Seeking Higher Consciousness

Everything is related. When following a desire, we increase and diminish parts of life. Time is a simple example. When we delve into our spiritual practice, we take time away from a previous pursuit. When we see the beauty in nature, we discard other thoughts. (When I write this, I think of nothing else.)

Over time, the beauty grows. The spiritual practice bears flowers and gifts. Our lives begin to resemble the fabric of the inner self, and we know to “read” life by its resonance with our heart.  We are given awareness of the sensation of the inner self in the varying facets and appearances of life.

With the influx of energies, there is a shift in perception, feelings, and responses to energy. Many people are awakening and bringing more light to the planet. As awakening continues, we perceive life differently because light causes everything to move at a higher frequency.

Here are a few insights:

  1. As we become more conscious, our awareness shifts. We become aware that “reality” shifts, spins, and stirs with the state of our consciousness, which is reflected in the flow of events.
  2. We affect “life” and our lives more than we want to admit. Our lower thoughts and feelings may attract an irritable person, and higher thoughts may pull in a flow of love. (For example, the sun shines when we think a higher thought, or we receive a pleasant email from a loved one.)
  3. Consciousness connects us more deeply to all sources of information and energy. We feel life more intensely. We may feel more drawn or repelled to particular sources of information. Our higher consciousness begins to direct us more strongly.
  4. Swings in duality – the movement of emotions and thoughts – may seem stronger. When we experience the inner self, consciousness moves into a place of centeredness. It focuses on “ONE” point. Naturally, we’re more aware of the motion after a quiet experience.
  5. Increased consciousness brings awareness of our impact on our internal/external state. We begin to understand how our happiness and unhappiness respond to our internal dialog, old beliefs, and expectations. With this awareness, life shifts.
  6. “Giving” and “helping” are subtly changing. We can hold a vision or send light to anyone, but our spiritual help is balanced with the spiritual commitment and effort of the receiver. (In the Piscean Age, healers and light workers gave in a different way by pouring out energy whenever they felt led to share and help. In the Aquarian Age, we balance and gauge energy for the best effect.)
  7. During flashes of awakening, we perceive a beautiful future in a balanced world. There is a feeling of reassurance, comfort, and support. (We may wonder where it is in difficult moments, but it is how the universe shares its visions—and activates it through our light.)
  8. We begin to understand how consciousness directs overall planetary energy. And we see how shifts in personal consciousness affect our world and the world at large.

Equinox Energy – Almost Time to Move Forward

The equinox occurred on March 20. We’ll feel the energy for the next several weeks. (Chart is based on the moment of the equinox.)

With the beautiful, spring-like weather and planets placed in interesting designs, we can contemplate beauty, the dreams of the higher self, and it’s almost time to take action to create a better life. With five planets in Aries, which is appropriately symbolized by the ram, we feel the “push” to initiate action, but it’s best to wait a week or two to think about ideas thoroughly because the planets in Aries co-join the disruptive square with Uranus/Pluto.

When combined with several planets in fire, Uranus can feel combustive and can bring sudden change. It’s wise to create a strategy based on the desires of the inner self—and slowly move into this plan with a “cool” head. Along with this, we are clearing karma from the past age, past lives, and releasing trauma (Neptune, Chiron, and South Node in Pisces.) These feelings, sensations, and opportunities will extend into mid-May.

It’s important to know it’s a time of adjustment. Our feelings may change on a daily basis. We may feel life more strongly than we have in the past because of awakening. Everything feels intense when the light becomes stronger. We also feel more of the darkness and angst because everyone is becoming more intuitive. (This is also part of working through the karmic past.)

The Sun (life), Mercury (communications), Venus (beauty, love), and Uranus (quantum field, sudden change) are placed in Aries. Aries is the beginning of the zodiac when life turns in the new cycle of the year. Aries is ruled by Mars (assertion and action), and it’s a passionate fire sign, which can awaken our feelings to expand and alter the course of life. (It would be perfect except that their energy aligns with Uranus in Aries, which can make energy move in cosmic—or very strange—directions.

