The Full Snow Moon appeared on February 12, 2025, at 8:53 am ET. The Snow Moon marks the beginning of a series of big planetary changes that occur in 2025 and will likely alter our consciousness as well as our way of life.
Sun (life, light) is in Aquarius, the water bearer, which prefers group endeavors and humanitarian efforts. Moon (emotion) is in Leo, a fire sign that rules the heart and personal endeavors. Both are fixed signs, making compromise and flexibility difficult.
Healing is possible at the time of the Full Moon chart through benevolent aspects with Chiron, the wounded healer. Sun (life, light) sextile Chiron (wounded healer) encourages introspection and examination of both wounds and gifts. On a higher level, wounds merge into gifts when examined and integrated through personal evolution. Moon (emotion) trine Chiron (wounded healer) brings harmonious energies for healing, deeper self-understanding, and inner growth.
Healing, change, and growth can also come from difficulties–such as a T-square between Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Uranus. Sun, Moon, and Mercury rule life, emotion, and mind, and they square Uranus, planet of sudden change and the quantum field (spiritual breakthroughs). T-squares cause pressure, which may cause strong emotions, conflicts, and change. The breakthrough comes when we move through patterns and stopping points, which means moving more deeply into heighted awareness.
Another meaningful aspect comes with Saturn (karma, the past) conjunct Neptune (illusion, mysticism), and it marks the approach of a “Genesis” moment, a new beginning, which occurs when Saturn and Neptune move into Aries. Neptune moves into Aries in March, and Saturn moves into Aries in May. Currently, both planets are in Pisces where there is lack of structure and boundaries—as well as the energies of the past age. In the next few months, Saturn will support Neptune in creating our dreams in physical form.
Additional aspects with planets – some are quite good!
Sun conjunct Mercury (thought, communication) indicates rapid, accurate thought and strengthens the mind. Moon opposition Mercury (thought, communication) causes confusion between emotion and thought with a desire for reflection. It causes confusion between the mind and feelings. (It’s not unusual to find conflicting or contradictory energy within a chart. It means we’ll likely experience both states.)
Venus (love, partnership) in Aries brings passion, fire, and confidence. Venus sextile Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) is a wonderful aspect, encouraging love, growth, and creativity. It’s an excellent time for improvement of finances and creating new relationships. Venus conjunct Neptune (illusion, mysticism) gives creative inspiration, compassion, and empathy. It heightens creativity.
Mars (male, overall energy) remains in Cancer as it has for months. It’s not completely happy in this position as it tends to overreact, take life very personally, and hold grudges. Fortunately, it moves direct on Feb. 22, and there are positive aspects with the planet. Mars trine Jupiter brings opportunities for expansion through business and physical activities. Mars sextile Uranus brings energy, innovation, and a desire to live life in a new way. It brings a strong desire for action and change.
Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) in Gemini amplifies communication, possibly through use of electronics and the internet. Jupiter square Saturn (karma, time) encourages a review of the past and growing into a new version of the self. Jupiter trine Pluto (subconscious, transformation) increases personal power, magnetism, and the desire for change and growth, including manifesting a more desirable life.
Saturn (karma, time, the past) in Pisces may involve balancing the karma of the past age. Saturn sextile Uranus gives patience and enthusiasm—and a desire for new forms of solutions and applications of work. Saturn conjunct Uranus (sudden change, quantum field) can refer to the two planets working in collaboration to expand new aspects of consciousness
Uranus, planet of change and the quantum field, sits in Taurus, and it pertains changes on earth, which may also refer to our need to protect the earth. Uranus sextile Neptune enhances personal insights and expands personal creativity. Uranus trine Pluto brings creativity, harmonious changes, and the desire for personal evolution.
Neptune (illusion, mysticism) sits in Pisces for a few more weeks, bringing the world together with emotion, ranging from lower mass consciousness to enlightened consciousness. Neptune sextile Pluto (underworld, transformation) gives opportunities for spiritual and psychological growth.
Pluto (underworld, transformation) in Aquarius will likely increase interest in electronics, space travel, and heighten group communication.
