Getting in the Gap with Wayne Dyer

Julia: Getting in the Gap is about experiencing the space between our thoughts through the use of meditation and Japa or sound. How does this happen? What happens as we move into that space?

Wayne: Everyone experiences approximately 60,000 thoughts each day and tends to have the same patterns of thoughts over and over each day. These repetitive thoughts are projected or created by the ego.

The ego creates patterns of concepts in the material world that simulate the idea of safety and love, but we are really trapped by the ego. Usually we stay with one thought until the next thought takes over. This process limits us and keeps from experiencing the Source that is in the Gap between these strands or patterns of thought.

To create, we need a pause or gap between the thoughts. The gap or this space is the place that allows us to build, create, and manifest. We can all experience the gap through meditation.

In Getting in the Gap, I use the Lord’s Prayer and the sound ‘ah’ or one of the names of God. The sound of ‘ah’ is not only within the name of God; it is also in the sound of Allah, Krishna, Jehovah, and Ra.

When repeated in a mantra while in the Gap, it keeps us in a prolonged state of consciousness with our Source. Staying in the Gap helps us to experience the benefits of less stress, more peace, less fatigue, more energy. We also look younger and happier.

We move into a creative place in which we can use Japa to attract what we want into our lives. Most significantly, we make conscious contact with God, the source of all energy.

Julia: In Yoga, one lies in sivasana (or corpse pose), a receptive pose at the end of practice to balance activity. Is the place that you describe as the Gap similar to this and other states experienced in esotericism?

Wayne: Yes, it is the same type of practice, the point of which is to merge with the Source, the highest consciousness level where we realign our inner intention to the creative force of which we are all a part.

Julia: Japa is similar to intentional languages, such as Sanskrit, in which the vibrations of the sounds can actually manifest as shapes in sand or salt (yantras). How do the intentional sounds used in the Gap affect the meditation?

Wayne: Sound accesses the dimension between the spiritual and the physical. The Source of Energy can be accessed through the use of sound. Everything vibrates at a certain frequency – this is a law of physics. These frequencies are not good or bad, right or wrong, but the vibratory rate of the frequency can be said to be high or low.

The sounds used in Japa bring about high energy that vibrates at a rapid speed. When our energy vibrates rapidly, we feel good, peaceful, receptive, and creative. Japa is a way of magnetizing the vibration of love and manifesting with this wave. Japa can act as a shield for the lower emotions of others. It deflects the negativity of those around you. We can go into meditation and be free of any response to negative emotion.

Negativity is eliminated from our energy field, and we not only feel good, but we become capable of transmuting the negative energy fields of others. Scientific studies based on the measurement of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that indicates the level of peace and harmony, have shown that exposure to the energy field of those who meditate raises the serotonin levels of the people around them. High energy actually changes hatred, anger, and sadness by elevating it into love.

Julia: The ego creates projections on its need to feel safe and loved. We experience these projections in 3D or physical reality. I have noticed that many people feel their lives are falling apart when they begin to meditate and manifest. What advice would you give to them?

Wayne: There is no question that many people experience what I call a ‘somersault’ into an inconceivable reality and face the possibility that what you thought wasn’t possible, now is possible. The ego has difficulty letting go of its concept that you can focus on all things that are good, or that you can truly become a magician with real magic.

The ego starts to say that none of this can really happen – you aren’t intended to be this way. Some of the thoughts of the ego are, “It will never happen. It’s too hard. I can’t do it.” If you can continue to go to a higher vibration, then you can move through this resistance by becoming in harmony or one with the Source. In this state, you experience the least amount of resistance to all things.

Another issue for many people is worthiness. Learning to feel worthy and deserving of abundance is one of the steps of manifestation. You also need to realize that good and God are synonymous. The five most important words that you can repeat or say to yourself are, “I want to feel good.” People ask, “How can you focus on good–and feeling good–with the war in Iraq or all of the other things that are happening in the world today?”

