Listening to the Earth

As a child, I learned the patterns of clouds, seasons, the motion of the moon, and meaning of dew on the grass. Nature spoke in an immutable language of signs, which never changed—and spoke of the future in a thousand ways. But the earth is changing, and the signs no longer hold their former wealth of information.

The sun and moon rise in different locations. There are unseasonable patterns. Fall comes early, perennial plants bloom in fall rather than spring, and storms and fires fill the continent. Globally, we’re experiencing solar flares, rising oceans, and a fluctuating magnetic field. The planet is taking on the matrix of a new pattern.

The wolf population is growing throughout the United States. (When I first met the wolves, their numbers were smaller. They said the resurgence of their population was associated with a positive change as well as the turning of the planet and stars.) The four-leggeds and the creatures of the ocean also send waves of songs to support us.

In alchemical writings, there are notes indicating the elementals (the creatures ruling the kingdoms of fire, air, water, and earth) respond to the moods and thoughts of awakening human beings. As we awaken our energy level soars, and the acceleration of consciousness amplifies any imbalance in the emotional, mental, or physical realm of humans. As our energy increases and expands, nature acts as a balancing force by releasing emotion through storms and flames.

With many people awakening at this particular time, the planet’s reaction is not surprising. Earth is likely reflecting the oscillation of emotions and thoughts of many people at one time. As we increase our consciousness and light, our feelings and emotions often become more intense.

I’m sharing my thoughts below, which are simply based on observation.

  1. Storms and rain can reflect our inner condition; they can also clear our inner and outer condition. (Think of the garden in mid-summer after a wonderful rain.) From my experience, it is possible to calm a storm or experience it in a less intense manner.
  2. Fire purifies and changes a landscape. With the many fires in the United States, it could be helpful to imagine the landscape after days of rain–or to see new life in the place of the flames. (Note: it’s more helpful to see and imagine rain than to wish for it.)
  3. Some of our weather may be manufactured by others. We could imagine gentle, balanced weather–or devices that don’t work.
  4. We hasten the seasons and the feeling of an accelerated year by sending children to school in early August. Advertisements such as Halloween in August make time seem to move more quickly. When we buy and prepare months ahead, we actually visualize cooler weather and other events such as Christmas and snow! It’s always a wonderful time to slow and become present.
  5. Mass beliefs such as associating harsh winter with global warming increase the likelihood of the experience. If many people believe this, we’ll certainly experience it. Obviously, it’s also possible to visualize and create a milder winter. On another topic, pollution obviously exists, and we have to see this truth. But we can also imagine a planet without pollution, including clear skies, clean water, and solutions for current problems.

If Nature is reflecting our beliefs, thoughts, and emotions, there is a possibility of creating a better reality. As far as I know, few people, with the exception of indigenous people, experiment with this. Please share your thoughts and insights.

Making Manifestation Work for You!

Manifestation is one of the most incredible tools for creating harmony and happiness. The visualization of the heart’s desire activates a special part of a consciousness, which encourages a positive flow of life. (In general, intuition grows, positive feedback from others ensues, and small miracles occur on the journey to the realization of a“wish”.)

It’s a mystery, but manifestation enlarges the “creator” part of human consciousness, which doesn’t occur during meditation. (Meditation bestows connection with the inner self and the universe at large, but it doesn’t engage the creative process with the inner self.)  “Creation” through visualization and small, physical steps may be part of our next evolutionary step. After all, it is important to listen to our heart and follow its path by creating in the inner/outer world.

  1. Creating a happy, positive reality is part of soul work. It actually aligns you with the universe, awakening hidden abilities and revealing unusual and/or unexpected answers. Generally, it reveals a non-logical but fulfilling path.
  2. Positive manifestation is how you connect to higher consciousness including light, love, and higher realizations. It’s also a way of letting go of who you are not and learning to love who you truly are. (Everyone is already manifesting. A conscious practice is about creating what you want.)
  3. With every manifestation, there is a block or resistance within the self. Let’s call it a mistake in perception, which is corrected by inner work. (It’s obvious how other people block themselves; the challenge lies with seeing the self.) Yes, there is a part of you that blocks the manifestation. (Everyone blocks goodness, abundance, and love. It’s part of what manifestation sets free.)
  4. Manifestation can occur in a few seconds or a few years. It has to do with your evolutionary path, practice, persistence, and other factors such as the people in your life, etc. (On this topic, no one ever regrets the work when the manifestation occurs.) Higher vibrations and positive emotions/thoughts encourage it.
  5. Often, intuition develops sharply as a result of manifestation work. Your gifts may become apparent, and new people often come into your life as a result of inner growth. It’s important to continue your work at this point. (These positive results are known as “rainbows” on the path. They are an indication of positive inner work, but your job is remaining devoted to the next step on the path.)

