Finding Gratitude

The concept of gratitude emerged around a decade ago. Introduced by Stacey Robyn (Go Gratitude), Ester and Jerry Hicks, and discussed in the movie, The Secret, it was touted as a system of creating more good in life. Obviously, gratitude is important, but it’s like so many things–a practice to reap “good” or abundance doesn’t work. (Initially, I remember spending an hour looking around the room while notating items for the expression of gratitude.)

There’s an easier and better method of practicing gratitude. Once you find the missing piece, the practice becomes easy and rewarding. It does reap benefits, but you tend not to care.

Easy Steps For Feeling More Gratitude

1) Nothing truly works without spiritual connection. Connection is the point. Start with meditation, and see where your consciousness moves. Notice how life feels lighter, and everything responds to your deepened state of being. Noticing and observing invoke a state of gratitude.

2) While connected, notice the motion of your consciousness. When you are connected outdoors, you hear the wind more succinctly. You notice the movement of the trees. You hear the birds. You feel the blessing of life. When you are indoors, you may feel the quietness and calm of your meditation. Notice the direction of your senses and the more pleasing objects in the room. (These are blessings. Give thanks.)

3) When you feel strong, happy, or loved, expand the feeling. Imagine more of the feeling, which amplifies the vibration. Amplifying the vibration leads to expansion in life. Expansion and connection are interrelated.

4) When life is moving well, comment to yourself about the feeling of your life. Notice your practices and note your connection. Part of gratitude is simply noticing your blessings.

5) When your efforts make a positive difference, thank the universe. You experience the “good” as part of your connection with the Divine. The same is true with the higher aspects of the self.

6) When you are in a higher state, you naturally notice the good in life. The movement of the mind into the flow of goodness marks a higher state of consciousness. Pay attention. When your attention rests on the good in life, this is a state of gratitude. (Your inner dialog is a good indication of your state of mind.)

Using Gratitude with Problems

It’s the opposite of the practice listed above. The idea is not to notice good things; it’s about changing your focus when you think about problems. Everyone thinks about problems with negative thoughts and emotions—even positive people do this.

Problems are simply where we need more energy or a different type of energy. Energy can include a change in physical routine, a new belief, feeling, or changing the lens of your focus.

  • Remember, you are a creator. You can change your reality by altering your vision and perception of life. You may not know how to do it, but you have the capacity. At least, you can create change. You can feel grateful about your capacity to alter your life, and take a minute or two to see or feel it differently.
  • When you think life is not going well, notice what is okay or bearable. Put your attention on what’s working. Maybe, you don’t have time to do all of your work. But you can do some of it. Notice what you have completed and bless it—or give thanks. In this way, you amplify the good. (When you can’t figure out the next step, visualize it and give thanks for your inner ability.)
  • When you argue with people, remember you have the ability to send light, calm your feelings, or come up with another solution. You can move back into your self-worth and remember what you like about yourself. (If you can, recall what you do like about the other person.) Love is a very special quality of the universe, which changes much of life. When you move back into a state of love, life alters. Thank the universe for the opportunity.
  • If you’ve practiced spiritual work, you know how to center. Everything changes when you center your attention on the presence of your inner self. You will feel grateful without any effort when you achieve it.
  • When you have a difficult day, think about the days that go well. (You’re actually giving gratitude for those times while pushing your energy in the direction of positivity.) Whenever you feel overwhelmed by a problem, notice what isn’t wrong. (If the cake falls, I can make another one or buy one—at least. Maybe, I have to take the animals to the vet, but it’s for a check-up, and nothing’s wrong.) You’re diverting your attention from the problem into the goodness of the moment. It works.

One of the greatest gifts of all is our ability to change our consciousness through connection. It’s a great blessing!

Listening to the Earth

As a child, I learned the patterns of clouds, seasons, the motion of the moon, and meaning of dew on the grass. Nature spoke in an immutable language of signs, which never changed—and spoke of the future in a thousand ways. But the earth is changing, and the signs no longer hold their former wealth of information.

The sun and moon rise in different locations. There are unseasonable patterns. Fall comes early, perennial plants bloom in fall rather than spring, and storms and fires fill the continent. Globally, we’re experiencing solar flares, rising oceans, and a fluctuating magnetic field. The planet is taking on the matrix of a new pattern.