My answer is that it is still essential to focus on the Source, the feeling that the world within and without is good. When your focus is on that thought, you project it to everyone, and the energy of peace, goodness, and wholeness is transmitted to the world through the antenna of your mind.

Julia: In the book, there is a list of guidelines for those who have not practiced meditation previously. I think that they are important to have a sense of success when utilizing Japa. Would you tell us about them?

Wayne: There is no such thing as a bad meditation. Even if your inner voice is persistent or loud, the time spent in silence is important. Just observe the inner voice and use it as a reminder to go back into the gap. With time, the inner dialogue ceases. Meditation is like all disciplines in that it requires practice.

Mastery occurs through time, and the practice of meditation eventually becomes joyful. There is no right or wrong time. It is important to create your own schedule that fits best for you, as well as using the time at a traffic light or a pause in a meeting. There is no correct meditation length. Approximately 20 minutes on a twice-daily basis works best for me, but I do meditate a lot. As I said before, even a two-minute meditation is useful. There is no correct posture or place for meditation. Find what is best for you and trust your inner knowledge. Sitting, lying down, or kneeling are all correct postures. Any place is fine. I’m not particular about location, but some people prefer the same posture, chair, and location each day.

Julia: You also list spiritual principles that are used as a focus of awareness during meditation. What are the principles?

Wayne: 1) Become aware of your highest self. This awareness helps you know that you are more than merely a physical creation. 2) Trust yourself so that you trust the wisdom that created you. This principle establishes you as one and the same with the God-force. 3) Realize that you are more than an organism in an environment. You are an environorganism. This principle establishes your power to attract that which you are already connected to. 4) Know that you can attract to yourself what you desire. This principle establishes your power to attract that which you are already connected to. 5) Honor your worthiness to receive. This principle affirms that you are worthy of all that is attracted to your life. 6) Connect to the divine Source with unconditional love. This principle creates an awareness of the significance of accepting your manifestations with absolute love. 7) Meditate to the sound of creation. This principle gives you the tools for vibrating to the sounds that are in the world of creation. 8) Patiently detach from the outcome. This principle emphasizes the need to remove demands and become infinitely patient. 9) Receive your manifestations with gratitude and generosity. This principle teaches you the value of taming the ego while being thankful and serving others with your manifestations.

Julia: To practice achieving the gap, your instructions focus on feeling centered in God, then placing one’s inner attention on what is desired, detaching, having faith and saying the name of God. There are many different ways of focusing the inner attention. Do you mean to do this by visualizing what one wants in detail or simply on the feeling of the desire?

Wayne: You shouldn’t hold a visual image. Focus instead on the feeling of wellbeing that you will have when you achieve what you are intending. In other words, how would you feel if what you wanted manifested? Take that feeling and combine it with the intention. The key to Japa and manifesting is repeating the sound of ‘ah’ or name of the sound of God while holding the intention. The energy should be felt so strongly that you negotiate the presence of your desire by being at one with the same force that you perceive is missing from your life. The first secret of success is to have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing. In other words, you may think you want to live in Georgia, but the best place for you to live may be in Texas. Your happiness or success can’t be dependent on an attachment to a person, place, or thing. Intention is not something that you do, but it is an energy of which you are a part. It is a force in the Universe that allows the act of creation to take place. In The Power of Intention, I write about intention as a force in the universe that allows the act of creation to take place. Intention is actually a field that can be accessed for co-creation.

Julia: There are some remarkable testimonials from your readers related in Getting in the Gap about their manifestations. I assume the changes in their lives occurred from the change from a place of ego to the place of the Source?

Wayne: The ego creates all of the impairments and blocks to the divine plan of the Source. Problems exist as beliefs of the ego, which cannot conceptualize the spiritual mind. Our belief in separation from God creates the attitudes that we label a problem. When we can let go of attachments and blocks, the Source creates whatever is needed in our lives. It is also important to create a state of self-worthiness, to know that you are deserving of whatever you ask.

Julia: Why is it important not to tell others what we hope to attract?