NOTE:  As you master manifestation, it becomes easy to repeat the steps for yourself, others, and the world. It may be part of how you and the world become conscious together. (Think of 1,000 people with accurate manifestation skills who can see and create wonderful outcomes for the world.)

Tips  on Visualization

  1. Visualization is the first step for manifestation. Make a laser sharp image and focus all of your consciousness on it for 10-15 minutes daily. Imagine living in the image by seeing it as a particular time of day, and you’re “living” in the image for 10 minutes or so.. Notice who accompanies you in the imagery and the passage of events in your life. Accompany the imagery with a positive, happy feeling.
  2. Substitute your imagery for lower feelings. For example, if you’re meditating on money, but bills come in the mail, return the image and make it “real”. It can take many repetitions because your negative feelings and experience may seem more real in the beginning.
  3. It can take a few weeks to master the feeling of the manifestation. For example, if you’re visualizing success, it’s working when you feel more confident. If you’re looking for a better body image, it’s creating a change when you feel better about how you look. (Physical changes follow inner projections, but they often begin with emotional and/or mental shifts.)
  4. You should become more aware of the inner self through your manifestation work. You may hear your inner voice or become more aware of when you’re connected or disconnected. You may also notice that life flows in a specific way with a mood change or a difference in your flow of energy.
  5. You will wonder if it’s working—or when it will work. It’s helpful to tell yourself that it will occur when you’re aligned. (It is happening, but it takes time for energy to translate from the invisible to the visible world.)  From this perspective, try to create positive, small changes in your daily routine and ask how you can become more flexible, compassionate, and loving. (The universe loves this.)

New Moon Forecast

The New Moon marks the time of the void when it’s wise to rest and contemplate life for a day or two while we think about our dreams and plans. (Absolutely, nothing grows in the garden on the new moon; it takes time for the energy to rise.) The New Moon energy is a time of deep stillness before the life force flows into form as the moon waxes.

The New Moon appears at 11:01 am on Wednesday, November 7. This chart speaks to our inner self and encourages pursuit of the spiritual quest. However, there are many confusing aspects that slow action, perception, and progress. Sun and Moon (life, feelings, and emotions) push us in the direction of our dreams, but they square Mars (male, action), which confuses and slows action. Venus remains retrograde, and Mercury is already in the shadow of its next retrograde, which occurs on the day of Venus moving direct. Venus also squares the North and South Nodes.

Sun and Moon in Scorpio form a beautiful trine with Neptune (mysticism/illusion), which heightens our ability to feel and perceive our spiritual direction. It increases our sensitivity to beauty and intensifies our night dreams. This aspect heightens intuition, helps with the flow of emotions, and makes it easier to see behind the “veil”. It also makes it easier to hear to our inner voice, which is needed to travel successfully through the next week or so.  (If we use the energy, it’s helpful with art and creative endeavors.) Obviously, it softens the square with Mars.

Mercury (communications) is moving into expansive Sagittarius, a fire sign, before moving into retrograde on November 16. The current placement helps with spiritual pursuits and attaining higher knowledge. It can aid with focus with our higher dreams. Mercury conjuncts Jupiter (expansion, good fortune), and acts as an indication that right thoughts can lead us forward. But Mercury squares Neptune (illusion, mysticism), confusing our ability to discern illusion from truth.

Venus (feminine, beauty) sits in Libra, an air sign ruling balance and harmony. Venus is softer and gentle in this position, but it can bring difficulty with expressing our personal truth, which has been a challenge with the continuing retrograde. (It makes difficult for people that we love to hear us during Venus retrograde, and communication can feel confusing. We also continue to review how we want to feel and receive love for another week until Venus moves direct.)

Venus trines (harmonious) Mars (male, action), which eases the relationship between male/female and yin/yang. Venus opposes Uranus, causing friction between love (in some form) and erratic action. (Uranus can also represent awakening so it’s possible to see a bigger view of life.) Venus squares (tension) Pluto, which often represents obsession, power, or strong desires, and this brings a bigger lesson to light. It’s important to train our minds to release control, and let the universe teach us to grasp the beauty of surrender and the blessings that can follow.