The wolf population is growing throughout the United States. (When I first met the wolves, their numbers were smaller. They said the resurgence of their population was associated with a positive change as well as the turning of the planet and stars.) The four-leggeds and the creatures of the ocean also send waves of songs to support us.

In alchemical writings, there are notes indicating the elementals (the creatures ruling the kingdoms of fire, air, water, and earth) respond to the moods and thoughts of awakening human beings. As we awaken our energy level soars, and the acceleration of consciousness amplifies any imbalance in the emotional, mental, or physical realm of humans. As our energy increases and expands, nature acts as a balancing force by releasing emotion through storms and flames.

With many people awakening at this particular time, the planet’s reaction is not surprising. Earth is likely reflecting the oscillation of emotions and thoughts of many people at one time. As we increase our consciousness and light, our feelings and emotions often become more intense.

I’m sharing my thoughts below, which are simply based on observation.

  1. Storms and rain can reflect our inner condition; they can also clear our inner and outer condition. (Think of the garden in mid-summer after a wonderful rain.) From my experience, it is possible to calm a storm or experience it in a less intense manner.
  2. Fire purifies and changes a landscape. With the many fires in the United States, it could be helpful to imagine the landscape after days of rain–or to see new life in the place of the flames. (Note: it’s more helpful to see and imagine rain than to wish for it.)
  3. Some of our weather may be manufactured by others. We could imagine gentle, balanced weather–or devices that don’t work.
  4. We hasten the seasons and the feeling of an accelerated year by sending children to school in early August. Advertisements such as Halloween in August make time seem to move more quickly. When we buy and prepare months ahead, we actually visualize cooler weather and other events such as Christmas and snow! It’s always a wonderful time to slow and become present.
  5. Mass beliefs such as associating harsh winter with global warming increase the likelihood of the experience. If many people believe this, we’ll certainly experience it. Obviously, it’s also possible to visualize and create a milder winter. On another topic, pollution obviously exists, and we have to see this truth. But we can also imagine a planet without pollution, including clear skies, clean water, and solutions for current problems.

If Nature is reflecting our beliefs, thoughts, and emotions, there is a possibility of creating a better reality. As far as I know, few people, with the exception of indigenous people, experiment with this. Please share your thoughts and insights.

Full Moon Forecast: The Crossroads of Change

The full moon on Oct. 24 presents a crossroads for many on the spiritual path. Filled with feminine signs, the chart can offer a passage to the new world. There’s a great deal of emphasis on Uranus, the planet of awakening and sudden change. On the highest frequency, Uranus teaches us how to enter the quantum field where we commune with light and love. On the lower frequency, it compounds our problems, making them feel like the downside of a roller coaster.

However, we hold the power to make positive changes, and the energy only lasts for a week or two. Sun (life), Mercury (communications), Venus (love, beauty), and Jupiter (good fortune) are placed in Scorpio, the sign of the scorpion that rules magnetism, sexuality, and birth/death. Moon and Uranus are in Taurus. There’s also a Grand Cross, which asks us to let go of fixed ideas and thoughts while opening up to new and larger truths. (In metaphysics, crosses represent mastery of the four elements – the four aspects of self on the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical plane.)

Moon is on Taurus 2, “An Electrical Storm Illuminates the Heavens and Forests”, indicating strong energies during the lunation. Electrical storms clear the air, indicating it may clear our minds of stringent thoughts. Wherever lightning strikes the earth, it holds an electro-magnetic charge, which was used for absorption of energy by ancient Chi Gong masters. Moon trines Saturn (time, limitation), increasing stability and giving grounding energy. Moon conjuncts Uranus (quantum field, sudden change), which heightens intuition, inventive ideas, and tendency for impulsiveness.

Mercury (communications) is placed in Scorpio. (Think of playing a detective in a cosmic mystery.) We want to explore and find the truth about life—and communicate it. Mercury (communication) squares Mars (assertion, male energy), creating tension between thought and action. Mercury is conjunct (close to) Jupiter, encouraging our quest for truth. Both signs are in Scorpio, heightening the tendency to look successfully beneath the surface for answers to find good fortune, expansion, and growth. Mercury trines (harmonious) Neptune (mysticism, illusion) and aids in seeing behind the veil of illusion.