Wayne: We disconnect from the Source energy when we begin to tell others about what we desire. The energy frequency diminishes during discussion because the ego becomes involved. The attraction and manifestation should come through spirit, and it is easy to lose the connection through discussion.

Julia: In conclusion, I wanted to ask about a quote in your book, “We can choose the ego when needed and can choose the power of our Source.” What exactly do you mean by this?

Wayne: We can be in the ego state, and that state is finite. The ego state is one of limitation, of hatred, bitterness, sadness. When we die, all of the elements in our body return to the earth. The water in our body returns to the oceans, the minerals return to the earth. What is created in a night perishes within a night. What is finite is limited, and our ego reflects the physical state. The Source is infinite.

We can make a choice to be connected to the Source, and, in that space or Gap, we can encounter all Creation. The Source created not one but millions of Universes. It does not stop with one creation or one manifestation, and its energy is infinite.

When we tap into the Source through the void or the gap, we can become an antenna or a focus point for the infinite. We immediately become receptive, open, loving, and free. There is peace and patience in that space. We immediately know that there is no conflict; everything is in divine order. It seems that these are the only two choices that we can truly make. We can choose the ego with its hatred, bitterness, and fear, or the Source of all creation that lies in the gap between the thoughts and assertions of the ego.

Beautiful New Moon

It’s easy to feel the shift through the sigh of the trees, the motion of the clouds, and the alterations in the weather. The planet is shifting and taking us along for the ride.

The New Moon appears on May 11 at 2:59 pm. With Sun, Moon, Uranus, and Pluto in earth signs, it makes for a fertile energy for fostering ideas, working with the soil, resting, or enjoying the beauty of nature. While it’s important to work with plans and keep life in order, this is a moon for a brief period of rest and reflection.

The Sun and Moon form beautiful shapes with Neptune (mysticism) and Pluto (underworld, transformation.) Sun (life, light) and Moon (emotion) sextile Neptune and trine Pluto. Aspects with Neptune heighten sensitivity, creativity, and receptiveness. Trines with Pluto increase personal magnetism and intensity. The aspects can help with changing our lives in a positive sense. (Positive aspects with Pluto tend to increase power and energy in general.)

When Uranian energies conjunct and align positively with the sun and moon–our personal yin and yang–we experience the impetus of spiritual energy coursing through our lives. Divine, inspired ideas are sometimes received, causing our lives to flow in a spiritual direction. (Uranus rules the quantum field where odd changes and thoughts lead to greater realization.)

Mercury (thought, communication) is placed in Gemini, radiating rapid thought and increased ability to communicate effectively. Mercury conjuncts (close to) Venus, aligning the higher mind with the heart. Mercury trines (harmonious) Saturn (limitation/structure/karma), and it’s positive with this placement, aiding in our ability to bring order to our thoughts and plans. Mercury conjuncts the North Node (collective goals and commitments), which can give clarity and unity to our collective quests in a positive sense.

Venus (love, romance) trine Pluto heightens love, romance, and sensuality. It intensifies our feelings and emotions about love, relationships, and prosperity. Desire is a part of every quest, and Venus in this position increases it by deepening emotions, aesthetics, and commitment to all types of relationships. Venus square Jupiter can increase the desire to have fun, relax, or forget about work, but the feeling isn’t conducive to growth. (It’s wise to push past it.)

Mars (action, assertiveness, male) in Cancer brings emotions into play, particularly when we contemplate action and moving through particular aspects of life. Our emotions may interfere with right action—unless we simply accept the need to take a step and make changes in the flow of life.

Jupiter (good fortune, expansion) is on the last degree of Aquarius. On May 13, Jupiter moves into the first degree of Pisces where it becomes exalted (the most beneficial position and sign for a planet). Jupiter in Pisces stirs the soul, uniting inner knowledge and expansion. It heralds a time of optimistic thought, new ideals, and positive feelings.

Saturn in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus refers to the divisive energies between Saturn (old world structure) and Uranus (the utopian dream). It points to the conflicts between liberal and conservative on political, economic, and social levels. The square involves the conflict between issues of technology and harmony on earth and the physical world.