Mercury affects all forms of communications including internet, transportation, emails, and conversations. Mercury in Aries hastens the process in a brusque way. (Mercury rules air, and it prefers clarity and time to think deeply. Mercury in Aries simply wants action.)

Venus, the ruler of love and beauty, is also placed in Aries. She is passionate and can be compulsive with this placement. With Venus retrograde, it’s important to realize love may feel as if it is fading or aspects of life are not so exciting. It’s helpful to remember that we are loved by the universe, and love will return to our lives in a renewed form.

Mars (assertion, male energy) is placed in Taurus, an earth sign governing possessions and material goods. It also gives connection to the earth and nature, which is useful with this volatile chart. This is a calming position that helps in finding grounding and seeing the beauty of life.

Jupiter (good fortune) sits in Libra, the only air sign in the chart. Air lends clarity to thought; it helps to separate passion and beliefs from the mind. (For example, I believe this because I was raised in this way. Maybe, it’s not true.) Jupiter in Libra also helps in finding beauty, balance, and grace on the walk of everyday life.

Saturn (discipline, karma) remains in Sagittarius, continuing the emphasis on soul searching, personal discipline, and the value of the spiritual life. Neptune (mysticism), Chiron (wounded healer), and South Node (solutions, which are no longer applicable) are placed in Pisces, indicating the importance of working through the drama and karma of the past age.

Notes

  • Mars (assertion) trines Saturn, which can give insight in taking the right, disciplined action—particularly through deliberate, meditative focus.
  • Saturn (limitation) trines Uranus, hinting at progress and good fortune through spiritual discipline.
  • The cardinal cross can make life feel very tense. It’s helpful to know it’s only a feeling. It disappears when meditating and/or when connected to the inner self.
  • There is very, powerful energy for creating change. With focus, it can be employed to create big, positive shifts.
  • Continue to work with karma and negative feelings/thoughts. Remember that emotion can change through positive focus and effort.

Short & Long Term Planetary Aspects

Several short and long term aspects are found in the planetary line-up. The aspects will quicken and act as catalysts during next week’s equinox. Any event of intensity such as the full/new moon, eclipse, or equinox makes the weather more intense. We only have a few more weeks of these aspects, but they definitely exert a force.
Planetary aspects can definitely cause strange and/or profound feelings, and it’s good to explore them. In short, they won’t last forever but they definitely influence perceptions, thoughts and feelings. (Inner awareness always helps in finding solutions.)

Venus is currently retrograde in Aries, the sign that is in detriment for this planet. Venus (femininity, abundance, beauty) likes to rule through beauty, artistic balance, and the natural world. When placed in Aries, she becomes a warrior with a sword, and her job is to defend and draw boundaries about love. (This placement extends through April 15.)

(When planets are retrograde, they tell us about what is not working, where our focus needs changing, and how to make new plans for the future. Essentially, they stop “helping” for a few weeks or months, but the planets brings fresh, bright energy on their return—when moving into direct motion.)

Venus is about love, but the meaning changes when she moves into retrograde. We tend notice where there is not love in our lives – including self-love, relationships, and work. Admittedly, we have to notice the missing elements to create them, but Venus retrograde also imbues feelings of loneliness, reflection on past hurts, and a lack of hope.

Fortunately, it’s possible to use the energy to visualize a new love for life, better partnerships, and more abundance through awareness of the energy. For example, it’s useful to know where boundaries are needed, to delineate the value of friends and relationships, and notice patterns in our lives. The advantage les in knowing it’s possible to change reality by knowing what we want, imagining it clearly, and taking small actions to bring into being.

T-square and Cardinal Square

The current pressure and tension keep us in a tight grip through the T-square between Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto.  Jupiter (good fortune) sits in Libra with a focus on justice, beauty, and balance. Uranus in Aries longs to burst into the beginning of the New Age like a wild rebel, creating bursts of change here and there. Pluto is placed in Capricorn, affecting structure, the underworld, and hidden truth.