Venus remains retrograde in Scorpio until mid-November, making review and recreation of love relationships and partnerships (of all kinds) of great importance. Venus sextiles Saturn (time, limitation), which gives stability and structure. Venus also opposes Uranus, causing sudden erratic changes in emotion, particularly with those we love. Venus trines (harmonious) Neptune, extending ability to tap into mysticism, align with beauty, and enhance intuition.

Mars (action, male energy) sits in Aquarius, an air sign ruling thought and humanitarian endeavors. Mars in Aquarius tends cause overthinking instead of directed action. Thoughts tend to overwhelm. Mars squares Jupiter, causing tension between our desire to act and good fortune.

The Grand Cross

On a higher level, the Grand Cross gives an opportunity to move beyond fixed ideas into a broader, happier spiritual perspective. The Cross consists of aspects between fixed signs, but Uranus, the planet of awakening, is heavily involved in the cross.

The North and South Nodes, indicating our spiritual direction for growth and tendency to repeat particular skills instead of growing respectively, square the Sun, Moon, Venus, and Uranus. In short, it’s time to release aspects of the self by growing into a larger image of self. (We find that image in the quantum field, the place of light and love.)

Outer Planets

Jupiter, the planet of expansion, trines the North Node, the direction of growth. The trine helps in finding courage to move beyond limitation and fear. Saturn (time, karma) trines Uranus, bringing together the best of the past and future.(Trines are harmonious and help with manifestation.)

Chiron, the wounded healer, makes trines with Mercury (communications) and Jupiter (expansion), indicating that looking beneath the surface can help in creating a better life.  Saturn (time, karma) squares Chiron, creating tension between our karmic wounds and desire to heal.

Tips:

  • It’s a strong feminine chart, which should feel nurturing and grounding with many planets in earth and water. But several aspects in the chart cause tension, creating pressure to change and embrace life with a higher point of view. (It’s likely that we’ll move back and forth between the relative support of the feminine energies and the desire to act and/or change.)
  • Sun in Scorpio and Moon in Taurus is a powerful combination for fertility, creation, and manifestation. With the overall elements of the chart in play, it’s important to focus on the positive. (Try to hold a positive thought or image for every negative. Move into gratitude when life seems heavy or limiting.)
  • Venus retrograde continues to create pressure around relationships. It’s difficult to say how we feel in our hearts during this time, so practice sending light before speaking – and focus on the higher forces of love.
  • The Grand Cross puts a great deal of pressure on our fixed beliefs, and it’s up to us to continue with them or expand into a higher state of mind. Sometimes, it’s difficult to release them. If this is the case, restrain from sudden action or expression. Give it time and thought. Come back to the universal mind.
  • Our emotions will probably run hot and cold during this period. We’ll feel life quite strongly, but we have many resources such as the grounding offered through Saturn (time, structure) and Moon in Taurus. There are also aspects such Venus trine Neptune, combining love and mysticism to help in seeing and finding spiritual truth amidst the illusion of duality in life.

Sabian Symbols, based on Lynda Hill’s work

Sun is on Scorpio 1, “A Broken Bottle and Spilled Perfume”. The evidence of breaking and spilling an object is apparent from the fragrance in the air. Breaking can refer to outgrowing an aspect of life and bursting from a container — or mistakenly spilling something valuable.

Moon is on Taurus 2, “An Electrical Storm Illuminates the Heavens and Forests”. The dramatic symbol points to a powerful change in weather, which can refer to our perception of life. The lightning bolt also refers to the moment of enlightenment.

Mercury sits on Scorpio 22, “Hunters Protected by Heavy Clothing Are Shooting Wild Ducks”. The interesting symbol can indicate the need for protection while seeking nourishment, a barrier between the self and the weather, or seeing hunting as sport and/or fun.

Venus is placed on Scorpio 5, “A Massive Rocky Shore Resists the Pounding of the Sea”. Water represents emotions, and the rocky shore may symbolize how our fixed beliefs and emotions resist the sea. It can also refer to the need to stay strong in the face of the emotions (drama) of others.

