Begin with a strong feeling of fortitude. You can do this. Now, create an image of living in the desired reality. Do something in the reality. Listen to song, dance around the room, enjoy your new “person”, plan a trip, or count your money. Smile and focus on a joyous feeling after completing the meditation. Everything is working for you.
Meditate for a few minutes every day. Connect with the universe and connect with your heart. Make sure your vision is leading you in the right direction. If so, take connection deeper.
Take one small action every day—preferably around 5-10 minutes for the first week. You can add time during the following week. Presumably, you’re working in a specific direction, so choose a task that will lead you to change. (Maybe, it’s staying calmer when your work needs a lot of focus or energy. It could revolve around exercise and diet. In this case, add a healthy meal or snack and add 10 minutes of exercise.) Compliment yourself for making the effort. (You rock, right?)
Patterns of old behavior and avoidance will always surface, particularly when you’re changing your life through spiritual work. It’s how you rewrite the energy of the ego that loves the old patterns and comfort zone. To change your feelings, you must rewrite your thoughts and emotions. (Thoughts and feelings can come from other people, past lives, or childhood. Often, they are not real. Observe, wait, and consider rewriting your feelings. How would you feel if you didn’t react or changed your behavior? Often, the answer is “free”.)
Discern between the heart and the outer self. When making a decision or choice, ask if the answer comes from the inner self (heart) or the outer self. It takes time to read answers correctly, and it’s helpful to notice when the answers are almost always correct. (You will usually have “areas” that are more advanced than others.)
It’s very helpful to remember the most important reason for the work lies in seeking awakening—the lovely feeling of connection with the universe, the rush of intuition, and the alignment of the soul with the physical world. Yes, you can create a whole, new reality, but you also create a better connection with who you truly are—the most beautiful and light qualities of yourself.