A T-square is somewhat represented by its appearance. Oppositions pull our energy in two directions, forming the top of the “T”, and squares cause tension, forming the base of the letter. In this case, Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries are in opposite signs, and they both square Pluto.  Uranus and Pluto moved into square position in 2012; it’s part of the overall weirdness of the New Age.

By adding Jupiter to the mix, the tension is heightened. Not surprisingly, the T-square began around Election Day. When we feel tension and anxiety for no particular reason, it can relate to the pressure of this aspect. It can be compounded when Sun, Moon, or Mercury change positions and alter the T-square into a cardinal square.  (Next week, more planets will join in and create a cardinal cross.) The T-square subsides in April.

Planets and South Node in Pisces

Pisces is a perfectly good sign. It’s just that it currently represents the Past Age, and the South Node placed in Pisces. The South Node of the Moon indicates the probability of attempting to solve problems with same mindset used in the past.  The unlikelihood of finding a solution is compounded by the placement of Neptune (illusion, idealism) and Chiron (wounded healer) in Pisces.

Pisces ruled the Past Age, which includes emotional turmoil, karma, and illusion. Neptune in Pisces can ignite the imagination and connect our soul with beauty, but it can also bring us together through the lower emotions of mass consciousness. Its illusive nature can hide the truth and slow our progress. It also engages our intuition and imagination, which can be used in a lower or higher sense.

Chiron in Pisces offers an opportunity to clear karma through new actions, thoughts, and realizations, particularly in the arena of emotions. But the South Node encourages repetition of past patterns, making it difficult to see our way out of the emotional fog. It can take longer than usual to work through a karmic pattern because it’s difficult to “see” and perceive the “truth”.

With these three planets placed in Pisces, it causes difficulty in creating a clear path to a “higher” future. It can feel confusing to discern between intuition and illusion when emotions feel intense and/or when we’re moving through old patterns and limitations. We’ll have a bit more clarity when the pattern changes in May.

Overall, we’re experiencing tension, old emotions/patterns, and a time to reflect on love. It’s helpful to know that the emotions, tension, and angst are part of passing phase—and we can always travel into the inner self where light and love abound.

Dealing with the Shift

The important part of the energy lies in the urgency to follow the heart. The heart longs for love and adventure; it is bold and true. It longs to express the substance of the soul.  The heart holds us in connection with all that is real and true.

When our actions and work come from the heart, life changes. Love radiates to everyone in our field. When many people do this (even for a few minutes), the outer world alters. (it’s impossible to feel the oscillation.)

Here are a few tips:

  1. The clearing process involves the lower mind and emotions. We may hear patterns or experience feelings from long ago. Ask to delete and clear the pattern and feeling. Ask to connect with the higher self. (As the patterns leave, new energy will take their place. It’s helpful to imagine yourself from a different perception such as living life from a happier perspective.)
  2. The acceleration process bestows a longing for expansion, the dream of a better life. Ask for a clear vision and feeling. Focus on it often and imagine living in this space of being. (Take time to define peace and happiness. This simple act brings them into your life.)
  3. It’s possible to move out of oscillation and the roar of mass consciousness (anger and fear) by centering in the inner self. By focusing on the inner self, it’s impossible to feel anything other than stillness and/or love.
  4. Sometimes, you feel surprisingly heavy or weighed down by life. You may feel it’s impossible to move through a character flaw or create the next change in life. Likely, your thought or feeling engaged mass consciousness, and you are feeling many people with the same problem. It’s helpful to reflect on a time when you feel light, and life felt easier.
  5. Physical tiredness comes and goes with the shift. It’s normal to feel tired when energy changes. Rest when you can. Take advantage of energetic periods. Visualize yourself with more energy whenever possible and recall periods of time when you felt healthy and vital. (Nature helps a great deal with physical tiredness. The earth and night sky radiate energies for healing.)
  6. We may feel the shift in brief moments when life expands in a beautiful wave. There is a longing for more experience and sensation—the widening of the wave of life. These feelings come and go like waves of emotion or ripples on a lake. They are indicators of greater awakening.
  7. Deeply engage when you experience lighter, happier feelings. It’s best to refrain from sharing the feeling with friends. Contemplate your life, future, and sharing your gifts. (Use these times to powerfully create a vision of a better life and see your gifts expanding.)
  8. Smile when life is difficult. Move past irritation and lower thoughts. (We all have them!) Meditate on pink light and ask to see the beauty in life.
  9. Choose 2 or 3 tasks to express the heart on a daily basis. You may feel surprised at the outcome. (Your energy will soar if you’re truly aligned with the heart–and acting on intuition.)