Pluto is retrograde until October 6. It occurs every year, and the retrograde involves creating boundaries, releasing control issues, and reclaiming personal power. It’s also a good time to review goals.

Tips

  1. The New Moon brings peaceful energy through aspects with Neptune, which rules mysticism and encourages insights into our spiritual nature.
  2. Trines with Pluto increase power and energy, making it a good time to focus on long term goals and personal resources.
  3. Mercury in Gemini bring clarity to the mind and aids with thought and communication.
  4. Jupiter is moving into Pisces, which will bring a feeling of wellbeing.
  5. The New Moon provides a period of rest and reflection, which should be followed by action. Think and meditate about the wisest actions for making long term changes in life.

Creating Change through Visualization

1) Begin with a positive and courageous attitude. It doesn’t matter if you tried and failed in the past. Your perseverance coupled with practice will change your life. In time, you’ll recognize patterns of lower emotion and thought. You’ll transcend them with positive imagery and thought. The beliefs will alter with practice. (It’s good to know this is a particularly good time for creative change. The planets and New Year support it. Many people are awakening and changing at this time, and their energy lends support with your efforts.)

2) When you have a wonderful day and/or a successful practice, compliment yourself. Notice your good work. Notice how you feel. In time, this will help you to discern when you are/are not connected. This teaches volumes about connection with your heart. Build yourself up for making the effort. (If you miss one day, compliment yourself for the previous six days of practice.)

3) Whether or not you feel connected in meditation, believe it is working. Every time you practice meditation, you are literally collecting energy and light. The energy builds over time. Trust in the effort. An opportunity for change will come if you stay with the practice.) Believe the universe is working with you.

4) Everyone has created a big, positive change—at least once. Travel through your memories and choose one of these times to revisit. Relive the memory and feel the burst of resolve and courage, which resulted in accomplishment. You can use this energy again (simply by remembering it.)

5) Do work with your intuitions. Intuitions can be grouped into areas–true and false. Keep a list. Refrain from acting on the “false” intuitions, and act more on the “true” list. (It’s important to know you will receive new intuitions and dreams whenever you reach a higher energy level. It takes time to discern true from false—and the same is true with dreams.)

6) Spend time with people on a higher energy level. Find friends who encourage you and believe in you. When others see the good in you, you feel and believe it. (You don’t discuss your manifestation, but you do enjoy the friendship.)

7) Raise your vibrations by listening to lectures or meditations by teachers on a higher level and/or reading spiritual works. It’s good to read a few spiritual words before bed and visualize awakening in a rested state. (If you experienced a turbulent day, you can actually see everything as better in 48 hours. It usually works.)

If you truly practice visualization, you’ll learn how to project positive energy. You’ll learn to change your inner visuals of negativity to the positive, and you can do it for others. More importantly, you’ll find the sensation of your inner self, which always sees life in a very different and more perfect way.

Spring Message from the Wolves

Wolves speak as does all of nature in a language that flows from the heart, and I continue to spend time with them each month. They give insights into energy for myself and others. Like all parts of nature, they have a deep understanding of how life works.

With the wolves, I experienced awakening—the flash of light that lies behind the forms of the physical world and leads to many understandings, which resonate with the soul. When the moon moves into the cycle of fullness, their messages become clear and more apparent as the light increases. It’s the same way that we find answers in moments of illumination.

The Message

There are many aspects of humankind that have been forgotten. In long ago times, men and women painted images that pulled animals and plants into their sphere for hunting and life force. They used magical sounds through flutes, drums, and whistles—or calling on totem animals.

Ancient cultures applied geometrics and frequencies created by numerical values such as the pyramids, which created harmony and beneficial vibrations. There are many wonders in your world, which have not been found or understood.

You live on a magical planet with many hidden secrets. They are similar to the secrets that are hidden within you. By seeking to understand more and living in alignment with nature, these mysteries are opened in your heart and mind, which opens your heart and soul to life itself.

