splitting quickly, and you must make a choice. Do you create light or lean on others?

It is not easy to become magical because your world in the past centuries has not allowed it. Also, the planet has been dense, but it is changing. There is resistance that you must push against, and it may seem that it will not work. However, it will work when you begin to gain the inner world, the world of magical creation—for it gives great alignment with the forces of nature and the flow of the world—as well as waves of light.

It takes tremendous focus. All during the day, you must return to the way of finding the path, the line of light, and listen to the heart that speaks the truth. But the time is coming when it will be easy for those who follow it NOW.

In your heart, you know this is what you want. The gifts of the work are what all seekers long for on the spiritual path. They include, courage, love, determination, and focus. It is the only true way of surmounting the mountain.

Desires, which come with manifestation, must be about the heart, helping others, developing your inner self in the physical world, and learning to overcome old perceptions that are not real. Old perceptions are mistakes in the energy field—a way of doing things and feeling inside that is not true. A true desire pushes consciousness past this place into a realm where opportunities and strength appear. Wherever you are lost or waylaid, it relates to living life in a way that no longer aligns with you.

True manifestation aligns you with universal law, love, and light. This placement of alignment allows the universe to flood you with its strength.

Dream big dreams. Play in the woods, and watch the sun rise. Listen to the birds and meditate on the beauty of your heart and desires.

We continue to sing our songs at night that remind you of your soul and quest. We will sing our night songs on the full moon and speak to your heart.

Full Corn Moon Forecast

The full Corn Moon appears on Wednesday, September 2. As the first leaves change color and grapes fall to the earth, it marks the turn of the world into the season of harvest. The forecast features a Virgo Sun and Pisces Moon, combining the mysticism of Pisces and the practicality of Virgo. In some ways, it’s perfect as many of us are feeling the call of the cosmos–the dreaminess of the universe speaking through our intuition and hearts. At the same time, we may yearn for positive expression in the physical world.

The problem with mysticism involves our interpretation through the ego, which is rarely obvious, and applying our insights in daily life. It’s one thing to understand how energy works a particular way –and an entirely different pursuit to remember to apply it on a regular basis. The first area of difficultly lies with misinterpretation; our ego has a way of wanting life to appear in a certain way—along with a willingness to misread it. Our hearts read life in a way that is crystal clear; it’s believing and acting, which construe the challenge. The combination of Virgo Sun/Pisces moon may give the opportunity to become more discerning and move more deeply into the true self.

Sun (life) trines (harmonious) Jupiter (expansion) and Uranus (sudden change, quantum field). Sun trine Jupiter denotes a sense of optimism and expansion. Sun trine Uranus expands mental and spiritual abilities such as original ideas, breakthrough thoughts and realizations, and a desire to express individuality.

Moon (emotion) in Pisces connects our consciousness to the unseen world; t opens the veil between worlds, increasing intuition. Moon conjunct (close to) Neptune (mysticism, illusion) gives greater reception to the mystical through prayer, visualization, and contemplation. It’s how we hear God, the universe, and angels. It’s the feeling received after prayer when we feel the lift after asking for help on a spiritual level.

Mercury (communication) in Virgo trines (harmonious) Jupiter (expansion), Saturn (limitation), and Pluto (underworld). The three trines create the possibility of positive communication, strong structure, and the ability to solve mysteries and find answers (Pluto). (Virgo is an earth sign ruled by Mercury, which aids in communication.)

Venus (love, relationships) is placed in Cancer, a water sign. Venus opposes Jupiter (expansion), Saturn (limitation) and Pluto (underworld, transformation). It’s likely that we may feel other people are acting out of sync with our loving nature. Venus squares (tension) Mars (energy, assertion). However, Venus is conjunct (close to) Neptune (mysticism, illusion), offering a way to move into higher love and align with beauty to overcome the more dissonant energies.

Mars (energy, male) remains in Aries, a fire sign, which pushes us into action. (Mars will move into retrograde in mid-September, and it can make life feel frustrating. Use this time to work on calm emotions.) Mars squares Saturn (limitation, karma) and Pluto (collective energies, transformation), and we may feel that it takes a big push on our part to take the next step or pursue the right action.

Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) is direct. When Jupiter in Capricorn moves out of retrograde, it expands our drive to succeed and move in the direction of our goals. It’s also supportive on the path of light. (The caution involves realism in relationship to our goals, practicality, and wise, balanced use of money and growth.) Jupiter trines Uranus (quantum field, sudden change) gives insights when combining the new and old aspects of life.

