7 Ways to Increase Your Inner Power

These are simple steps, which work well with practice. Practicing on a daily basis is the best way of finding inner power, but you can jump in with any of these exercises.

1) Believe in your power to connect with the infinite “good”, which is sometimes known as the akashic field. It is larger than you, holds the answers, and can connect you into a wonderful place. It’s linked with your inner power to change your life. (Changes do not always come as you wish, but they do always create a better life for you.)

2) Recall times of connection when life flowed into place, and you felt a marvelous energy lifting you above your “normal” experiences. When you are in this place, you locate new answers, people react differently, and the process of life takes on new meaning. There is a sensation of fulfillment. (You don’t have to find it “now.” Simply meditating on the feeling can bring in a change.)

3) Meditate outdoors. Nature feels the connection and amplifies it because she is in harmony with the divine. It’s particularly beautiful when the trees and wind move with your breath. It brings a lovely, peaceful feeling.

4) Visualize what you want to experience as opposed to what you don’t want. It’s human nature to focus on the negative which only creates more of the undesirable. It’s fun to think of yourself as a superman/woman with the power to shift the direction of life from negative to positive.  It’s possible to alter your life through visualization–and to bring your dreams into physical form.

You can also focus on the feeling of your soul (happiness, joy, comfort) and project this into the present and the future. Your soul knows what you should experience and feel. Besides, few things feel better than this.

5) Change your thoughts and emotions. Every problem is surrounded by repetitive and negative thoughts. (It’s easy to know when you’re experiencing them because your energy level changes.) Repetitive thoughts are accompanied by reactions. It’s important to create a new response. You can speak from your heart, ask what you can learn from the situation, or ask the universe to help you see it differently.

6) See the beauty in life. Take time to slow down, connect with yourself, and focus on finding the beauty and rhythm of life. When you become aware that life moves with a specific rhythm, which can be energizing, you align with the universe. When you align with the universe, the current experience of life will unfold and expand.

7) The last step is a bit different. All of these exercises alter your frequency to a higher place, but you can also become totally present. You can put your awareness in your body, observe your thoughts and feelings, and give thanks for the human experience.

Everything on earth passes through cycles. We feel highs and lows as well as positives and negatives. When we accept this as the human experience, it often fades away. It’s also helpful to learn when your lower emotions and thoughts pass through your consciousness. When you understand the catalyst, the length of time, and cycle, patterns change more quickly and take on a new, higher form.

Rewriting Your Thoughts to Change Your Life

There’s a magical equation for thought. When we change our thoughts, we alter our energy field. Positive thoughts expand it; negative thoughts contract it. (Consider quantum physics experiments when photons followed the observer’s belief in outcome. They changed their path when another person–with a different belief–was added to the experiment.)

Changing our thoughts is part of how we reach a higher frequency–and how the world alters.Thoughts alter emotions–and the direction of our lives. When we’re feeling positive, life feels quite different. Sometimes, we soar.
1) We have about 50,000 thoughts per day, and most of our thoughts are repetitive. (We discover this when meditating.) Through gaining awareness of our thoughts, we can determine their nature. Repetitive themes have particular stimuli, phases of time, and a specific energy. They contribute to a lowered state of vibration and energy. A higher state of being is associated with positive thoughts.
2) For better results in life, think positive, happy thoughts. Thoughts vibrate out into the world. Think of thoughts as tiny messages that are received by individuals and the universe. People receive the information and react accordingly. The universe energizes whatever we think because it’s the object of our focus.

3) Everyone has negative feelings and thoughts, which become more obvious on the spiritual path. As the focus increases, negative thoughts become more noticeable. Try one of the following techniques to return to a more positive state of mind. Focus on the sensation of the hands and feet. Anchoring in physicality fades out negative thoughts.  Try to visualize the opposite of the initial thought. Negative thoughts often involve patterns, which keep us from achieving our desires and dreams. A positive visual pulls the energy away from the negative thought/pattern. (Take an action step whenever possible.)

4) Accept the situation, person, or energy involved in the negative thought. Think one good thought about the situation and energy. (At least, I am alive and well.) Think about the feeling of the resolution of the problem. How does it feel?