Venus squares the nodes of the Moon. The North Node, representing our spiritual direction, is in Cancer, a water sign ruling nurturing, devotion, and sensitivity. Venus symbolizes love, and a square places pressure. We’re asked to become more compassionate and caring to create happiness and security in life. (In some way, we have obstacles between our definition of love and caring without controlling.) South Node speaks of habits and rituals used in the past, which are no longer as useful. It’s placed in Capricorn, an earth sign, which is about practicality and our place in the world.

Mars (action, male) squares Jupiter (expansion, good fortune), and this creates tension between our desire to take action and the benevolent expression of Jupiter, which expands the good around our endeavors. (Sun/Moon square Mars frustrates our desire and plans for action.) Our positive actions always count – even when we can’t see it – and it’s important to continue taking small steps for another time in the not too distant future when Jupiter will bless our efforts.

Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) will move into Sagittarius on November 9, which helps with our spiritual quest, accelerating our ability to focus on the path. Spiritual studies, freedom with communications, and creating ease with travel. On the other side, Jupiter in Sagittarius expands the object in the lens of the mind, which can create greater tension with divisive groups or bring unity. (It’s dependent on the focus of our minds and hearts.)

Saturn (karma, time) trines (harmonious) Uranus, which represents the New Age, innovative inventions, and methods of thinking in an original way. (Using our imagination is one of the best ways of harnessing this energy.)

Uranus, the planet of change and awakening, moves back to the past with a reentry to Aries, a fire sign. Uranus is volatile in fire, with focus on the self. We’ll probably feel the wacky energy of the past seven years with the (brief return) of this cycle.

Neptune (mysticism, illusion) flows in waves of spiritual love with this aspect. It helps in transcending the limitations of the physical world through increased emotional connection in deep or loving relationships.

Chiron, the wounded healer, moved back into Pisces, bringing back the wounds and karma of the Piscean Age. It’s another opportunity to move beyond old stories, patterns, and habits before moving into another year. Mercury (communications) and Jupiter (good fortune) trine Chiron, and this helps in making positive mental realizations about the past – and our involvement with it. Saturn (limitation) squares Chiron, meaning we may only see the blocks but not move through them (yet).

Tips:

  1. Finding, following, and listening to our inner self is the test of this chart. There are many energies, which move in numerous directions, and we simply want to move in the direction of the light. (Sun/Moon trine Neptune helps with this.)
  2. Communications are not clear. Mercury (communications, messages) squares Neptune (mysticism/illusion), making it difficult to read and interpret the information that we receive. (Listen with the heart.) Mercury moves retrograde next week.
  3. Venus is all over the place; it trines Mars (action), opposes Uranus (sudden change, awakening), and squares the Nodes (higher purpose and rituals depended upon on the past.) In other words, our thoughts and feelings about love will probably oscillate. On the positive, Venus moves direct in another week!
  4. Mars, the action planet, has squares with Sun/Moon and Jupiter. Try to remember that spiritual actions always count. Sometimes, we have to wait for the right “weather” or pass through the test of time, but they count.
  5. Jupiter will soon move into Sagittarius, which should lighten life a bit – at least.

Sabian Symbols, based on Lynda Hill’s work

Sun and Moon are on Scorpio 16, “A Girl’s Face Breaking into a Smile.” The image denotes joy, which can come from pleasant and familiar aspects of life, an unexpected surprise and/or love. A girl smiling indicates pleasure and conveys light. It’s particularly apt when considering Sun/Moon’s benevolent trine with Neptune (illusion, mysticism), which aids in aligning with universal wisdom and love.

Mercury is on Sagittarius 9, “A Mother Leads a Small Child Step by Step up the Stairs.” The image depicts a loving, maternal presence that supports and protects a child moving to a higher level in a building or home. Mercury can represent the higher or lower mind. The symbol could speak of the higher mind leading the more undeveloped parts of the self to higher level.

Venus is retrograde on Libra 27, An Airplane Flies High in the Bright Sky.” It’s possible to fly above our difficulties through a state of unconditional love. It’s also possible to evade the issues in our life by avoiding or sailing above them.

Mars sits on Aquarius 28, “A Garage Man Testing a Car Battery with a Hydrometer.” A hydrometer reads the level of fluids (emotion), and cars can represent how we travel through life. Batteries refer to the distribution of energy. Since this symbol refers to Mars, it indicates the necessity of looking at our movement through life, our emotions, and placement of energy to move to the next level or take the next step.