The conjunctions, associated with COVID and changes in the outer world, involve Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto. They will continue throughout the year.

Notes:

  1. The chart helps in experiencing the mystical side of the self in physical reality. We receive energy for orderliness and clear thought of Virgo as well as the spiritual insights of Pisces. Sun trines Jupiter (good fortune) and Uranus (sudden change, quantum change), which helps with optimism and receiving new thoughts and answers.
  2. Sun (life) and Mercury (communications) oppose Neptune (mysticism/illusion). With this aspect, it’s important to check intuitions twice before taking action because our communication from the unseen world is not always clear.
  3. The power of writing, speaking and communicating is heightened through Mercury’s trines with Jupiter (expansion), Saturn (limitation), and Pluto (underworld, transformation).
  4. We may feel out of sync with our loved ones as Venus opposes Jupiter (expansion), Saturn (limitation), and Pluto (underworld, transformation) It’s wise to focus on universal, unconditional—and know the aspects are like a passing storm.
  5. Squares with Mars (energy, male) may make life feel frustrating—or push us into action in the achievement of individual goals.

Sabian Symbols, based on the work of Lynda Hill

Sun is on Virgo 11, “A Boy Molded in His Mother’s Aspirations for Him”.  Direction and shaping in childhood can act as a two edged-sword. Our character can be altered through discipline, experience, and perseverance, which can enhance and/or detract on the spiritual path. Sometimes, personal potential is enhanced by parents and authority figures. It can also bring confusion about who we truly are. Virgo rules mental discernment, and the oracle asks that we review our memories and find the truth of our childhood for ourselves.

Moon is placed on Pisces 11, “Men Traveling A Narrow Path, Seeking Illumination.” The symbol generates an image of the spiritual path, which is wide in the beginning of the journey but narrows near the top. In this chart, Moon (emotions) conjuncts Neptune (mysticism, illusion), indicating vision and direction for those who seek a higher path.

Mercury sits on Virgo 25, “A Flag at Half-Mast in Front of a Public Building”. The imagery refers to the expression of grief and loss for accomplishment and achievement for someone or a cause. Positive appraisal and loss are expressed as a public gesture.

Venus is on Cancer 26, “Guests Are Reading in the Library of a Luxurious Home”. Venus represents love, beauty, and resources. Perhaps, the symbol asks us to take time for self-care, quiet, and relaxation, which is an expression of self-love.

Mars sits on Aries 28, “A Large Disappointed Audience”. Mars is overall energy and assertion, and the large, disappointed audience may refer to the feelings of group consciousness, particularly in response to this particular time. (We may have planned a beautiful year, but everyone feels slightly frustrated with the current circumstances.)

Jupiter is on Capricorn 18, “A General Accepting Defeat Gracefully.” It’s an interesting symbol for Jupiter, which represents expansion and good fortune. However, acceptance of outcomes in life can open our consciousness to new possibilities as well as creating character.(Perhaps, it refers to the energy of this year, which is very different from our expectations.)

Manifestation: One of the Keys of Awakening

Manifestation is part of awakening. We become aware of how we create our lives as we grow in consciousness. (Everyone is already manifesting, but it’s mainly unconscious.) If we imagine a loop of tape playing and replaying, we might wonder why it continues to play, or we might decide to change the tape. That’s the basic substance of manifestation.

When we realize that we have the power to change the tape, then we alter the direction of our lives. If this realization comes with awakening (and a higher level of vibrations), we know it’s important to create a life in alignment with the inner self. As we expand into light and love, we naturally want to create and experience more “good” in life. Ultimately, it’s beneficial to ourselves and the people around us because everyone benefits from a higher frequency.