5) Notice the particular stimuli that produce negative thoughts. Feelings, places, and repetitive tasks and/or situations may invoke negative thoughts. If this is the case, try to change the focus of consciousness. Simply noticing the stimulus is part of becoming more aware of the pattern. (Accept the thought and quiet the mind.)

6) Think about a time when life was happy, and everything moved in a positive direction. Hold this feeling/visual and imagine that it’s happening NOW. (Positive thoughts pull in positive events, and they alter the biochemistry of the body.)

7) Thoughts often come from other people and/or mass consciousness. Ask if the thought comes from either of these sources. If so, ask the universe to break the connection and create alignment with the inner self. Repeat several times.

8)  Raise your vibration. Focus on the heart and imagine love flowing through it. Pull the problem back into the center of the body. Focus on feeling centered. We tend to project problems outwardly, which exaggerates them.

9) Pull the energy away from the situation and back into the self. (We tend to energize problems by thinking about them and sending energy to them.) If the mind sticks on a certain person, think about their good qualities. If the mind stays attuned to a negative situation, think about a positive outcome. When thoughts concern the self, change them to a positive reflection. (Ask if there is a lesson.)

10)  Send love (pink light) to negative thoughts. The lower part of the self, which generates negative thoughts, will receive it. Love cancels negativity and darkness. Believe in its power. Call on angels and guides. Ask for help in seeing life in a different way. Ask your angels to clear negative thoughts and receive positive input in their place.

Working with Light

Part of inner work involves finding your inner light and voice (intuition.) It’s easiest to begin by meditating and focusing on the heart, which connects you to a place of infinite light and love.

  1. At first, you may to “imagine” sending light and/or love. It takes time and practice to bring about results with  the invisible, spiritual world. If you continue, you will feel the energy and know it’s working.
  2. Focus on your heart and feel pink light (love) flowing into you. You can also imagine a pink cloud around you, which delivers unconditional love from the universe. Breathe pink light for 2 or 3 minutes. Feel the love.
  3. Send light to yourself and future opportunities. For opportunities, imagine a gentle beam of light as it illuminates a specific time in space–or see a door opening to a new way of life. (With problems, imagine the problem as a shape like a cloud. Send light to the particles of the cloud and see the cloud dissolving. Part of the trick of this exercise is sending light as opposed to thinking about the future or problem.)
  4. Use light to find answers and solutions. (You don’t have to know the answer.) See the light shining on the future, and you are experiencing joy and relief as a result. (It’s interesting, but I believe every light worker helps in solving problems for many other people by working on their own lives. It pushes the solution out in the “bowl” of larger consciousness.)
  5. Send light to any tired, achy parts of the body. Ask to see your body as healthy and whole. “See” your body moving easily and freely.
  6. You can send light and love to other people. You can imagine that their problems are solved, or they feel happier and healthier.
  7. Focus on your desired future and see it as a strong image. Send light to it and imagine living in this place of consciousness. (The light corrects our thoughts and visualizations. It also awakens our intuition.)

Full Pink Moon Forecast

The Pink Full Moon appears on April 29. The moon is called “pink” as a reference to flowers and spring. Fortunately, it also brings the best forecast in several weeks. The Moon (inner self, emotions) is placed in Scorpio, a water sign, which benefits growth and fruition in the garden of life. With Sun (outer life) in Taurus, it’s a very fertile time.  (It’s literally one of the best moons for transplanting and germinating seeds as well as expanding dreams into physical form.)

Sun trines Saturn (karma, limitation), and this aspect increase enthusiasm and confidence with worldly and inner pursuits. It’s always a boon to feel pleased about overcoming personal limitations! Sun opposes Jupiter (expansion) in Scorpio. Our desire to enjoy nature and build outwardly in the physical world can conflict with Moon and Jupiter’s message to dig deeper and see beneath the surface.

The Moon is lovely, forming a sextile with Saturn (karma, limitation), which boosts our emotional state when overcoming patterns and emotions. It conjuncts (close) Jupiter, expanding our ability to see through illusion and find truth. Moon trines (harmonious) Neptune (mysticism, illusion), which connects us with the unseen world, increases intuition, and our perception of beauty. (This is a powerful moon with many aspects to lift our emotions and help us to see the beauty and possibility in life.)