Mars sits on  Aquarius 18, “A Man Being Unmasked at a Masquerade”, This symbol refers to seeing beneath the surface to find the “true” person. We all wear masks, developed through experiences in life. When we look beneath them, we learn a great deal.

Jupiter is placed on Scorpio 27, “A Military Band Marches Through City Streets”. Bands marching through city streets create a display of alliance. It’s easy to see current energies voiced through loud displays on various social media.

Talking with Animals!

Animals compose an exquisite part of life on our planet. Birds fill the air with sweet songs, and deer, bear, and foxes live among the forests.  Wild animals portray elements of the soul in indigenous cultures, and domestic animals help with daily life.

All animals have a voice; they speak from the heart. Hearing and speaking through the heart intuitively is the best communication, but there are many ways to begin. (Most people are unaware of how often they accurately hear their pets.)

In general, domestic animals come into our lives to help, calm emotion, and teach us to heal. They are quite aware of energy. Cats, dogs, horses, and most animals can see and respond to color. Their world – and perceptions – are quite different from generally accepted “truth”.

Here are a few discoveries, followed by tips for communicating with a pet.

  1. Cats and dogs actually clear your negative energy. When your energy is toxic, they absorb and transmute it. (Cats prefer negative energy and thrive on it. They often sleep on a sore part of the body, electrical devices, or sleep near the computer. Dogs prefer positive energy and usually sleep in a space that is higher in energy.)
  2. Dogs, cats, and horses respond strongly to color. Changing the color of a food bowl, collar, leash, or cushion can positively shift their energy.
  3. Animals are often a reflection of your energy, acting out your anxiety, depression, or grief. When we change our vibration, they do the same. (Some animals have been traumatized, and their behavior results from previous events.)
  4. Like most beings on the planet, animals love being told that they’re beautiful and adored. They also want recognition when they behave correctly.
  5. Horses have a very long memory and love stories as well as exciting, pleasurable events. (Think new saddle or bridle and riding with friends.)

Communicating with Your Pet

  1. When you fill the water bowl, decide to walk the dog, or call the cat, your pet is probably projecting the image or feeling. Notice the difference between automatic action and a sudden desire to take care of your pet.
  2. Dogs and cats respond well to “pictures”. It’s easier for them to understand. See the dog sitting before you say the command. See the outdoor cat at the door when you can’t find it. Imagine the animals coming to you before you call. (Some pets speak English better than others, but they all speak in imagery – or a sharp focus on whatever you want to communicate.)
  3. Initially, it’s wise to work with only one or two images. For example, see the dog running and playing outside – or coming to you. Try to create a feeling of happiness along with the image.
  4. When a pet responds to an image, praise them so they understand that you are communicating with them. (Think of how many thoughts and images you create each day!) Ask them to let you know how they feel. If you receive impressions, say them aloud.
  5. When you feel happy and light, express your pleasure so your animals can enjoy it with you. Odd as it sounds, this is one of the best ways of creating an intuitive bond with a pet.
  6. After meditation or a walk, think about your heart connecting with your pet’s heart. Think about how much you love them, and say it in words. (Love is the essence of all higher communication.)

Overcoming Darkness with Light

Sometimes, the world seems dark and strange. It’s difficult not to feel specific world events or significant weather, but it’s important to raise our vibration–if we want things to change in a positive sense.

Below are a few of my favorite techniques. These tips and techniques are helpful in raising our vibration and seeing the goodness in the world. By raising our vibration, we move back into peace and harmony, which pulls in the frequency of positive change.

  1. Affirm the power of love and have faith in the universe. Believing in the power of love and light is part of utilizing it. (The “feeling” and faith are part of sending light. Visualization and connection are also important.)
  2. Send light and love to the geographical location of any disturbance. Send light to everyone who is involved in the problem. Imagine love and light changing and raising the energy of the location.
  3. Focus on peace. We can radiate it through ourselves–and out into the world. Make a strong choice about placement of consciousness. Encourage others to do the same.
  4. See the opposite of a current situation. See peace instead of violence.  See a safe and beautiful world. (Take 5 or 10 minutes to “see” this clearly.)
  5. Believe in the power of spiritual work. Meditating, thinking positive thoughts, and helping others do a great deal in creating a better world. The work helps, and the desired change is coming.
  6. Avoid reactive people. It’s impossible to observe when people strongly express their opinion. Stay neutral and work from a place of love. Observe and detach from the media. (We’re leaving the time of Kali Yuga when negative vibrations were attractive and inviting. The media makes life seem worse by focusing on negativity. Choose to be different and stay focused on the positive.)
  7. KNOW there is a great deal of love on this planet. We may not always see it, but love and light are the underlying fabric of matter. And the light is growing. (A good intuitive can “see” it.)