Here are a few tips:

  1. Meditation is one of the keys to the realization of the heart’s desire. It brings alignment with the inner self, which quietens thoughts and stills emotions. It also gives connection to the universe, the biggest source of love and light.
  2.  Manifestation alters our perception. It teaches focus on the positive sensations and images of what we want to create. When we focus on the good in life and see the positive, we move into higher vibrations where more possibility and opportunity exist. By focusing the mind, we learn to alter our perceptions.
  3. Many of our perceptions are based on experience and belief, which occur as part of our encounters with life. It doesn’t mean that life always responds in this way, or the outcome never changes. It simply implies that we need to see and feel life differently–and believe that we can change it in a positive sense.
  4. Working with manifestation teaches discernment. Over time, we learn the value of “things” lies in their resonance with our heart. If our desire doesn’t align with the heart or our inner self, it won’t bring joy. But repeated experiences teach the difference between the desires of the inner and outer being.
  5. Focusing on a positive vision teaches control of lower emotions and thoughts. Part of any manifestation lies in the substitution of one thought and image for another. (We can’t change and/or control everything, but we can influence a great deal. Also, we can change our emotions and thoughts.)
  6. The practice teaches a great deal about inner power as well as the changes that occur when we connect with the universe and the inner self. We can use the same practice to alter other people’s lives–and the world. (Everyone and everything is happier in a higher frequency.)
  7. The heart space expands when we step into creating the vision of the inner self. We feel more love and peace. And the world becomes more beautiful.

Full Pink Moon

The April Full moon is called “pink” as a reference to flowers and spring.  It’s a challenging moon, but it also brings energies and aspects, which are helpful. The chart focuses on rebirth and transformation, making fit perfectly with the season’s theme of resurrection. The Full Moon appears on April 19 on Good Friday, the miraculous day in the garden when almost every seed planted will sprout. In nature, it’s a very powerful time.

Sun (life) is in Aries, encouraging motion and direction in our lives. Moon (mother, emotions) is placed in Libra, the air sign aligned with balance and beauty.  Ruled by Venus, gardeners know seeds cast on a Libra moon grow the most beautiful flowers of any sign.

The difficulty–and opportunity–come from the conjunction (closely placed) between Saturn (limitation), Pluto (underworld, transformation), and South Node (past patterns, personal karma). Pluto’s tendency is to reveal truth from the past, usually whatever we’d prefer not to know. Saturn teaches us about our limitations and how to create new habits to move through it. South Node represents a place in consciousness where we continue to repeat the same rituals, but they don’t work.

For those on a spiritual path, the aspects with Saturn, Pluto, and South Node can offer a time of cleansing and creating freedom with the inner self. These planets operate by showing our limitations and (eventually) opening the door to the freedom that comes from living in alliance with the soul.  (Empaths, light workers, and intuitive beings often experience rejection from family and society at large, which leads to disassociation with spiritual gifts. Often, years are required to work through limitations that were initiated during childhood—causing abilities to lie dormant and hidden. By embracing the rejected parts of the self, we create true transformation within ourselves. When we integrate “lost” or undeveloped aspects of the true self, we radiate light and use our magic correctly to bring about a state of love in ourselves—and the world. This type of transformation occurs by digging through the clutter of the subconscious (Pluto) to find the truth that sets us free. Finding truth and living truth are different, but devotion (Saturn at its best) teaches development of gifts. Redeeming the lost parts of the self gives freedom and courage for breaking free of old patterns and beliefs. But we have to discover what is hidden beneath the surface to do this.Wherever we have problems in life, they are somehow related to karmic circumstances, past events, and the feelings we have about ourselves. Limitations and resistance relate to personal patterns of seeing the world in a specific way. When we release old belief, we become capable of perceiving a larger, happier view of life.

Sun (life) conjuncts (close to) Uranus in Aries (sudden change, quantum field); this aspect can heighten integrity and higher self-awareness of personal uniqueness and Moon (emotions, mother) is opposite Uranus.  The Moon’s aspect with Uranus can incite a flurry of conflicting emotions that change with various stimuli and encounters with those we love. One of the lessons of metaphysics is that emotions – like thoughts – are not always real—unless they come from the heart. It’s important to test and see if they align with the heart or circumstances because Uranus can make them feel very real.

Mercury (communication, thought) is in Aries, a fire sign. This placement quickens thought and intellect, and it hastens action. It can elicit enthusiasm about new ideas and quick decisions. It likes anything new including ideas, projects, and leadership roles.

Venus

Venus (beauty, love) remains exalted in Pisces, and it exudes a spiritual connection with divine—a higher love that lifts us above daily events. It aids with mystical pursuits. Venus in Pisces deepens our ability to perceive beauty; it may also reveal spiritual truths through dreams and visions.

Mercury and Venus are conjunct (close), bringing harmony between the mind and heart. However, Mercury and Venus square (tension) Jupiter (good fortune), which asks us to go beyond the mind and emotions to perceive subtleties of the inner self. (Jupiter can symbolize our spiritual path, but a more gestalt approach is needed with this particular chart.)