Mercury (thought, communication) in Aries squares (tension) Saturn (limitation, karma) and Pluto (power, subconscious). The focus on learning the best way of communicating continues. It’s helpful to observe reactions relating to patterns, tiredness, and lack of connection with the self. (Much time and work is needed to learn to speak and act from the heart; it’s a soul lesson.)

Venus (love, feminine) squares Neptune (illusion, mysticism), which can accentuate and make the beauty of life more intense. (It can help with poetry, writing, and art.) It can also cause confusion with discerning between reality and truth, particularly with relationships.

Mars (male, action) is retrograde, which can bring feelings of tiredness, making it more important to develop or stay with positive, physical regimens. Mars squares (tension) Uranus, and this aspect can create impulsive action. Mars conjuncts Pluto (subconscious, transformation), which gives a strong desire for action. (Think twice before acting whenever possible.)

Jupiter (good fortune, expansion) trines Neptune, which lifts our spirits with a feeling of optimism and hope.  Jupiter sextiles Pluto (subconscious, transformation), and this can bring positive events associated with changes in life.

Uranus remains square Pluto, but the aspect is weakening. Uranus will move into Taurus on May 15, and we’ll enter a new cycle of awakening.

Notes:

  • Overall, it’s a positive chart, encouraging change and growth. Two types of change are accentuated. One is through transformation, the creation of new life. The second concerns the enjoyment of nature and putting thoughts into physical form. (Think about a garden and the process of adding, trimming, and moving plants. It’s part intuition, planning, and physical work.)
  • Moon and Jupiter in Scorpio touch on the value of introspection, states of transition such as birth and death, and the inherent mysteries of the unseen world. They can aid in understanding the relationship between energy, events, and outcomes.
  • The energy is intense, positive, and uplifting. It’s an excellent time for focus on manifestation. Plan to make extra time for meditation and visualize your desires. Take a small action if possible.
  • Some of the squares with Mercury (communication), Mars (action), and Pluto (transformation, subconscious) remain, but they are separating. In other words, they are becoming weaker and exerting less influence–or stress.
  • With Mars in retrograde – a two month cycle – it’s particularly important to maintain a good diet and exercise routine. Mars retrograde decreases physical energy.
  • Sun and Moon make positive aspects with Saturn (karma, limitation), which can create breakthroughs with patterns and limitations in life.
  • Aspects with Neptune (mysticism, illusion) can help in seeing the beauty and hope in life. Dreams may become more vivid, and intuition may increase.
  • Chiron (wounded healer) is in Aries, asking for awareness about patterns that may contribute to wrong action–or actions not in the alignment with the inner self.

7 Tips for Manifesting

1) Everyone is already manifesting. The first step is realizing how your thoughts, emotions, and visual imagery affect your life. (You can look at the positive and negative aspects of your life.) Meditation naturally alters the flow of visualization as well as the direction of your thoughts and emotions. It softens negative emotions and opens the heart to love. Conscious visualization activates the energy needed to create a desire.

2) You become more powerful when you consistently meditate and actively visualize. Your meditation and visualization practices actually direct the particles of energy around you into form. (When we don’t consciously direct energy, it takes the form of your lower thoughts.) Your thoughts and emotions take form more quickly and easily when you meditate. You also accumulate or store energy, which makes it easier to navigate through life.

3) Your desires come from a higher source. This higher source (God or the universe) wants you to have prosperity, abundance, love, vitality, and a greater spiritual connection. Creating the positive in your life is part of stepping into your true identity. If you are consistently meditating, you learn how love is the magical substance, which transforms your life–and the world.

4) Creating what you want or desire often means “seeing” the opposite of your current experience. For example, if you are unhappy in a particular area of life, you must see the exact opposite. If you experience financial loss, you see financial opportunities and gain. If you are broken-hearted, you visualize love coming from all directions in life. (It’s not enough to simply see it. You must feel and embrace it. You make the subjective experience more real than your actual experience.)

5) Light vibrates at a higher level than “real” life. The rules are different in the quantum field. Lost objects reappear in strange places. Money manifests. You can grow younger, and opportunities appear from nowhere.  The point is not asking how. Trust in the light and universal power. (You don’t need to know how. Stay with practice and act when prompted from the inner self.)