Full Moon Forecast: Reflection and Action

The full moon appears on Sunday, March 12 with Sun in Pisces (water) and Moon in Virgo (earth); Sun (life) in Pisces prefers a mystical, vague, loving outlook on life, and Moon (emotions) in Virgo loves precision, perfectionism, and detailed vision in the everyday world. The Moon and North Node (spiritual aspiration) are placed in Virgo, which involves focus on practicality and a strong interest in daily life. Moon trines Pluto (underworld, transmutation), adding power to lift ourselves to a higher level.

With four planets in water and three in fire, this chart can bring steamy, hot energy that clouds our vision, or water and fire can combine to create new earth – like lava flowing up from the ocean floor to condense as islands in a tranquil sea. There’s emphasis on taking action, reflecting on life by deciding to release old patterns and thoughts, which equate to our limiting beliefs, and working with schedules and routines.

Mercury (communication) sits in Pisces, and it conjuncts the Sun, enhancing the mystical beauty in life. It is also emotional in this sign, meaning it’s easy to communicate our feelings when we are tapped into the inner self. (Water imbues strong emotions.) Again, it’s important to observe how we communicate the substance of our lives to others—and to take a look at how we represent our experience to others.

Venus (beauty, love, physical life) is retrograde in Aries. When Venus moves retrograde, relationships can seem more difficult, and communications may go awry. Venus in Aries is direct, quick, and impulsive with a love for action. In the retrograde position, it’s wise to wait before acting, particularly with Venus and Jupiter in opposition. (Both planets rule pleasure and beauty in life. When they are not in harmony, it’s best to reflect before taking action.)

Mars (male, assertion) is placed in Taurus, a lovely, earth sign, which gives balance to the chart. It can bring determination and strengthen the will. The placement slows life down a bit, but it also gives patience, stability, and an opportunity to savor the natural beauty in life. There is a lovely trine with North Node in Virgo that can aid with maintaining physical order and details of both work and home.

Jupiter (good fortune, expansion) sits retrograde in Libra, and it asks for reflection and gratitude for the “good” in life. All retrogrades involve reflection and review on the substance of our lives—and, with Jupiter, inner growth comes from “seeing” and acknowledging the good. Jupiter retrograde in Libra also teaches about service and the importance of aiding others.

Jupiter is opposite Uranus in Aries, which rules sudden changes and new beginnings through spiritual impulses. The desire for harmony and beauty can alternate with the need for big changes and new beginnings. Observe both feelings and make the best choice.

Saturn (time, karma, limitation) is in Sagittarius, providing a focus on the importance of spiritual devotion and discipline. Sun, Moon, and Mercury square Saturn, providing tension in life, emotion, and communications. It’s not unusual to feel tension in these challenging, changing times, and, often, the lesson is as simple as listening to the inner self—and acting on the information.

Uranus (awakening, sudden change) continues to square Pluto as part of the changing times. Venus and Jupiter also square Pluto (subconscious, transmutation), indicating the need to look beyond the pleasure in the moment—and to use the will to create a new life.

Overall, the chart indicates the need to move through old habits and familiar ways of life—to embrace the new and take a step forward. There’s also an emphasis on reviewing life while moving into the mysticism of love. By taking these steps, we embrace the inner self and step out of the tension of a newly, forming world.