Jupiter is placed on Scorpio 30, “Children in Halloween Costumes Indulging in Pranks”. The symbol can refer to the happiness of children when we move through special times in the world as well as those who use these times for darkness and negativity.

Mastering the Waves of Change

When the whole world is changing, it’s helpful to remember how change can become the vehicle for your “right” destination.  Everyone desires change, but it’s easy to encounter resistance during the process. Almost everyone experiences stress (resistance) when listening to the soul because it means living life in an entirely, different way.

Here are a few tips:

  1. It’s a gift to watch the entire world change. Your inner vision of life is accepted and needed. A huge dispensation of light is filling the planet. (Who would want to miss it?) It’s also a opportunity to raise your frequency.
  2. This is a rare time. When you center in the heart, there is a palpable love vibration. You can feel higher collective consciousness. When you join with the higher vibration, there is incredible support. The veil between the physical and spiritual realms is thinner. It’s easier to have the support of angels and beings of light.
  3. It is challenging to experience the waves of change, particularly the waves of chaos and lower energies in the world at large. However, your positive changes help everyone and everything. Think of it as small steps to bring your best vision of the world into being.
  4. It’s “normal” to feel unstable when passing through the process of collecting more light in your life. It’s also wonderful to “hear’ your inner knowing answer questions, provide a calm state, and connect to the All. (It’s not always easy to know if you’re right or wrong, but you learn this over time.)
  5. It’s partially a lesson about manifestation. Everything is manifesting much more quickly, including our lower and higher thoughts and emotions. As consciousness grows, life manifests more rapidly. You also become more aware of other people–their moods, thoughts, and energy fields. As you learn to read this through the heart, you become more adept.
  6. Love is the key to mastering duality. It’s how you ride through the high and low feelings of oscillation. These swings of consciousness can be useful in learning to align with the heart space where unconditional love abides.
  7. Change is the path to the realization of the higher self and its manifestation. Every manifestation creates a “new” self, which is more aligned with the inner self. This means casting off the old self, who began the work on the manifestation. (The resistance is felt by the “old” or lower self, which is casting off old emotions, beliefs, and thoughts.) When the new self is born, it is a beautiful event.

Staying More Connected

  • Your inner power is found through meditation, contemplation, and seeing life from a different perspective. It begins with the desire to connect deeply with the universe. Practicing daily and developing consistency are the first steps. Seeking the “feeling” of receiving insight also helps.
  • Peace is within you. It’s important to find the “emotion” within you. The placement of your consciousness determines the flow of your energy. When you are quiet “within”, the world around you becomes still. You can move into peace.
  • When you seek, imagine, and dwell in a specific point of consciousness, it becomes easier to find it. For example, if you focus on higher consciousness or awakening, you will find more of it. If you recall a peaceful state, it’s easier to create it in the “now.”
  • Higher and lower emotions exist. Events, people, and situations cause your inner feelings to move, but you have the choice to return to “center.” Being centered comes through practice, concentration, and spiritual support from the universe.
  • The universe replicates your internal state. When you move into a place of calm and peace, you actually generate those vibrations into your “reality.”

More Abundance

Frequently, readers ask for more information about abundance and financial prosperity. Creating abundance involves changing emotions, thoughts, beliefs and spiritual energy.  Like all energetic solutions, it requires time, work, and devotion–as well as faith.

Here are a few tips:

  1. The universe shares abundance in waves. Tapping into the wave can mean leaving behind beliefs such as not feel deserving and/or believing good people are limited to a particular income The beliefs are diverse, but you can connect into the frequency of prosperity through your inner consciousness.
  2. Visualization is an important tool. It’s important to make a practice of seeing what you want as opposed to reflecting negatively on your experience. For example, see the desired business or money flowing into your life as opposed to not having the desired amount. Change the way you view the flow of money events in your life. (Money always comes after I spend correctly. Money flows in at a tremendous rate when I pay my bills.)
  3. Ultimately, prosperity is energy–just like anything else. Anything can be obtained through a wave-length—good or bad. If you use the energy to help yourself, improve your life, and share with others, it’s positive energy. (You eliminate fear while helping others to create the same vibration.)
  4. It requires practice and action. If you truly want a big change, then 15-20 minutes of daily visualization is not much work. You may also need to work physically as in finding a job or more work. It’s easier to create money when you have it.
  5. Express gratitude while asking for more. Notice everything that is wonderful in your life but expand it as well.
  6. Use the universe as your source during meditation. The universe has an abundance of everything, and it’s far easier to create through the universe than through other people. Let the universe flow through everything and change it into a higher vibration. (More money equals more energy, and it can give a higher vibration—if used correctly.)
  7. When you begin to gain success with these techniques, use them everywhere. See your friends with more abundance, create it for the people on the street, and see the whole world as a better place. (It’s the whole point of spiritual techniques.)
  8. It’s also important to discover how the energy of other people affects your abundance. Some friends believe in us fiercely, helping to create success. Some people are jealous and try to take our abundance. There are also people who expand prosperity for us through love.
  9. Everyone’s visualization is unique. While the basic outline and fabric of the work is similar, there are particular beliefs, energies, and points of interest, which are highly personal. The most important steps involve practice, committing to the vision, and believing in your capacity to do so. (Keep your heart in a place of love.)