6) When you want to give up, you’re probably close to manifesting your desire. There is an energetic rule regarding manifestation. It takes a tremendous effort to manifest the last 5-10% of a desire. People often see success in the early phases, and they feel encouraged in the middle phase. They wonder if it will come into fruition in the last phase. It’s very important to persevere through the last phase. It’s the most difficult step. It requires a great deal of energy, but it is always worth it. And you learn it’s possible to endure through this phase, which typically seems to last forever!

7) After your desire manifests, you will feel happy and relieved. There is a temptation to put aside the spiritual work — to rest, and revel in the results. (Don’t give in.) Actually, it is the most important time to renew your spiritual practice because manifestation is ultimately about drawing closer to the universe and its secrets. Make the realization that happiness, which comes from the inner self, is greater than any material achievement.

Three Important Points

  1. Your overall energy, consciousness, and intent (placement of focus) influence your manifestation. For example, focusing intently on a desire is helpful. It works much better if you consistently work on creating higher vibrations such as love, kindness, and positive feelings.
  2. It’s also important to align your emotions with the desired outcome. Specific situations can lower our vibrations and invoke negative emotion. Overcoming negative emotional states is part of creating anything. (It’s okay to feel negative emotion. Just learn to work your way out of it.)
  3. Learning to see and feel your life in a different way creates change as well as eliciting help from the universe.

Find the Light

Light and love are always the answer. They hold the highest vibrations on the planet. If we call on the light, the universe answers. But it’s easier to access “light” through specific techniques.

Light responds differently with specific situations and meditations. These brief exercises work well for a variety of problems, including receiving more enlightenment and understanding. When we see and feel life differently, it often alters into a higher vibration—and brings more positive outcome.

“Real” love feels unconditional, soft, and centered. It brings healing, answers, and gentle self-motivation. It helps in seeing the good in the self and others. It is like looking through a beautiful, rainbow lens with a heart, which feels uplifted and calm. All of the exercises will help in finding this place.

Here are a few tips for working with the Inner Self.

  1. Come to center and find inner self on a daily basis. Meditation helps in finding the true self. From this place, wisdom, self-love, and peace flow. The answer is in the center; it feels simple and true when you find it. (It’s easiest to call in the light by becoming still. It’s helpful to pull inward to feel the inner self. )
  2. Put your attention on happiness. Happiness—like all inner states—requires attention and contemplation. (It’s actually a habit.) Notice all of the things, which bring happiness in your life. Listen to your voice to see if it conveys happiness. Notice your feelings when you look at objects, read emails, or travel short distances. Make a conscious effort to expand and find happiness throughout the day.
  3. Peace acts like a river; it eases and soothes emotion. There are no thoughts when we align with peace, only stillness. Imagine experiencing peace before/after others attempt to pull us into drama. (As our energy level heightens, others try to pull you into their drama. By detaching from their drama and visualizing a happy outcome, we can return to place of peace.
  4. Know that life moves in a cyclical pattern, marked by highs and lows. The challenge lies in finding and observing the pattern, altering emotions, and making “center” or the true self more important than the feelings and situation.
  5. Conflicting thoughts comprise part of spiritual growth. It’s how we put ourselves together and resolve the many parts of the self. When the answer comes, it will be simple. It will resonate with the inner self. Until this time comes, notice the feelings. It’s okay to feel two, conflicting emotions and/or thoughts. Eventually, the thoughts do bring resolution and wholeness.
  6. Pull the mind away from upsetting thoughts and situations. Return to the heart. Practice meditation to return to center, then visualize a positive outcome in a place of stillness.
  7. Know the process is working, and the universe wants to help. While many of these tips and exercises are not logical, they follow spiritual law. Our visualizations thoughts, and emotions alter the course of life because they invoke—and the most  powerful part of our inner being.