Many people are ignorant of the process of creating their life. Just before sleep, they imagine waking up in the same scenario with the identical health, thoughts, and emotions—a revolving series of repeating images. The images and feelings change slightly with the seasons, but they do not approach the power that is yours—the power to create a different, happy life. (Ask and imagine what it would be like to live in a happier and more aligned reality.)

Your culture tends to focus on the negative, which is amplified by your attention and energy. You have a habit of not believing in the possibility of greater good. You focus on your worries, and this limits the outcome of future possibility.

If you want to create a change in life, it’s important to know it’s limited by your beliefs and response to life. There are miracles such as spontaneous healing–or completely changing your life. There is a future that is based on harmony rather than fear. It takes time and effort to accomplish it as well as time spent with nature because the body is nourished by the earth.

Begin with your thoughts. Become aware of them. Speak to them and change them often. If a thought doesn’t make you feel good, change it to a positive. See and feel your life working out well.

Seeing is a talent that overrides negative thoughts. If you make a positive image and repeat it, your life literally changes. A visual also changes emotions as they are deeply linked to the repeating patterns of thoughts that create your life.

For example, eating well or exercising to become healthy is not the same as eating because your body likes it and benefits from it Exercising for the joy of fresh air or movement of the body is quite different from exercising because you should. Notice how one act relates to creating health and happiness; the opposite thought (eating well for health) may relate to a fear of what might happen if you don’t move in this direction. (The same can be said for a new career. It’s possible to remain where you are through fear, but believing it’s possible and using the imagination can ignite it.)

Emotions respond to sensations of the body and images (thoughts) in the mind. They can also relate to disconnection. When you are happy and aligned, your emotions stay balanced with less oscillation.

Dreams

Dreams are very important. Your heart knows what you want.

The pursuit of dreams is one of the most beautiful aspects of your life. Each night, you dream about the past, the present, and future. During the day, you move into series of thoughts and feelings that relate to “dreams” within your mind.

There are also dreams that are hidden in your heart. By focusing on your dreams, there is a feeling of creating harmony within yourself and with the world. (Many events would alter in the world if more people focused in this way.) The feeling of harmony comes because you have focused on a dream that is in harmony with your heart.

If you visualize and feel the dream more often than you feel negative sensations, then the dream must come into being. It is simply about substituting one dream for another. It is part of why you are here.

With the changing energies, which oscillate continually because the planet is changing, it is important to think about what your heart wants. How would happiness look to you? What must change? What would make your life move like a graceful river?

If you don’t know these answers, sit quietly in nature and meditate. Think about the good things that are within you—the light, the love, and the kindness. Feel them expand.

You hear and receive energies from unseen sources and waves of energy. It is a constant flux of energy that feeds your consciousness, which can lift your thoughts and emotions. If you hear the voices of the earth, then you are lifted by trees, flowers, and the sky above.

You find the heart of your consciousness. The answers will come. Trust and move into this new motion—a new way of receiving energy and finding answers in a gentle way.

New Moon Forecast: A Time for Growth

Spring brings new beauty in shape of flowers, birds, and the leaves of trees. It lends vision and color to our perception of life. In the same way, five planets in Aries encourage taking action to create new perceptions and move forward in life.  Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Chiron are in Aries, which is the first sign of the zodiac, marking a time of new beginnings. However, this chart also asks for a look at the dark side and engagement with the self on a deep level. We’re asked to see our shadow and become conscious of it while continuing to move into the light.

The New Moon appears on Sunday, April 11 at 10:31 pm ET. The New Moon is the time of the pause—the void, stillness, and reflection on the upcoming moon cycle. It brings a special time to slow down, review, and change the course of our personal lives. This New Moon brings the opportunity for beginning life with new perceptions while contemplating the underlying reasons for staying in the same place–and experiencing repetitive emotional patterns.