Mars (action, male) is placed in Gemini, an air sign. Mars like to act, and Gemini likes to think. In other words, it’s difficult to take action, and it’s easy to overthink and hesitate. Action is easily confused with a series of thoughts, which tend to move in circles. It’s not decisive. Mars squares (tension) Neptune (mysticism, illusion), increasing the difficulty of finding the right action. (If it’s a desire, nourished by the heart, act. If it’s practical, act. If not, wait and see.)

Jupiter (good fortune) is retrograde in Sagittarius. In retrograde, Jupiter helps with understanding the spiritual path by revealing our alignment (or lack of alignment) with the spiritual path. If we listen, it’s possible to develop our intuitive abilities to find our way, and shed light to aid in altering beliefs and habits. Jupiter trines Uranus (quantum field, sudden change) can increase our exuberance and joy about life while encouraging us to embrace new, innovative ideas. In this chart, Jupiter trines the Sun, shining light on our lives and lending encouragement as we step through obstacles.

Saturn in Capricorn keeps continual focus on the financial aspects of the world. It’s possible to visualize and share solutions for creating wealth through practical, environmentally sound ideas. (I like to see light workers with more income because they are conscious consumers, and industry tends to follow consumerism.) Saturn conjuncts Pluto (underworld, transformation), which brings old patterns and lack of understanding (about karma) to the surface. Saturn is opposite North Node (spiritual direction of the world). It asks for reflection on limitations and the possibility of positive world change.

Uranus (quantum field, sudden change) is in Aries, the beginning of a new spiritual cycle in the Age of Aquarius. Sun and Moon have aspects with Uranus, which can cause rapidly changing emotions and ideas. Uranus remains square (tension) Pluto, revealing information for spiritual growth—although not always in an easy, comfortable manner.

Neptune in Pisces can bestow connection with the mystical world. Neptune can also feel confusing when it’s square Mars (action) and Jupiter (good fortune). We may feel confused about the best action to take—and/or when and where. As always, the answer lies within, but it requires depth and reflection at this particular time.

Pluto is the god of the underworld, holding subconscious knowledge in its cavern. Periodically, the heavens connect us with these messages, which can feel confusing and dark. It’s like receiving an infusion of truth clothed in dirty rags. (We don’t particularly want it, but there’s gold hidden beneath the disguise.) If we look and listen, Pluto tells us why we feel reluctant, shy, and/or can’t move forward. It shows us – through memories and events – why we’re stuck. If we take back our power, we reclaim a remnant of our soul and take a step into becoming more whole. Pluto can act as the transforming power behind the resurrection of self—a perfect analogy for Easter weekend.

Sabian Symbols based on Lynda Hill’s work

Sun is on Aries 30, “A Duck Pond and Its Brood.” A duck pond symbolizes a small, safe place, which is pleasant, and meets the needs of a small group. It speaks of the limiting factors of life—and the beauty of a small life. It can refer to the desire for expansion into a larger pond or the need to nourish and find sustaining resources in a limited life.

Moon is placed in Libra 30, “Three Mounds of Knowledge on a Philosopher’s Head”. It speaks of phrenology, the study of the shape of head. The symbol encourages observing and heeding the messages of the physical body. It also refers to seeing the spiritual form of the physical. (Alchemy teaches that all of its secrets are demonstrated by the natural world.)

Mercury is found on Aries 3, “A Cameo Shows the Profile of a Man that Suggests the Outline of His Country.” The symbol focuses on the power of observation, which comes intuitively by reading energy as opposed to information. As this inner tool is applied, it becomes to understand how people, places, and events fit into the large picture of the “whole”.

Venus sits on Pisces 29, “Light Breaking into Many Colors as It Passes Through a Prism”. It’s an exquisite symbol, speaking of how the One Light diffuses into many colors and forms.  It tells us to think of one large light, which is the inner self, and contemplate how the many colors of the self can relate to the whole. (Of course, this can refer to the world, too.)

Mars is placed on Gemini 13, “A World-Famous Pianist Giving A Concert Performance”. With Mars placed on this degree, it’s time to bring our talents to the forefront—particularly if we’ve practiced and mastered a gift, talent, or art. The best performances occur when we do what we love most.