Sabian Symbols, based on the writings of Lynda Hill

Sun is on Pisces 23, “A Materializing Medium Giving a Séance.”  Mediums can heard the unseen and unheard world. They pull in messages from the vibrational field. Materialization refers to the ability to pull energy from the invisible world into tangible form. (On a higher level, we can do this with messages and direction from the inner self—particularly when we take action and apply by taking action and applying reflective thought. By seeing and feeling “things” with the mind, we can pull them into physical form.)

Moon sits on Virgo 23, “A Lion-Tamer Rushes Fearlessly into the Circus Arena.” A lion-tamer controls and wills the action of a wild animal or beast. It takes courage and concentration for the lion and trainer to act in unison. It requires both action and strength of will.

Mercury is placed at Pisces 28, “A Fertile Garden under the Full Moon.” This is a beautiful symbol, indicating growth, fertility, and abundance. Mercury rules the mind, so it suggests that we can benefit from positive, happy thoughts as well as reflection on a prosperous, harmonious future.

Venus is retrograde on Aries 12, “A Flock of Wild Geese.” Think of a flock of wild geese, making beautiful shapes with their flight patterns. It is reminder of the power of the collective, of moving through the air by focusing on a singular destination.

Mars sits on Taurus 2, “An Electrical Storm Illuminates the Heavens and Forests.” Think of lightning and thunder, the change of temperature, and the sudden illumination of the world. It can refer to flashes of insight and leaps in consciousness or the simple change in atmosphere, which accompanies a storm.

Manifestation, A Key to Self-Discovery

Manifestation is part of awakening. We become aware of how we create our lives as we grow in consciousness. (Everyone is already manifesting, but it’s mainly unconscious.) If we imagine a loop of tape playing and replaying, we might wonder why it continues to play, or we might decide to change the tape. That’s the basic substance of manifestation.

When we realize that we have the power to change the tape, then we alter the direction of our lives. If this realization comes with awakening (and a higher level of vibrations), we know it’s important to create a life in alignment with the inner self. As we expand into light and love, we naturally want to create and experience more “good” in life. Ultimately, it’s beneficial to ourselves and the people around us because everyone benefits from a higher frequency.

Here are a few tips:

  1. Meditation is one of the keys to the realization of the heart’s desire. It brings alignment with the inner self, which quietens thoughts and stills emotions. It also gives connection to the universe, the biggest source of love and light.
  2.  Manifestation alters our perception. It teaches focus on the positive sensations and images of what we want to create. When we focus on the good in life and see the positive, we move into higher vibrations where more possibility and opportunity exist. By focusing the mind, we learn to alter our perceptions.
  3. Many of our perceptions are based on experience and belief, which occur as part of our encounters with life. It doesn’t mean that life always responds in this way, or the outcome never changes. It simply implies that we need to see and feel life differently–and believe that we can change it in a positive sense.
  4. Working with manifestation teaches discernment. Over time, we learn the value of “things” lies in their resonance with our heart. If our desire doesn’t align with the heart or our inner self, it won’t bring joy. But repeated experiences teach the difference between the desires of the inner and outer being.
  5. Focusing on a positive vision teaches control of lower emotions and thoughts. Part of any manifestation lies in the substitution of one thought and image for another. (We can’t change and/or control everything, but we can influence a great deal. Also, we can change our emotions and thoughts.)
  6. The practice teaches a great deal about inner power as well as the changes that occur when we connect with the universe and the inner self. We can use the same practice to alter other people’s lives–and the world. (Everyone and everything is happier in a higher frequency.)
  7. The heart space expands when we step into creating the vision of the inner self. We feel more love and peace. And the world becomes more beautiful.