Five planets in Aries bring warm, passionate energy and heightened creativity, which amplify the spirit of spring, and drive us in the direction of our quest. Aries can be hot-headed, stubborn, or egotistical, but it also carries the charm of the child–a fascination with the beauty of life. Aries also encourages boldness and new endeavors.

All of life is beautiful within the placement of the inner planets. Sun (life), Moon (emotions), Mercury (thought, communications), Venus (love, relationships), and Chiron (wounded healer) are placed in Aries. Sun and Moon conjunct (close to) Mercury (thought) and Venus (love), creating harmony between life and emotion as well as thought and love. Sun (life), Moon (emotion) and Venus (love) sextile Mars (action) and Jupiter (good fortune). Sextiles are mildly harmonious aspects that amplify positive outcomes.

Mercury (thought) moves quickly and creatively when placed in Aries. Venus (love) in Aries is passionate, fun, and exciting—and sometimes impulsive. Mars (action) in Gemini is flexible, communicative, and swift. This position urges a wider view of life on the mental level and encourages using the mind on a higher level, which involves aligning mind and thought. It heightens conversational skills, the intellect, and the ability to take action in these areas of life.

Mars trines Jupiter (good fortune), bringing good fortune, ambition, and success. Mars (action) square Neptune (illusion, mysticism) brings a wave of confusion, particularly when we consider taking action. Neptune is dreamy, and it tends to cloud our vision in this position.  It’s helpful to notice the positions of the mind that are clear and use the creativity, bestowed by Neptune, to take the next step. (If you feel confused about a project or a direction, focus on a desire/goal that resonates deeply with your heart.)

Shadow Work

Saturn (karma, limitation) square Uranus (sudden change, quantum field) involves a strange set of realizations. It may concern past karma, old beliefs that no longer fit, and/or a perception, which needs review. Saturn tends to remind us of where we’ve traveled in the wrong direction in the past, but it can also relate to lack of self-esteem, hesitation about creating new plans, or experiencing another (sometimes negative) aspect of life. In particular, it’s about aligning with the concepts of Aquarius on a personal level. On a global level, it’s about the earth and our relationship with her. (Many earth changes mirror the state of collective consciousness. We see this with earthquakes, volcanoes, and strange weather. When we are in or out of harmony, nature reflects it.)

Sun, Moon, and Venus square Pluto tends to distort the balance between the ego and inner self. Plutonian energy can be transformative, obsessive, or oppressive, but it’s also about power. Sun square Pluto exerts pressure on relationships; it tends to reveal our inner darkness and secrets, which may be expressed through emotions. The energy can be useful if the focus is love, and the outcome is finding compromise between the self and other person.

Moon square Pluto affects emotions and home life. It tends to reveal personal dissatisfaction with daily life, which likely relate to suppressed, personal patterns. (Our dissatisfaction may come from a true problem, but the answer lies in identifying the part of the self, which isn’t aligned with a higher calling.) Venus square Pluto can reveal personal, dark issues with loving relationships and other types of relationships. The aspect heightens insecurities that relate to love such as possessiveness and manipulation. (We can move beyond the aspect by focusing on connection with the universe and developing greater self-acceptance.)

Notes

  1. It’s a powerful time to take action on projects and desires. The universe supports moving in the direction of our dreams. Many positive aspects such as trines and sextiles are found in the chart. Sometimes, the temptation is to simply feel positive when we should focus on the higher aspects of our journey.
  2. The mind moves very quickly with Mercury (thought, communication) in Aries. It’s important to make a list of the desired direction and take action steps. Otherwise, Mercury can create a number of distractions by thinking too quickly and spinning in many directions at once.
  3. Mars (action) in Gemini asks for a broader base of thought, emphasizes flexibility, and a new perceptions. It can also help with connection to the higher mind through meditation and contemplation. Mars square Neptune can cloud our vision. It’s important to check within before activating a project.
  4. It’s the perfect time to flow into new aspects of life, but oscillation is a strong challenge in the chart. Aspects with Pluto, the lord of the underworld, activate old patterns of limitation, which can create power issues and a desire to control—or we can recognize how problems may occur out of our personal subconscious. We may move back and forth between the darkness and light (subconscious/higher consciousness) during this moon period. Fortunately, there is a great deal of support for growth, realization, and a gain in our light level.

