“Litha, Goddess of Abundance” by Keli Clark

The Full Moon appears on Friday, March 18, preceding the equinox on March 20. The Full Moon chart reflects the current “weather” with a combination of beautiful, spiritual energy and chaotic aspects. Clarity is found within by deepening the connection with the inner self. According to spiritual law, our power of creating harmony and aligning with light is multiplied when many contemplate the peace of the inner world—eventually influencing the outer world.

Sun and Moon are on Pisces 28, and Lynda Hill’s Sabian symbol is “A Fertile Garden Under a Full Moon”. Fertility concerns the growth of all vegetation, including weeds, flowers, and vegetables. We tend the garden by pulling out what is unwanted. Thoughts and emotions, focused on fear or worry, and desires associated with the heart will grow equally well. We can choose what we want to cultivate.

Sun (life) in Pisces, a water sign, encourages inner work, the power of surrender and faith in the power of the All. Neptune rules Pisces, and it is elusive, dreamy, beautiful, illusory, and spiritual. Like the sea, it has few boundaries and flows everywhere. (It’s the ruling energy of this chart, which can feel confusing.)

Moon (emotion) is placed in Virgo, an earth sign, offering healing, nourishment, and the power of organization. A Grand Trine, which marks the flow of positive energy, is formed between the Moon, Pluto (subconscious, transformation), and North Node (higher group consciousness and identity). It offers a time of uniting with nature, the spirit of the earth, and physical body for nourishment and healing.

Sun conjunct Jupiter (good fortune, expansion) increases vitality, confidence, and energy. Sun conjunct Neptune (illusion, mysticism) increases sensitivity and compassion but also marks the need for stronger boundaries. It’s also a time to find our personal inner truth and seek support from angels and guides.

Moon (emotions) opposes Jupiter (good luck, expansion), heightening good feelings and generosity, but it limits or breaks healthy filters. It’s not the time for generosity to others, but it is a good time for working with others and meeting new people. Moon opposition Neptune (illusion, mysticism) increases emotion, sensitivity, and vulnerability; it also causes difficulty with reading others.

Mercury (mind, communication) is placed in Pisces with an emphasis on emotion, intuition, and feelings. Mercury prefers logic and clarity, and the sign of Pisces rules emotion and the past, making it difficult to think clearly. Mercury in Pisces works differently from the usual thought and intuition. Instead, thought comes as intuition, and it floats without strong direction. Nevertheless, this chart asks us to follow the intuition, particularly in the details of everyday life.

Mercury conjuncts Jupiter (good fortune, expansion), which gives optimism and expansion, increasing powers of communication. Mercury conjuncts Neptune (illusion, mysticism), which heightens psychic abilities and interest in spirituality. If the motive is pure, it can be very uplifting. If the motive is obscured by ego, it can lead to fear and paranoia.

Venus (feminine, love) in Aquarius prefers the unusual and intellectual conversations, and the focus is on independence and growth. Venus is conjunct Mars (masculine, assertion), continuing to create harmony between the sexes and the male/female sides of the self. Venus is conjunct Saturn, which can cause feelings of loneliness and isolation. Venus square Uranus may cause impulsiveness and drama.

Mars (male, assertion) in Aquarius isn’t comfortable for this masculine, action driven planet. The sign of Aquarius concerns higher thought and the collective. It’s a time to consider action from a new and original perspective. It increases our awareness of social injustice. Mars squares Uranus (sudden change, New Age) in Taurus, pushes for change in perspective and asks for a different, unique viewpoint of life.

Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) in Pisces adds a flow of good feelings, optimism, and universal connection. Jupiter conjuncts Neptune (illusion, mysticism), aligning our consciousness with the spiritual world.

Many positive aspects are found within the chart, which can help with opening to the spiritual world. In this chart, answers are found through intuition as opposed to logic. Many planets are in Pisces, which is water, flowing everywhere—sometimes without direction. This placement is about intuition and feeling as opposed to logic, and it’s helpful to meditate for discernment and greater understanding.

Tips

  • Think of a rainy but beautiful spring day. We can’t move through the world as we often do, but we can contemplate growth within, including the garden of life. Plants respond to our interest and feelings as does life. Consider strong thoughts and emotions as a way of communicating with the universe.
  • There are many aspects for optimism and positive energy, which lies in aspects with Jupiter (good fortune, expansion) and a Grand Trine with Moon, Pluto, and North Node.
  • We’re called to transform ourselves with spiritual energy and Venus/Mars in Aquarius, which loves change. Emotions are heightened by Venus (love) square Uranus (change, quantum field). The Moon’s trine with Pluto encourages focus and transformation from spiritual work.
  • It’s an emotional forecast with many planets in water (emotion), but emotions can be mastered—or least understood as a passing wave of energy, which peaks and falls.
  • A focus on collective energy is found through the trine with North Node (higher group consciousness), Mars (male, assertion) in Aquarius.
  • Continue holding the vision of a better world and work to manifest it through positive thoughts and energy.
