On August 19, the Full Moon appears at 2:26 pm. It’s both a Blue Moon and a Supermoon. Supermoons occur when the Moon is close to the earth, making the aspects of the planets, overall energy, and emotions feel more intense than usual. Blue Moons occur when four full moons appear in a single season, and the Blue Moon is the third moon of the sequence. The Blue Super Moon will appear “full” for three days after its appearance.

This Full Moon is likely part of the new awakening because of the many aspects with Uranus, which  indicates a desire and need for change. (Uranus’s goal is freedom through development of the inner self.) It’s important to discern what the soul desires as opposed to our ego wants–and to align with new perceptions and insights that lead to the creation of a new (more aligned) life.  A trine with Galactic Center hints at the importance of our light level as we move through this shift.

There are two T-squares in the chart. T-squares push us to change, but they also inspire change, flexibility, and alterations in perception. They tend to bring problems closer so we can examine and solve them.  One T-square is with the Sun/Moon/Uranus, and it aligns with the Jupiter/Saturn square. The second T-square is with Venus/Mars/Saturn, and Uranus. (T-squares affect us deeply, and there’s more information under challenges in the latter part of the forecast.)

Let’s look at the planets and some positive aspects before moving into the more intense aspects in the chart.

One of the wonderful aspects is Sun trine Galactic Center, the point in the universe that radiates love and light.  If we focus on love and cosmic light, the universe offers a great deal of support. (Uniting with this force comes from contemplation of the inner self.)

Sun (life) is in Leo, the solar sign that rules the heart, drama, passion, and courage. Moon (emotion) is always in the opposite sign at the time of the full moon, so it is in Aquarius. Mercury (mind) is in Leo, and it’s in retrograde, which slows the motion of life and tends to confuse communications, travel, and mental expression. Sun conjunct Mercury (mind, communication) heightens our mental ability and accelerates thought.

Moon trine Mars (action, male) gives courage and initiative—and can improve relationships. Moon trine Jupiter (good fortune, expansion) heightens our ability to create abundance, receive blessings, and feel the more positive energies in life. Moon square Uranus may cause rapid mood swings, anxiousness, and erratic behavior.

Mercury in Leo loves drama, rules from the heart, and allows emotion to rule the mind. Currently retrograde, it remains in this position until August 27.  (Follow the rules by not starting new projects, signing contracts, or buying electronics.)

Venus (love, relationships) in Virgo is discriminating, critical, and practical. Venus square Mars (male, assertion) can cause anger, the tendency to blame others, and impulsiveness. Venus square Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) increases happiness and optimism, and it may accelerate the appetite for food, spending, and any type of personal indulgence. Venus opposition Saturn (limitation, karma) may cause feelings of insecurity, vulnerability, and focus on aspects of life that are unfulfilling. Venus trine Uranus (sudden change, quantum field) enhances artistic ability, self-expression, and the need for new experiences.

Mars conjunct Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) is a wonderful aspect, giving optimism, increasing abundance, and helping with completing projects.   Mars square Saturn (limitation, karma) brings frustration and may give the feeling of not pushing forward or lack of success in life.   Mars square Neptune (illusion, mysticism) causes self-deception and an inability to discern between truth and illusion. Frustration and anxiety may accompany the square.

Jupiter (expansion, good luck) in Gemini speeds the media, internet, and the constant stream of information. Jupiter square Saturn (limitation, karma), which will occur twice in 2024. Astrologer Mark Borax describes the square as the opportunity to transcend limitations and perceptions of the self in the past, and to move into alignment with the true self.

Uranus, The Challenge(s)

Uranus, the planet of the “new”, sudden changes, and the quantum field is at the center of the challenges. Uranus rules electronics, communications (both in the seen and unseen world), sudden change, and the New Age.  Some astrologers predict the internet and possibly power will go up and down during this time. There could be big changes in politics, more earth changes, etc.; the truth is we’ll have to wait and see.

As a person with many planets that aspect Uranus, it’s fair to say that Uranus acts like a roller coaster. It can take our consciousness from high to low or vice versa, but it follows the path of the placement of our overall being.  If we are low, Uranus causes sudden changes that can feel overwhelming or negative. When connected with higher consciousness, the planet lifts us into higher spiritual realization.

The T-square of Sun/Moon/Uranus, which aligns with the Jupiter/Saturn square, is likely to demonstrate how our lives and emotions are out of synchronicity with our greatest dreams and desires. (The Jupiter/Saturn square relates to fulfilling our destiny, so pay attention and take notes.)

The T-square with Venus (feminine)/Mars (masculine)/Saturn (limitation), and Uranus focuses on relationships, partnerships, and the past (Saturn). Uranus asks us to step beyond previous perceptions, behavior, and beliefs—and into a place that is lighter, more sustaining, and creates more growth.

Sun square Uranus causes instability, alters electronics, and asks for awareness of aspects of life that need changing. It can cause outbursts, so wait a week or two before becoming angry; it’s wise to work on yourself instead. Moon square Uranus may cause rapid mood swings, anxiousness, and erratic behavior. Mercury square brings boredom, excitement, and disruptions. Uranus sextile Neptune and Uranus trine Pluto both encourage studying spiritual mysteries, meditation and study of the unseen world.

Neptune (illusion, mysticism) in Scorpio heightens group emotions and sensations. With Mars square Neptune, it’s a time to employ caution. We shouldn’t believe all that we see or hear—or think.  Neptune sextile Pluto (subconscious, transformation) helps everyone who wants to align with spirituality or philosophy.

Pluto (subconscious, transformation) in Aquarius marks the time of adventure into more space age journeys, electronics, and perhaps greater understanding. Pluto is retrograde and will soon move back to Capricorn.

Chiron, the wounded healer, trines Sun and Mercury, and it sextiles Moon, Mars, and Jupiter, which indicates a good time for healing.

Planet Retrograde

Mercury (thought, communication), Saturn (limitation, karma), Neptune (mysticism, illusion), Pluto (subconscious, transformation), and Chiron (wounded healer) are in retrograde, which creates a period of reflection to review life and choose what we want to repeat, recreate in a new way, or release and transcend. It also slows the rhythm of life.

 The Challenges

Sun (life), Moon (emotion), and Mercury (communication) square Uranus (sudden change, quantum field) Uranus always brings change of some type—whether positive or negative. Sun square Uranus causes instability, alters electronics, and asks for awareness of aspects of life that need changing. It can cause outbursts, so wait a week or two before becoming angry; it’s wise to work on the self instead. Moon square Uranus may cause rapid mood swings, anxiousness, and erratic behavior. Mercury square brings boredom, excitement, and disruptions.

Notes

  1. Focus on the pure and beautiful energy of Galactic Center by imagining the love and energy of the cosmos flowing through you.
  2. Tap into the abundance of Mars square Jupiter. It’s a powerful, optimistic aspect. Use your imagination positively.
  3. Delays and interruptions are likely with many retrograde planets and aspects with Uranus. Plan to work with patience and compassion.
  4. Uranus is a strong planet, and it can take us high or low. Focus the mind on the positive, the feeling of connection with nature and universe, and the beauty of the world.
  5. You have the power to move through this time and use the energy positively.

Belinda, thank you for noticing! I spent about 2 days on the forecast as opposed to my usual 2-3 hours. It’s quite complex as a forecast, but I feel the underlying energy is very good, particularly if we apply it.