A Message from the Wolves

When the moon is full, I hear and feel the messages of the wolves. They speak of changes in the earth’s energy field, opening our hearts to the vibration of change, and manifesting in an unusual time. They share their secrets, which are profound and mysterious. Move into their presence and listen with your heart.

Here is their message.

The earth is changing, and she sends new messages and energy. You can accommodate the energy by opening to it and trusting that ups and downs of spirit are part of understanding how the rhythms of life are changing. (The patterns of energy, including ley lines and power points, are being altered by new waves of energy.)

What can you share about the earth changes?

The lines of energy are changing their patterns. They will become more accessible to those who are awakening and aligning with the inner self.

It has been centuries or more since the lines have changed. Many monuments and cities are built on these lines, but the lines are moving to support nature and to create a comeback of the life force on this planet. (We will not share their locations or how they are moving.)

People may experience them as waves of strange energy, a day of deep connection, or a feeling of lassitude because they are oscillating – just as your thoughts and feeling do on a regular basis.

Are there other ways that they affect us?

Yes. They will eventually support manifestation for those who know to work from the heart and search for those desires that are aligned with true growth.

NOW is a good time to begin the work. See the best and most beautiful earth that you can imagine. Add what you long for in this earthly existence. Is it clean water or clear skies—or a feeling of ease and connection for everyone? See it each time that you go out into world and add the creatures of the earth, flowers, and plants.

Is there more to share?

The changes sometimes take place rapidly. At other times, the process slows for a month or more, which is when you feel life is returning to “normal”. It will not return to normal. There are many, many other changes ahead, which may be difficult or exciting, depending on the placement of your consciousness.

Can you speak more about manifestation?

It is a way of accessing a larger light and creating the heart’s desire. It is not about accumulating things although it can be a part of a larger desire. It is more aligned with receiving light, feeling nature, and listening to the heart.

From this place, many good things come into being. The intuition and appreciation for life are amplified, and the world seems more beautiful. The view of life becomes more expansive. The mind becomes quiet and aligns with the heart. The body feels the earth, and emotions flow in a natural way.

By manifesting new and exciting ideas, you move out into the flow of universal energy. Your thoughts expand, and your emotions flow in new directions. You feel the currents and tuning of the earth.

You came to create thoughts and ideas that would make matter respond and flow into more beautiful forms. Flowers grow more beautifully when you admire their loveliness. Babies and animals respond to love. Trees move gently when you are aware of them—or when your thoughts are strong and harmonious. The earth feels your feet.

When you meditate, nature feels you. It responds to the unity of your focus. From this place, life flows in a different way. It has a sense of harmony; it brings more peace.

It also separates you from what doesn’t work well. Yet, it leads to other places and people, which reflect the unity within you. It is a passage in time—a ride on a river, which flows into wonderful scenes and adventures.

There are also those manifestations that take a long time to come into being? Why is this?

You may wonder why you don’t manifest your dreams, but the indigenous people spent hours or days as they worked on changing the weather, healing sickness, or finding special plants. It was a way of loving life, and they never questioned that their desires came from their hearts.

It takes time, it takes love, and it takes a special type of connection.

The earth is changing to help you in creating this connection and finding your direction. You are closer than you think, particularly if you are patient. Look inside to find another type of flow, an energy that is still, connected, and yet flowing.

It is the old flow, the old way from the first beginning. This energy teaches you to find out who you truly are and to discover the part of you, who once mastered holding thoughts and feelings that came into form.

There are many ways of manifesting and many ways of manifesting a desire, but the important part is to try, to make an effort, and to believe that it is possible—perhaps in a way that you’ve not known in this lifetime.

Julia Griffin, intuitive healer and owner of One True Self, began her work under the tutelage of real wolves. Following their direction, Julia sees and reads energy, including animals, plants and people. She works with people in session to find their resonance with the soul, clearing patterns and alignment with their inner path.