Important Points:

  1. Creating abundance requires more persistence and consistent attention than many other manifestations. It is possible to manifest abundance through universal forces, but a state of reception is necessary. Plan to spend several sessions (5-10 minutes on a daily basis) with the mind and spirit focused on receiving.
  2. Think about how you would change positively with more abundance. Focus on who you could help and how. Think about how you could expand your life through study, more time to focus on the spiritual world, and enjoying the beauty of life.
  3. Prosperity often requires clearing genetic and ancestral patterns as well as old beliefs. Be willing to do the work. Become fascinated with the idea of expanding all aspects of your life.
  4. See yourself smiling and laughing as you receive more goodness and prosperity. Life is lovely, and you understand how to make prosperity flow for yourself and others.
  5. See the universe supplying whatever you need to grow in this area of life. Commit to this practice and watch the universe provide answers, opportunities, and love. Step into opportunities when they appear.
  6. Expand and develop your practice when you receive results. Don’t stop!

Full Moon Forecast: The Crossroads of Change

The full moon on Oct. 24 presents a crossroads for many on the spiritual path. Filled with feminine signs, the chart can offer a passage to the new world. There’s a great deal of emphasis on Uranus, the planet of awakening and sudden change. On the highest frequency, Uranus teaches us how to enter the quantum field where we commune with light and love. On the lower frequency, it compounds our problems, making them feel like the downside of a roller coaster.

However, we hold the power to make positive changes, and the energy only lasts for a week or two. Sun (life), Mercury (communications), Venus (love, beauty), and Jupiter (good fortune) are placed in Scorpio, the sign of the scorpion that rules magnetism, sexuality, and birth/death. Moon and Uranus are in Taurus. There’s also a Grand Cross, which asks us to let go of fixed ideas and thoughts while opening up to new and larger truths. (In metaphysics, crosses represent mastery of the four elements – the four aspects of self on the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical plane.)

Moon is on Taurus 2, “An Electrical Storm Illuminates the Heavens and Forests”, indicating strong energies during the lunation. Electrical storms clear the air, indicating it may clear our minds of stringent thoughts. Wherever lightning strikes the earth, it holds an electro-magnetic charge, which was used for absorption of energy by ancient Chi Gong masters. Moon trines Saturn (time, limitation), increasing stability and giving grounding energy. Moon conjuncts Uranus (quantum field, sudden change), which heightens intuition, inventive ideas, and tendency for impulsiveness.

Mercury (communications) is placed in Scorpio. (Think of playing a detective in a cosmic mystery.) We want to explore and find the truth about life—and communicate it. Mercury (communication) squares Mars (assertion, male energy), creating tension between thought and action. Mercury is conjunct (close to) Jupiter, encouraging our quest for truth. Both signs are in Scorpio, heightening the tendency to look successfully beneath the surface for answers to find good fortune, expansion, and growth. Mercury trines (harmonious) Neptune (mysticism, illusion) and aids in seeing behind the veil of illusion.

Venus remains retrograde in Scorpio until mid-November, making review and recreation of love relationships and partnerships (of all kinds) of great importance. Venus sextiles Saturn (time, limitation), which gives stability and structure. Venus also opposes Uranus, causing sudden erratic changes in emotion, particularly with those we love. Venus trines (harmonious) Neptune, extending ability to tap into mysticism, align with beauty, and enhance intuition.