Working with the Outer Self

  1. You can also use light with the self who interacts in the physical world. (This is actually how you act on the inner self’s insights.) You can begin by seeing success in your endeavor and follow it with a tangible step. Every step counts, and they add up.)
  2. All new work in the outer world requires courage and persistence. You’re following your intuition, and you may not know exactly how to move in the right direction. Decide on a task, see in fruition, and take a chance.  (Any response is always a positive answer–whether it seems like it or not.)
  3. Overcoming fear and resistance is part of the challenge. You (and everyone else) have patterns and blocks. Overcoming them is part of spiritual success. Sometimes, you simply feel the fear and go forward.
  4. Find a knowledgeable person to help with your endeavor. It saves time, effort, and energy.
  5. Focus on small tasks by creating a  visual or feeling of your desirable outcome. When you feel doubt or hesitation, return to your image and feeling. The images and feelings surrounding your desires come partially from the universe, which will come to your aid if you are consistent in invoking it through your thoughts, images, and placement of consciousness. Love yourself for making this effort.

Quantum Change

Less than a century ago, people lived without electricity. Twenty years ago, the internet came into form. The New Age brought lasers, healing with sound/light, and quantum physics.

The New Age is also bringing a new understanding of frequency. Max Planck said, We have no right to assume that any physical laws exist, or if they have existed up until now, that they will continue to exist in a similar manner in the future.”  (Physical reality consists of particles vibrating at a low rate. The low rate of frequency makes objects appear real and solid.)

If we vibrate in harmony with an ideal, an image connected to the soul, or higher truth, the universe responds. Higher frequencies such as light alter reality. The frequency makes “reality”—physical law—respond in an entirely, different way. It’s how small miracles take place.

  1. From a higher level, we can say our soul or inner self is the source of light. When we connect to the inner self, we receive more light. Meditation is connection to source. By connecting to the inner self, we contact a greater source of light within the self—as well as the power of the universe.
  2. When we hold a visualization, which is connected to the inner self, along with positive emotion, the universe amplifies the “visual.” This alignment brings in higher vibrations, which create a stronger, more positive frequency. If we persist with the frequency, reality changes.
  3. The result of the visual aligns with dominant emotions and thoughts—and the substance of the visual. (It can take practice and experimentation.) It’s normal to revise the visual several times as we encounter aspects of it in reality. We often find the visual by discarding old thoughts and beliefs while experimenting with different ways of seeing and feeling life. (it’s how we learn what we truly want—and what we don’t.)
  4. When we alter the energy field with higher, positive perceptions, we begin to live in alignment with the inner self and the universe, which frees us from limiting aspects of physical reality.
  5. With practice, we can create these shifts for others by use of the will. After creating a shift several times, we know the right position of the mind, emotions, spirit, and body. We repeat the technique by using the will to hold the energy in right space.

NOTE: Our limiting beliefs about time and space—as well as the goodness of the world—often limit the outcome of a visualization technique. With time, practice, and right technique, we move into a brighter space, which allows bigger and better manifestations in life.

Blue Moon: Love and Karma

In folklore, Blue Moons confer abundance, fertility, and good luck. (Hold a coin or flower in your hand, look at the moon, and make a wish to experience more of these three, happy states.) Blue moons actually occur when there are two moons in one month, and the Full Moon appears just before Easter on Saturday, March 31 at 8:36 am. (It is also the sap moon, referring to the time when trees awaken.)

Typically, the Full Moon before Easter is a time of rebirth, which includes resurrection of the “true” parts of self and life, but this moon presents challenges. It presents difficulty and karma with a T-square, which can cause feelings of heaviness, but the chart also offers answers through the auspices of unconditional love. Of course, we are the only people who can make the choice in the moment. (The higher forms of love transmute a great deal.)

Sun (outer life) and Mercury (communications) are conjunct in Aries, conferring the fiery qualities of passion and action. Moon in Libra indicates the right direction for emotions—and the importance of keeping them focused on good, balanced, and beautiful feelings.

The T-square is a bit like two geological plates bumping into one another with an additional plate on top applying pressure. It consists of squares and oppositions, and none of these are easy. But every T-square offers an escape valve. In this case, Venus (love, beauty, material goods) offers the answer.