Specific Tips

  • Weather. It’s best to work with severe weather by thinking about the geographical area and sending love (pink light) to loved ones and the beauty of the location. Imagine love like a soft, pink cloud, covering and protecting everything. (Please don’t try to move the storm.)
  • People When experiencing irritation, disagreement, or negative energy with a loved one or friend, pull back from the situation. Refrain from thoughts identifying the other person as “wrong”. See a solution strongly and surrender the situation to the universe. (Whenever possible, do not dwell on negative thoughts and feelings about the other person. Think about their strengths and positive skills.) It can take a few weeks for the energy to change, but a different, calmer feeling should come in a few days. (Don’t share opinions while the energy is changing!)
  • More People. Learn to detect the energetics of a person, which goes beyond actions and words. Notice wishes for changes in their behavior and pull personal desires back. Gently project happiness for the person.
  • Social Media New, and Politics. Allow other people to have judgments. Don’t correct them. Make the experience about remaining neutral and positing positive information. When we remain neutral, the person will seek out someone who strongly agrees or disagrees. In general, negative people want negative energy. Don’t play the game. (Also, people learn from mistakes, and we are not their teachers – unless they ask.)
  • Pause. Situations often change when we don’t react, talk, or think about them. Pausing returns us to the inner self where unusual and happy answers are discovered. When in this quiet place, reflect on the beauty of the inner self and the physical world.

Message from the Wolves

From the forests, mountains, and rivers, we call to your soul. Listen to us and find your way. Listen to the trees, the clouds, and the sky. The earth speaks, too, and you can hear it through your feet.

We no longer ask you to commune with nature. For those of you who are awake, you hear her. You feel the tremble of the earth as she moves, and you hear the speaking of seas through their eternal motion.

At the present, you are between worlds – between the new and old worlds. You move into the new world when aligned with your true presence, the one to which we speak at this time. You step back into the old world when you argue, indulge in lower emotions, and forget who you are. (Yes, we know this is part of a very old process, but it is time to move beyond it.)

Everything we know is about energy, the life force that moves through the physical and the spiritual force that animates it. When you are aligned with the physical and spiritual worlds, there is much magic, and the magic is amplified by specific points of the earth as well as the presence of creatures, specifically wild ones. (Indigenous cultures have named these energies, giving clues and hints.)

When we walk through the world, the motion of trees tells us where to go. And clouds in the sky act as pointers for direction. The energy patterns of the earth appear to us as we run through the woods. The stars, clouds, and moon guide us at night.

Yes, it is very different in the human world. We hear your voices, and understand the complexity of your lives.  It’s helpful to think about what you ask for in life. For example, you rarely ask for connection with your inner self or reconnection with your power. With power, you can create what you want and know how to do it. (This is more important than having what you want – for it will often change as your perception expands.)

If you want to step into the new world to hear animals and plants and see the beauty of the world, we recommend asking for wiser outcomes such as hearing your inner voice, learning to use your gifts, and gaining greater awareness of the connection with the all. Consider for a moment if you truly learned to use your gift of manifestation by seeing life differently.

This is a greater power than asking for or receiving prosperity. Asking to open your heart to love and companionship may be more of gift than finding a perfect partner. (Of course, the outcome and gift are related.)

It’s also important to look at energy. Energy rightfully placed is true power. Notice how you become tired and who takes your energy. Notice how energy soars when you are happy or in the right place at the right time.

The “Awakening” or event is not exactly what you think. One by one, you cross into the zone of the spiritual or new world where you become very intuitive or powerful. Perhaps, you see, sense, or feel energies, messages, and intuitions that are not usually there.

If you consciously repeat this experiment, you build a bridge to the “other” world. When many individuals have these experiences, it builds a bridge for others to cross. In this way, many individuals awaken as a group at one time, but it occurs through the personal work of individuals.