Mars (action, male energy) sits in Aquarius, an air sign ruling thought and humanitarian endeavors. Mars in Aquarius tends cause overthinking instead of directed action. Thoughts tend to overwhelm. Mars squares Jupiter, causing tension between our desire to act and good fortune.

The Grand Cross

On a higher level, the Grand Cross gives an opportunity to move beyond fixed ideas into a broader, happier spiritual perspective. The Cross consists of aspects between fixed signs, but Uranus, the planet of awakening, is heavily involved in the cross.

The North and South Nodes, indicating our spiritual direction for growth and tendency to repeat particular skills instead of growing respectively, square the Sun, Moon, Venus, and Uranus. In short, it’s time to release aspects of the self by growing into a larger image of self. (We find that image in the quantum field, the place of light and love.)

Outer Planets

Jupiter, the planet of expansion, trines the North Node, the direction of growth. The trine helps in finding courage to move beyond limitation and fear. Saturn (time, karma) trines Uranus, bringing together the best of the past and future.(Trines are harmonious and help with manifestation.)

Chiron, the wounded healer, makes trines with Mercury (communications) and Jupiter (expansion), indicating that looking beneath the surface can help in creating a better life.  Saturn (time, karma) squares Chiron, creating tension between our karmic wounds and desire to heal.

Tips:

  • It’s a strong feminine chart, which should feel nurturing and grounding with many planets in earth and water. But several aspects in the chart cause tension, creating pressure to change and embrace life with a higher point of view. (It’s likely that we’ll move back and forth between the relative support of the feminine energies and the desire to act and/or change.)
  • Sun in Scorpio and Moon in Taurus is a powerful combination for fertility, creation, and manifestation. With the overall elements of the chart in play, it’s important to focus on the positive. (Try to hold a positive thought or image for every negative. Move into gratitude when life seems heavy or limiting.)
  • Venus retrograde continues to create pressure around relationships. It’s difficult to say how we feel in our hearts during this time, so practice sending light before speaking – and focus on the higher forces of love.
  • The Grand Cross puts a great deal of pressure on our fixed beliefs, and it’s up to us to continue with them or expand into a higher state of mind. Sometimes, it’s difficult to release them. If this is the case, restrain from sudden action or expression. Give it time and thought. Come back to the universal mind.
  • Our emotions will probably run hot and cold during this period. We’ll feel life quite strongly, but we have many resources such as the grounding offered through Saturn (time, structure) and Moon in Taurus. There are also aspects such Venus trine Neptune, combining love and mysticism to help in seeing and finding spiritual truth amidst the illusion of duality in life.

Sabian Symbols, based on Lynda Hill’s work

Sun is on Scorpio 1, “A Broken Bottle and Spilled Perfume”. The evidence of breaking and spilling an object is apparent from the fragrance in the air. Breaking can refer to outgrowing an aspect of life and bursting from a container — or mistakenly spilling something valuable.

Moon is on Taurus 2, “An Electrical Storm Illuminates the Heavens and Forests”. The dramatic symbol points to a powerful change in weather, which can refer to our perception of life. The lightning bolt also refers to the moment of enlightenment.

Mercury sits on Scorpio 22, “Hunters Protected by Heavy Clothing Are Shooting Wild Ducks”. The interesting symbol can indicate the need for protection while seeking nourishment, a barrier between the self and the weather, or seeing hunting as sport and/or fun.

Venus is placed on Scorpio 5, “A Massive Rocky Shore Resists the Pounding of the Sea”. Water represents emotions, and the rocky shore may symbolize how our fixed beliefs and emotions resist the sea. It can also refer to the need to stay strong in the face of the emotions (drama) of others.

Mars sits on  Aquarius 18, “A Man Being Unmasked at a Masquerade”, This symbol refers to seeing beneath the surface to find the “true” person. We all wear masks, developed through experiences in life. When we look beneath them, we learn a great deal.

Jupiter is placed on Scorpio 27, “A Military Band Marches Through City Streets”. Bands marching through city streets create a display of alliance. It’s easy to see current energies voiced through loud displays on various social media.

Talking with Animals!

Animals compose an exquisite part of life on our planet. Birds fill the air with sweet songs, and deer, bear, and foxes live among the forests.  Wild animals portray elements of the soul in indigenous cultures, and domestic animals help with daily life.

All animals have a voice; they speak from the heart. Hearing and speaking through the heart intuitively is the best communication, but there are many ways to begin. (Most people are unaware of how often they accurately hear their pets.)