Gentle Insights into the Self

  1. You’re more powerful than you think. Your feelings and thoughts affect the space and people around you. When you consciously direct your thoughts in a positive way, it changes the flow of the events. The best way to create conscious change is through the inner self and connection with the universe.
  2. You create a better future by believing in your power to do so. The potential becomes greater when you practice visualization and gain awareness of your thoughts and feelings. By seeing your inner world with a different light, you learn how to envision for the outer world. When many people hold a positive vision for the outer world, it’s possible to create amazing change.
  3. When you experience a sense of well-being and soft happiness, it helps everyone around you. Everyone is drawn to this type of energy field. Practice recalling memories of feeling well, happy, and relaxed. You automatically pull these emotions into the future by focusing on them. (Focusing involves concentration and energy. When you place your energy on a particular point of consciousness, it expands.)
  4. A part of you is always connected. You may not always feel your connection, but it’s always there. You can meditate more, ask for help, call on your guides or angels, and recall feeling of inner connection. If you stay with your practices, you’ll find your inner self. (Everyone moves in and out of this space in a given day.)
  5. Many people believe a very special group of people were called here for the group awakening. If you are awakening, you probably have special talents and gifts. (It’s helpful to know you can focus on your inner light and help others—regardless of your livelihood or life direction.) Everyone in this group works with personal problems, which likely involve clearing global karma or holding light for others. Your small efforts help far more than you think, and your light counts a great deal.

Last Quarter Forecast

The moon moves into its last quarter, a time of developing abilities and expanding existent projects. It’s also important to consider aspects of life that require release, surrender, and faith. Additionally, this phase gives time to gather energy and focus before the solar eclipse/new moon on Sunday, Feb. 26.

We are moving through the last vestiges of the Piscean Age, which are exacerbated by Neptune in Pisces. Astrologer M. Kelly Hunter refers to the current global fear as “a mass hypnotic trance” that is transcended by focusing on the wave of universal love, which includes everything and everyone. (Next week’s eclipse/new moon intensely features Pisces; it’s a good time to rewrite the past.)

Sun (life) is currently in Aquarius and moves into Pisces on Feb. 18. Currently, Mercury (communication) in Aquarius conjuncts (close to) the sun, bringing in new waves of higher thoughts and a stronger ability to connect to the divine mind. Mercury is currently trine (harmoniously placed) with Jupiter (good fortune)  in Libra, bringing balance and harmony to the thinking process. (Both signs are in air, which can give space for inspired thought.)

This chart is hot! Venus, Mars, and Uranus sit in Aries, the fire sign, which rules beginnings. This placement ignites a tendency to make big changes and take physical action, but it’s not the right time. It’s far better to contemplate desires and consider their source—ego or inner self?

Mars (male energy, assertion) sits opposite to Jupiter (good fortune) in Libra, indicating strong actions can take us away from the benevolent forces of the big planet. Jupiter is also retrograde, slowing success and good fortune. (The other planets are direct, so it’s not a huge influence.) Jupiter also opposes Uranus in Aries, meaning to wait on taking action with spiritual intuitions.

Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus square (create tension) with Pluto, representing the underground, the subconscious, and transmutation. These aspects are not easy—and may represent some type of crisis or change for many people. On the other hand, staying centered in crisis is part of mastery.

Saturn (time, limitation) in Sagittarius offers help with fear and obstacles by encouraging our ability to tap into inner (and earned) wisdom. There is almost always a solution if we look deeply enough into our own being and sincerely ask for help.

Positive Aspects

Every chart has its own meaning and balance. There are some very beautiful trines included in this forecast.

  • Sun trines Jupiter for the next two days, giving insight into problems—and possibly solutions, which come in a very beneficial way. It’s a harmonious aspect, featuring inspired thought and the higher mind.
  • Mercury trines Jupiter, increasing the benefit of Sun trine Jupiter. It may be possible to meditate and hold the “feeling” or visual of a solution in our minds, then experience it in physical form. There is a special clarity with both trines occurring simultaneously. Or it may simply be a “gift” of seeing a better future, which we cannot yet completely perceive.
  • Saturn trines Uranus, offering an opportunity to transcend karma by contemplating and acting on concepts, which exist in the quantum field. For example, we may perceive how energy affects form or increases healing, or we may receive divine help from our angels and guides.