Some of you cross the bridge of consciousness frequently, and you know when this happens for you are embraced by life and rewarded by a flow of events, which feels very different from daily consciousness. For others, it occurs in dreams or in nature. Yet, we know when you are here with us.

The “real” world is astonishingly beautiful, and we ask you to walk there with us in deep, awakened consciousness where the impossible is made possible. Everything on the earth works quite differently when you are in an altered state of consciousness.

You become quite magical, and the earth works with you. The earth becomes light, malleable, and supportive. There is only love.

We share our thoughts and methods below.

  1. It’s helpful to affirm your readiness for the new world. At this point, they overlap but not always. Choose the placement of your thoughts and feelings. Review your direction and create visuals that align with it. (It’s helpful to do this outdoors or to sense the placement of trees or sky.)
  2. Move out of negativity. See the world as it should be. In the beginning, there was one, long spring-like season. The seasons are shifting now, and the earth is changing. Try to see the beauty and refrain projecting the image of a dying world. (It’s not.)
  3. Rephrase your life. Use new words. See the good that has traveled within you for lifetimes. Focusing on this goodness opens your powers. Use your time to learn how to change the flow of life. (If you don’t like something, change it or see it differently.)
  4. Ask your heart what it wants. Ask your heart what brings happiness. Follow your happiness. (Happiness is not doing “nothing”. Activity flows out of happiness as do periods of profound rest with connection with the physical and spiritual worlds.)
  5. Visit with the earth.  Watch the motion of leaves, notice how the wind changes its smell, and look at the colors in the grass. A thousand stories lie undisturbed in the substance in the lawn.
  6. Flow into art. Create beautiful objects—paint, draw, write. Make a space for the expression of your heart and soul.
  7. Remember how it was in the Beginning when the earth sighed with pleasure when she felt your feet, and flowers bloomed as you walked by. In this time, we walked at your side, and we pray you remember your remarkable power.

Full Moon Forecast

The Full Moon appears on Sunday, August 26 at 7:56 am. Five planets remain retrograde, limiting success and forward motion. However, Mars moves direct on August 27, inciting courage, decisiveness, and strength –and there are many uplifting aspects with positive influence involving Sun (life) and Moon (the feminine, emotions).

The chart is heavy with earth, which can provide grounding and connection with nature—or denseness and lack of flexibility. After a summer of retrogrades, which demand reflection and restrict action, we have a great deal of repressed energy, and it’s important to continue our restraint through contemplative thought, words, and actions. (It’s probably wise to clear energy through meditation before expressing it in the physical world.)

The Moon (emotions feminine) is wonderfully placed in the intuitive, feminine sign of Pisces, which opens mystical intuition and brings alignment with the unseen world. When the Moon is in a water sign, it’s particularly fertile, encouraging growth, transformation, and germination. Moon sextiles Saturn (structure) and Uranus (awakening, change), which enhances our ability to bring life into physical form

Sun (life) in Virgo, an earth sign representing the High Priestess who understands the laws of the universe and applies them accurately and discretely. On the human side, Virgo can bring enlighten through spiritual discrimination and/or become focused on small details and ignore the importance of the larger side of life. (Every sign has positive/negative connotations.)

The Sun conjuncts Regulus, the brightest star in the constellation of Leo. When the Sun conjuncts Regulus, there is an emanation of universal love. (Leo rules the heart.) A Grand Trine is formed with the Sun in Virgo, Saturn in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus. The Trine is placed in earth signs, reflecting the potential to reap return on efforts made earlier in the year.  Saturn is structure, and Uranus in Taurus concerns physical life. The lovely Trine encourages a new structure in the physical world—or a new more connected way of living life.

Mercury (mind, communications) in Leo arouses passion and desire, and it urges heart-felt expression. Mercury is direct, smoothing communications, travel, and the motion of life. Mercury squares Jupiter in Scorpio. Squares create tension, and Jupiter asks for a deeper look at life and a greater understanding about the veiled energy beneath events and thoughts.

When placed in Libra, Venus (feminine, love) aligns with the goddess of beauty because it is an exalted position for this planet. Venus can help in grasping the loveliness in small moments and remembering the value of the heat space, which conveys love and grace. Venus squares (tension) Mars (male, energy), creating a lack of communication between the male/female sides of the self.