In general, domestic animals come into our lives to help, calm emotion, and teach us to heal. They are quite aware of energy. Cats, dogs, horses, and most animals can see and respond to color. Their world – and perceptions – are quite different from generally accepted “truth”.

Here are a few discoveries, followed by tips for communicating with a pet.

  1. Cats and dogs actually clear your negative energy. When your energy is toxic, they absorb and transmute it. (Cats prefer negative energy and thrive on it. They often sleep on a sore part of the body, electrical devices, or sleep near the computer. Dogs prefer positive energy and usually sleep in a space that is higher in energy.)
  2. Dogs, cats, and horses respond strongly to color. Changing the color of a food bowl, collar, leash, or cushion can positively shift their energy.
  3. Animals are often a reflection of your energy, acting out your anxiety, depression, or grief. When we change our vibration, they do the same. (Some animals have been traumatized, and their behavior results from previous events.)
  4. Like most beings on the planet, animals love being told that they’re beautiful and adored. They also want recognition when they behave correctly.
  5. Horses have a very long memory and love stories as well as exciting, pleasurable events. (Think new saddle or bridle and riding with friends.)

Communicating with Your Pet

  1. When you fill the water bowl, decide to walk the dog, or call the cat, your pet is probably projecting the image or feeling. Notice the difference between automatic action and a sudden desire to take care of your pet.
  2. Dogs and cats respond well to “pictures”. It’s easier for them to understand. See the dog sitting before you say the command. See the outdoor cat at the door when you can’t find it. Imagine the animals coming to you before you call. (Some pets speak English better than others, but they all speak in imagery – or a sharp focus on whatever you want to communicate.)
  3. Initially, it’s wise to work with only one or two images. For example, see the dog running and playing outside – or coming to you. Try to create a feeling of happiness along with the image.
  4. When a pet responds to an image, praise them so they understand that you are communicating with them. (Think of how many thoughts and images you create each day!) Ask them to let you know how they feel. If you receive impressions, say them aloud.
  5. When you feel happy and light, express your pleasure so your animals can enjoy it with you. Odd as it sounds, this is one of the best ways of creating an intuitive bond with a pet.
  6. After meditation or a walk, think about your heart connecting with your pet’s heart. Think about how much you love them, and say it in words. (Love is the essence of all higher communication.)

New Moon Forecast: Finding More Love

The New Moon appears on October 8, and its energy will extend for 10-14 days. It’s truly an interesting chart with an emphasis on love overcoming darkness – and balancing fluctuating energy. Sun, Moon, and Mercury in Libra square Pluto, the dark planet that is about power, control, and transmutation, and Venus is retrograde through November 16.

There are two views of life. The first involves the obtainment of abundance and pleasure on the material level; the second speaks about inner happiness and the pursuit of the soul. The soul journey is about traveling through Plutonian darkness, discovering the truth, and using it to transmute life into higher level.

Ruled by Venus, Libra is a kind and gentle sign. Libra bestows a romantic vibration; they love beauty, harmony, and peace. They are often diplomatic, just, and fair. Libra is represented by the scales, and they can often be unreliable as their energy moves up and down with small changes and events. They may also have difficulty with decisions.

Venus in Scorpio wants to know the truth (about everything, particularly feelings associated with love) while Sun in Libra desires light, peaceful sensations of harmony and joy. Venus in retrograde pulls in strange feelings about love, friends from the past (which is good), and the desire for healing the past to create deeper spiritual/personal connection.

Venus is usually associated with the happy, pleasant aspects of life such as loving relationships, beauty (spiritual and aesthetic), and material possessions. When Venus is retrograde, it’s about going deeper to discover what prevents creating more goodness as well as how to find the balance of pleasure on a soul level. (It’s also NOT time to change your hair, overall look, or do anything dramatic–or fall in love.)

The quest is about examining the strange feelings that occur in relationships when we know everything is not exactly right. It’s about seeing partnerships and relationships through eye of the inner self to discover true alignment with the heart. (If we stay with people who don’t want to grow, we can’t grow. If we have a soul contract with a person, we need boundaries.) We can reevaluate boundaries and look for a lighter feeling about love, and ask for change when we can’t find the strength.

Here’s the interesting part. Pluto holds deep, dark secrets, but it also gives the power of strength and commitment to move through blocks and hidden issues from the past.  Sun, Moon and Mercury form squares, which increase our desire to perceive the hidden information that slows our growth. However, we have use love to complete the journey. (It’s not about what’s bad or good. It’s about finding the energetic truth of self and moving into alignment with it.)

