The Super New Moon appears on May 7 at 10:21 pm ET, marking the still point of the lunar cycle. Energy lies deep in the earth, awaiting a new cycle of growth. The New Moon aligns with deep meditation, manifesting, and feeling the void where the universe connects with us, revealing the mysteries of the unknown.
New Moons and Full Moons tend to activate the new energies that relate to the New Age, signaling a time of awakening and change. Five planets are in Taurus, the earth sign signifying abundance, fertility, and growth. Taurus supports growth of finances, sensuality, and beauty. Sun and Moon on Taurus 18, and the Sabian Symbol is “A New Continent is Rising Out of the Ocean” referring to opportunities for expansion–a new beginning that may create enormous growth. They symbol coincides with Jupiter conjunct Uranus, which offers the potential for huge inner growth—and marks a time of many changes.
Wonderful aspects are found with the Sun and Moon. Overall, the chart encourages positive growth. It delivers stabilizing energy, which helps with grounding and calm emotions. Think of it as a brief pause or a break in the waves of accelerated change. (Many planets will change signs in the latter part of May, bringing in entirely different energies.)
Sun (life) and Moon (emotion) conjunct Venus (relationships, beauty, abundance) in Taurus speaks of the potential of harmonious relationships, unifying causes, and creating beauty in life, which includes the home, environment, and the self. Moon (emotion) conjunct Venus (beauty, feminine, relationships) brings peace and harmony into our lives; it heightens relaxation and sensuality. Sun (life, self) conjunct Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) is considered auspicious, giving optimism and wisdom along with opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. Moon (emotion) conjunct Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) bestows optimism and generosity of spirit. It encourages growth and happiness, including financial gains.
Sun sextile Saturn gives patience, perseverance, and the desire to work. Moon (emotion) sextile Saturn provides stability in personal and home life as well as emotional maturity. Sun conjunct Uranus (sudden change, quantum field) encourages attunement with the inner self and discovery of our true nature. It can also bring unexpected change, a desire for freedom, and excitement. Moon (emotion) conjunct Uranus (sudden change, quantum field) encourages flashes of intuition and insight, which may be important. It may reveal subconscious blocks and reveal the causes of unhappy emotional behavior.
Mercury (communication, electronics) in Aries is passionate, quick, and decisive. It heightens intellectual and logical skills, increasing the ability to communicate. Mercury in Aries may cause headstrong, determined thoughts that are not always in our best interest. Mercury conjunct Chiron (wounded healer) involves observation with thoughts and communication skills to achieve deeper healing. Thoughts, perceptions, and communication are moving through a shift, and we need courage and confidence to release outdated old thought patterns and perceptions.
Venus (feminine, relationships, beauty) in Taurus heightens sensuality and the power to experience the beauty of the earth. It stimulates the pleasure of material belongings as well as appreciation of art and music. Venus squares Pluto (subconscious transformation), revealing the causes of patterns and blocks associated with love—such as giving and receiving love. Through this perception, we can open to greater reception of universal and personal love.
Mars (masculine, assertion, action) in Aries is the warrior—brave and bold. It acts decisively and tends not to hesitate. Mars conjunct Neptune (illusion, mysticism) can feel delusional, restless, or hypersensitive. Mars sextile Pluto (subconscious, transformation) brings courage, will power, and determination. It increases endurance and the odds of success.
Jupiter (expansion, good luck) in Taurus rules abundance, growth, and material wealth. Jupiter conjunct Uranus (sudden change, quantum field) marks a time of change for the planet. It asks for individuality, connection with the Divine, and inner growth. Jupiter sextile Neptune (mysticism, illusion) combines positive and supportive energies. This aspect increases compassion and artistic abilities—and heightens sensitivity. It aids inner growth and efforts to improve. Jupiter trine Pluto (subconscious, transformation) brings power and influence; it heightens the ability to transform life in a positive sense.
Saturn (limitation, karma) in Pisces, a water sign symbolized by two fishes swimming in opposite directions, refers to the karma of the past 2,000 years, including the duality of humanity at large. Saturn sextile Uranus (sudden change, quantum field) gives stability, brings discipline, and creativity with skills, particularly with inventiveness and new ideas.
Uranus (sudden change, quantum field) refers to new earth, changes in the earth, and how we commune and interact with earth. (Climate change is often a topic in the news, but there is little information on creating positive change. We can create positive change by imagining what we want to experience such as clean, water, food, more trees, and less pollution.) Uranus trine Pluto (subconscious, transformation) brings a period of inner and outer evolution, which can increase our self-understanding and growth.
Neptune in Pisces rules emotion and the sea, including collective consciousness, which can range from a sea of love to the uncomfortable emotions of the lower collective. Neptune sextile Pluto (subconscious, transformation) gives magnetism, helps with higher consciousness, spiritual growth, and realizing desires in the outer world.
Pluto (subconscious, transformation) in Aquarius is retrograde. Aquarius rules electronics and their use. Personally, I think it would be wonderful to eliminate ads and return to sites that provide subjects for study and growth. Pluto retrograde indicates a time of reviewing the past, seeing where we lost our power—and realizing how to regain it.