Planetary Change and New Moon

The sky is calmer since the passage of the equinox, the end of Mercury retrograde last week, and the movement of planets into Aries, and other aspects.  However, life remains somewhat free-flowing—a time of reflection while spring awakens the beauty of the earth.

The dark phase of the moon brings the New Moon on April 5, and it remains a time of introspection. Think of seeds lying deep in the earth; it’s same with our aspirations for growth and change. At the same time, the day of the New Moon (and the three days following) are an excellent time for reviewing and renewing plans in the physical/spiritual world.

In month of April, three planets will move into retrograde position. Jupiter, planet of good fortune, will move backwards from April 10-August 11. As Jupiter rules discovery, abundance, and journeys, it’s a time to make corrections on our spiritual path by committing to aspects of life that support our growth. Pluto, planet of transformation and the underworld, is retrograde April 24-October 3. It tends to reveal hidden emotions and old, painful stories before lifting them into the surface of consciousness. It also allows us to rewrite our life stories (and beliefs) in a more victorious way. (Of course, we have to see the truth before we can rewrite into another form.) Saturn moves in retrograde on April 30-September 18. Much of Saturn’s influence is about finding devotion on the higher path and overcoming obstacles by following the light. This path also requires on many levels.

In many ways, the planets are our teachers. The moons (new and full) create a cycle of changing emotions and energies to demonstrate the realm of emotion/thought, which occur in response to various energies.

This New Moon asks for independence, boldness, and courage by moving into the new territory of our dreams. With Sun and Moon in Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, it’s important to make new beginnings, plan our lives in a new way, and feel the joy of creation. (Think of the lamb, the symbol of Aries, the appearance of the flowers, and the hope and loveliness that are found in the beginning phases of life.)

Sun (life) and Moon (emotions) in Aries tend to propel our energies in a forward direction. They trine (harmonious) Jupiter (good fortune, expansion), eliciting positive outcomes from positive interactions with steps taken in life to create a more positive life and flowing emotions. Sun and Moon square Saturn (limitation, karma), making it necessary to push determinedly through obstacles and old, worn-out perceptions about our lives. Sun and Moon square Pluto (underworld, transformation), making it necessary to find the truth about subconscious feelings and free them by recreating them into a higher form. (Fortunately, Sun and Moon are very creative in a fire sign.)

Mercury (communications) remains in Pisces, linking us into mystical communications and confusing us with the dual-vision of Pisces (two fish swimming in opposite directions.)  Mercury squares (tension) Jupiter (good fortune), which may help with discerning our higher and lower thoughts—and their benefit/lack of benefit. Mercury conjuncts (close to) Neptune in Pisces, amplifying the free-floating feeling, which we’ve experienced for weeks. (On the positive, it can heighten our intuition and mystical nature.)

Venus

Venus (love, partnerships) is beautifully placed in Pisces where it is exalted, offering an expression of mystical, idealistic love in the physical world. It can also help us to connect more deeply with divine forces, which serve us with our life purpose. (Venus, Mercury, and Neptune rise in this chart, offering a doorway into love and higher frequencies.) Venus squares (tension) Mars (male energy), which may make communication between the sexes more difficult than usual. But Venus also conjuncts (close to) Neptune, which can awaken dreams of the heart and nourish the spirit.

Mars (male, energy) is in Gemini, the sign of the twins. In this air sign, Mars lacks traction; it’s more difficult to move forward. We also experience some of the push me/pull me energy, which appeared last month with many signs of Pisces. (Think of a red light that turns green and not knowing if you turn right or left!) Fortunately, the energy of Sun/Moon in Aries can push us through life.

Jupiter (good fortune) in Sagittarius continues to ask for heightened interest in spirituality, study, and inner development. Jupiter trines Uranus (quantum field, sudden change), increasing our ability to harmoniously combine the old and new world. Jupiter squares (tension) Neptune (mysticism, idealism), creating the need for discernment between the lovely, flowing feeling of connection and creating a path (life) that serves us. Jupiter also squares (tension) Chiron, the wounded healer, which may heighten awareness of old wounds and karma.

Uranus (sudden change, quantum field) continues to square (tension) Pluto (underworld, transformation), dredging the dark material of the River Styx into the light for transformation into something beautiful and new. Neptune sextiles (harmonious) Pluto, offering unconditional as part of the process of transformation, the beautiful and challenging way of life in a New World.