Venus is love, and its placement in Taurus points to the way. Venus in Taurus is about the beauty of form in life. It’s about loving nature, the physical format of life, and the presence of everything beautiful in the world. We can love people for who they are. (Underneath the structure of personality and ego, there is an indistinguishable light in everyone.) We can love life for the opportunity of expansion, growth, and learning—and we can love our difficulties for the growth they offer. (If we keep the mind and heart on love, life should change positively with emphasis on creating love and beauty in the material world.)

Venus forms a beneficial trine with Mars (male, action), softening the effect of both Mars/Pluto, the warrior aspect of the world. Venus also harmonizes with Saturn (limitation, karma) through a lovely trine, expanding our ability to express beauty, art, and material goods in a beneficial form.

Jupiter (good fortune, expansion) trines Neptune (illusion, mysticism), which creates optimism and hope. It expands our ability to sense answers intuitively and to reach out for good fortune.

T-Square: squares and opposition

The conflict in this chart comes through cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, and Capricorn) and Sun, Moon, Mars, Saturn, and Pluto. Cardinal signs love initiating action, designing new ideas, and making life move. But the squares and oppositions stir up emotion, passion, thought, and action. For the next week or so, it’s probably best to focus on love – and let the rest go.

Moon in Libra opposes Mercury in Aries, putting emotions and thoughts into conflict; it also amplifies the sensation of Mercury retrograde. Mars in Aries likes forward motion, and Moon in Libra wants to contemplate the beauty and balance of life. The two motions are in conflict, and they temporarily exacerbate Mercury retrograde.

Sun (outer life), Moon (inner life, emotions), and Mercury (communications) square Mars in Capricorn. Squares with Mars can incite action, reaction, and passion. Often, there is a strong sense of frustration—or of feeling trapped in a situation. It’s also possible to misread energy by translating incorrectly. Again, emotions and actions can feel scrambled. (Go and meditate. Come back to the dilemma in a day or two.)

Sun (outer life), Moon (inner life, emotions), and Mercury (communications) square Saturn (karma, limitation), creating tension in the areas of life, which are recurrent and appear not to yield answers. Through focused reflection, it is sometimes possible to find answers, which have eluded us in the past. (With Saturn, it may also require perseverance with small, steady actions to create the desired change.)

Mercury (communications), Venus (love, beauty), and Uranus (awakening) square Pluto. Mercury square Pluto may cause feelings of negativity and/or the desire to blame others—when it’s more likely that it’s a pattern. Venus, when square Pluto, can intensify emotion and make “our” way feel like the only solution. Uranus (awakening) square Pluto lifts us up into awakening then down into the shadows. (After five years, we’re accustomed to it.)

Chiron

Mars and Saturn square Chiron, the wounded healer, and this indicates the likelihood of feeling old wounds and wanting to take action. It’s much wiser to pause and examine reaction before speaking and/or causing harm. (Old patterns of karma and action always come up when we’re evolving. Soften the cycle.)

Jupiter, planet of good fortune, trines Chiron, and this harmonious aspect hints at the possibility of gain and prosperity, which are earned through alignment with the inner self as opposed to action related to the wounded self. (For months, we’ve had a combination of trines and squares with Chiron, indicating a period of passing through old karma and the opportunity to heal wounds.)

NOTES:

  • Moon is in Libra, and Venus is in Taurus. Both signs are ruled by Venus, which exerts a positive influence in the chart. Moon and Venus encourage us to focus on beauty and balance in the area of emotions and the beauty of physical life in the area of the heart.
  • This is a volatile chart. Act as a light worker. Take 15 minutes each day to send light, peace, and love to the world.
  • Confusing emotions are found throughout the chart. Try to give others the benefit of the doubt and try to see their point of view. Don’t act on how you feel. Consider what your inner self wants as opposed to how you think and feel.
  • Correct thoughts will probably appear only through spiritual work and meditation.. Let the other thoughts go. You can take action and talk a week or two from now. It’s impossible to know if you’re right or wrong or if you should say it another way. (Moon opposition Mercury, and Mercury square Mars, Saturn, and Pluto – in retrograde – clouds clear thought.)
  • Actions should be based on projects and goals, which began before the retrograde. Journal your desires to initiate change and come back to them after April 15.
  • If you’re experiencing low energy, tension, or frustration, it will pass.
  • Whatever happens, don’t blame. Don’t fight. Don’t retaliate. Move into love.