Venus square Pluto (subconscious, transformation) intensifies emotions as well as the desire to control and direct relationships. The lesson concerns releasing control of loved ones and trusting the universe to give what is needed. (It makes see the shadowy, unlovable part of the self while urging for transformation into a purer form. This is what love does. It makes the beauty, harmony, and peace in life become visible and attainable. It transmutes everything into a higher level.

Mars (male, energy) is placed in Capricorn, an earth sign. In direct position, it can help with the practical side of life, providing a positive, strong focus on work, and it amplifies focus and ambition. However, Mars continues to square Uranus, encouraging energetic eruptions and sudden behavioral shifts. Mars conjuncts (close to) Pluto, the god of the underworld. Mars conjunct Pluto gives the power to move through blocks and obstacles and create substantial change.

Jupiter (expansion, growth) in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces; it’s a romantic, dreamy, and spiritual aspect. Heightening our religious and spiritual affinity, the trine aids in finding mystical, peaceful pursuits for a focus in life. It increases our propensity to act out of love and an inner higher purpose. Jupiter sextile Pluto offers transformative energy to make changes in the world through the power of goodness and higher intentions based on inner growth and self-realization. It encourages spiritual rebirth for many people in the general population.

Saturn (karma, structure, limitation) trines Uranus (awakening, sudden change), providing insights on combining the best qualities of the past age and the New Age. Neptune (mysticism, illusion) sextiles Pluto (transformation). According to Robert Hand, it indicates a period of changing morality, sexuality, and religious beliefs.

In summary, it’s a stable chart with grounding influences from 5 planets placed in earth. It’s also a feminine chart with 8 planets in earth and water. We lack the influence of mystical energies from eclipses and other unusual influences, but there are many aspects to lead us into love and divine understanding.

The Grand Trine with Sun, Saturn, and Uranus heightens our ability to manifest. Moon in Pisces opens our inner vision to the unseen world. Sun conjunct Regulus aligns our heart with an infusion of divine love. Venus in Libra heightens the beauty in life, making it easier to become present in life. Jupiter (expansion) trines Neptune (mysticism) increases our awareness of the positive effect of spiritual awareness and action.

Sun is on Virgo 4, “Black and White Children Playing Happily Together”. With Sun conjunct Regulus, the symbol points to the value of universal love, which overcomes duality and create wholeness. As we move into divine love, the differences, created by separation, are transformed to a higher view of wholeness.

Moon is on Pisces 4, “Heavy Traffic Linking Two Seaside Resorts.” Seaside resorts tend to refer to locations for rest, relaxation, and enjoyment. The sea refers to emotions, and a seaside resort reflects pleasant emotions. Heavy traffic points to many people traveling at one time without cooperation or smoothness provided by earlier preparation.

Mercury is placed on Leo 15, “A Street Pageant Moving Along in a Street Packed with People.” Again, the imagery denotes too many people, crowding, and a lack of space. These symbols may refer to mass consciousness, which lacks the knowledge to adequately clear thoughts and emotions, and essentially jams the “street” of positive collective communication.

Venus on Libra 19, “A Gang of Robbers in Hiding”. This strange symbol may speak about the potential of hidden aspects of the self that hide in the shadows of our patterns and unhappiness in life. Venus is love, and the planet is well placed. Perhaps, the symbol is referring to our capacity to release hidden memories and traumas through the powerful potential of love.

Mars on Capricorn 29, “A Woman Reading Tea Leaves”. It’s interesting to see Mars, the keeper of male and physical energy, represented by the symbol of the psychic. Since Mars remains conjunct Uranus, it’s probably important to listen to our intuition and heart before taking action. (No one looks at tea leaves unless they seek help in finding the right direction.)

Summer Solstice

A Midsummer’s Night Dream recalls the magic of the longest day of the year when fairies interact with mortals, and the earth lies green and fertile. This year’s solstice chart offers a different magic that comes from expansion into the inner self – if we overcome a few challenges, which is a perpetual theme in these days of change.