If we complete the journey, there’s more passion, love, and an end to old soul contracts that bind us to behavior, which is exhibited as patterns. It creates more harmony and airs tired emotions. The shift opens us to connections with people who want to grow and share their hearts and inner peace.

Let’s look at the remainder of the chart. Mars is in Aquarius, creating an odd mix of focused thought and fixed emotion. On the positive, it trines the Sun and Moon, allowing for harmony with life, emotion, and thoughts. Mars is passion, action, and assertion, and it squares Uranus, causing outbursts of anger and strong emotions around many issues. (We’ve dealt with it throughout the year, and the best attitude is neutralize, examine, and tone it down before taking action.)

Mercury (thought, communications) and Venus (relationships) oppose Uranus (sudden change, awakening). The energy can take us off course into sharp, sudden feelings and thoughts, creating erratic change, or we can observe (briefly) by noticing the two sides of the self, and this is part of the process of awakening. (Only the inner self can observe, and this brings us back into the present moment with greater knowing.)

Neptune

Venus trines Neptune (mysticism, illusion), which heightens intuition and the ability to perceive beauty in life. It also opens the door to perceptions about the unseen, mystical world. Jupiter (good fortune) trines Neptune, bringing a harmonious feeling about resolving issues from the past to create a better future. The two positive aspects encourage taking time to see the beauty of love, spirituality, and the incredible mix of  polar forces on this planet – and how we grow from them.

Notes:

  • New Moons bring a period of void when life in nature remains very quiet for 2-3 days. (I know from observation of nature and gardening.) It’s a time for reflection before moving forward.
  • Sun (life), Moon (emotions), and Mercury (communications, mind) are in Libra, making life seem very lovely with a balance of light and shadows. There is a strong tendency to desire harmony and balance.
  • Venus is retrograde through Nov. 16. Her energy is very different from the prevalent Libran energy. Venus in Scorpio wants to know the truth about relationships and love. It’s important to re-evaluate relationships at an energetic level. What’s the exchange of energy? Is a relationship fulfilling or depleting? Is it the result of a soul contract? If so, do both parties want growth? Where are boundaries needed?
  • Oddly, the universe is strangely insistent about the quality of relationships and the depth of love. It’s a difficult topic for humans – and an important area of inner growth.
  • Sun, Moon, and Mercury square Pluto (subconscious, transmutation), which brings hidden darkness to the surface. When we are willing to look at our own darkness, we can transmute it.
  • The next few weeks will be about balancing harmony, pleasure, and love with energetic truth hidden beneath the surface. The goal is a gestalt moment that opens consciousness to greater love and alters our relationship(s) with those who hold us back.

Sabian Symbols

Sun and Moon are on Libra 16, “After the Storms of Winter, A Boat Landing Stands in Need of Reconstruction”.  The symbol refers to quieter weather, associated with spring and growth, which differs from the “storm” of eclipses and retrograde planets in recent months. Boat landings are a place where to find safe harbor after time spent on water, and there is a need to make it secure and solid.

Mercury is on Libra 29. Mercury is thought and communication, and it speaks about “Mankind’s Vast Enduring Effort for Knowledge Transferable from Generation to Generation.” On the highest level, it’s about consciously awakening, which connects us to universal knowledge. This pursuit brings strength, kindness, and the use of light to heal, build, and change life.

Venus sits on Scorpio 11, “A Drowning Man Is Being Rescued.” It seems an apt for a retrograde Venus when we’re asked to review our past (and past lives) and lift ourselves into higher emotions and a better life.

Water is emotion in metaphysics, and we lift ourselves into clean, flowing water (or love) by rising above the murky issues of relationships and into a state of clear consciousness.

Mars is placed on Aquarius 10, “A Man Who Had for a Time Become the Embodiment of an Ideal Is Made to Realize that as a Person He Is Not This Ideal.” Ultimately, we can only become “ourselves”; it’s impossible to become an ideal or reflection of anything in the world. We’re simply an individual expression of a beautiful, perfect universal force, and this realization sets us free.

Jupiter sits on Scorpio 24, “Crowds Coming Down the Mountain to Listen to One Inspired Man”. The image depicts the sharing of a gift or wisdom with a group of people. There are two aspects to the image. One is the speaker who gives, and the other is the crowd, who receives.

It may be time to share a gift, receive wisdom from another person, or decide to listen to our inner voice.