Awakening: The Collective Initiative

Painting by Doug Gobel

It’s a special time for awakening. The Precession of Ages, a 26,000 year cycle, along with the turning cycle from Pisces to Aquarius, offers a rare influx of light.  Imagine a wheel with spokes. When the spokes are partially closed, we receive a small amount of light. When the spokes are open, the light flows out.

There is an acceleration of time, an amplification of emotion, and a collective energy, which becomes more apparent with the passage of time. The collective awakening occurs among people who understand the workings of light or have an open heart. When the light level of this group grows, it is literally radiated out to the world at large.

For those who are experiencing the dispensation of light (consciously), there is a growing awareness of the ego’s internal dialog, the power of light, the collective energy of negative thought, and an understanding of how our personal problems apply to group or world karma. For many, there is a need to retreat from media, crowded locations, and large groups—particularly as we become more attuned on a soul level.

The “shift” amplifies emotions and sensations. We may feel surprised by the depth of our emotions or delighted by our connection with nature. We may find that many of our emotions are hidden beneath social responses. As we drop the mask formed by societal interaction, we find many feelings from adolescence or childhood beneath the surface. It’s part of the clearing of old energies from the earth, which are displaced by the new light.

There is also an increasing desire to connect with others who have light and speak positively about life. Many people are becoming more aware of their ability to act as an active creator in life. We understand how every thought or emotion emits a wave—and how the wave spreads through many minds. We are learning how to respond to life with positive visualizations and love as opposed to anger or hate against those who choose to create global problems. We’re also learning to visualize and “feel” solutions on the inner plane.

The exciting part of the shift lies in its possibility for finding our power as co-creators. When it becomes necessary to visualize, meditate or observe the self to navigate through life, we quickly develop our skills. For example, if we learn to see life differently and positively, the probability of positively changing our lives and the planet escalates dramatically.

When meditating through spiritual connection on a positive visualization, we automatically hold the frequency for a particular outcome. The current amplification of thought, emotion, and visualization distributes the frequency to anyone who wishes to create a similar reality. Most people with a devoted practice learn the value of sending light to others, projects and world problems because we develop a sincere desire to help.

Sending light and seeing the world differently are probably among the strongest tools to create active change. Let’s look at a few personal examples. We can envision projects completed quickly and correctly; we can see success for ourselves and our friends. We can imagine an ample supply of anything we need (including money.) All of these states, when practiced with connection, benefit the world because we essentially “send out” the vibration.

A few general examples might include seeing those who are ill as healthy, the poverty stricken as abundant, and joy in place of sadness. On a global level, we can take several moments each day to see the world with clean water, air and transportation or a fair government.

We can spend our time citing injustices and feeling fear, or we can spend our time creating a new and beautiful world. Like everything, it’s a choice. We can spend five minutes criticizing the government or envisioning a better world. The state of the inner self always depends on the choice of placement of consciousness (as does the outer world.)

As we come to understand the process of manifestation, it becomes easier to focus on positive thoughts/feelings, and “reality” responds more harmoniously.  On the positive side, the world is filled with light workers who are adept at raising their vibration and can quickly change reality by altering their thoughts/feelings or saying a simple prayer.

Connection

Notice the flow. When the physical self is connected with the soul, we experience the true self. When we connect with the inner presence, we connect with the universe and unlimited possibility. When we connect with our heart’s desires, we create them. We also send the frequency of a manifested desire to others who hold light. Light and love connect everything in our universe. When we realize the connection, we awaken.

Connection occurs through universal energy. Often, the sunlight will intensify, or light shines through the clouds. There is grace, love, and positivity in this state. Also, we receive “feelings” that are higher and more supportive than our usual state. If we move into the feelings, we live in a different, more enlightened way.

The feelings are clues about the sensation and emotion, which are connected to a manifestation. When we align with the feelings, life begins to change. If we follow our feelings into action, we create a better personal and global reality.