A Grand Trine, which accelerates our power to bring dreams into form, is found between Mercury (thought), Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) and Neptune (mysticism, illusion). Grand Trines bring harmonious energies through expression of positive emotion. When we guide our thoughts to elicit aligned emotions, they can be amplified into physical form. There is also a dreaminess in this geometric aspect– an element of mystery and beauty through the involvement of Neptune, which rules the seas of emotion, collective consciousness, and the mystical essence of beauty and art.

The Grand Trine gives a space to pull into the inner self and connect to the Divine when traveling through the pressure of the Grand Square, which causes tension between Venus (love, relationships), Mars (action, male), Jupiter (good fortune), and Uranus (sudden change, awakening). Squares also give insights about the repetitive nature of reaction and personal tendencies when feeling pressure and tension. Through observation and awareness, we can break through patterns and find freedom and strength. (It’s not just about creating – it’s also about releasing our limitations.)

Sun (self, life) is on the last degree of Gemini, an air sign ruling the mind, short journeys, and siblings. At this pivotal point, it is a few hours from stationing in Cancer, a water sign ruling fertility, the home, and the feminine in the role of the mother. Sun opposes Saturn (karma, limitation), suggesting the need to build self-confidence, overcome obstacles, and commit to inner/outer work.

Moon (emotions) is in Libra, an air sign ruling beauty, harmony, and justice. The most exquisite flowers come from seeds planted on a Libra moon. This placement sets the tone of emotion for the overall chart, and Libra can convey a feeling of balance and objectivity.  Moon sextiles Venus (love, relationships), increasing our ability to experience positive emotions in relationships. Moon trines (harmonious) Mars (male, action), and this aspect expands the potential of combining the right emotions with physical action. (We can flow into right action when emotionally aligned.)

Moon squares Mercury (communications), which can affect the emotional content of words and other communications—and cause tension when attempting to clearly speak and relate to others. Moon squares Saturn (karma, limitation), bringing personal, emotional limitations about relationships to the surface. Moon square Pluto (subconscious, transformation) intensifies emotions and need for control. (Keep in mind that control is ego-based; surrender leads to universal energies.)

Mercury (mind, communications) is in Cancer, a water sign, and there is a tendency for thoughts to evoke stronger emotions than usual. The mind is a tool for focusing attention, and the placement can be used as a means of focus on moments and memories, which hold harmony, happiness, and the realization of the inner self.  (When we think about these moments, our physical chemistry changes to reflect the harmony and create more of it in life.) This type of reflection can create harmony and expansion in life because of Mercury’s trine with Jupiter (expansion, growth) and Neptune (mysticism, illusion.)

Grand Square

Venus (love, relationships) in Leo is all about passion and the desire to feel red “hot” in areas of life that correspond with the heart. Venus is part of the Grand Square, and it is opposition (conflicting feelings) Mars (male, action); Venus squares Uranus (sudden change, awakening) and Pluto (subconscious, transformation). Venus opposite Mars makes for uneven transactions between the male and female parts of the self.  Venus square Jupiter brings a lack of focus for work. Venus squares Uranus, it tends to blur the lines between good/bad in relationships. Strong but inaccurate perceptions can lead to sudden changes.

Despite the tense aspects, Venus is love, and part of spiritual growth involves growing past temporary difficulties and uneven perceptions. There is always a bigger, universal perception although it may involve boundaries, speaking the truth, or changing ourselves—and we grow tremendously when we slip into big love.

Mars (male, action) sits in Aquarius, an air sign ruling thought and group connection/consciousness. Mars squares Jupiter (good fortune), and it can give courage and determination. It can also feel a bit obsessive and impulsive when taking action. Mars squares Uranus (sudden change, awakening), which causes erratic bursts of energy with a lack of thought about the outcome. (Sit with ideas and urges before taking action.)

Jupiter and Saturn

Jupiter trines Uranus (sudden change, awakening), adding optimism, kindness, and a desire for spiritual pursuits to the mix of energies. Saturn (limitation, karma) trines Uranus (sudden change, awakening), expanding our ability to combine the new and old worlds within ourselves and group consciousness.

Planets in Retrograde

Neptune is now retrograde, which can act as a big plus for empaths and psychics. Neptune rules collective consciousness, the shared sea of emotional energy in which we swim together. When Neptune is indirect, we receive less collective information and instantly use our internal filter more effectively. The retrograde position can be helpful in seeing reality more clearly.

Jupiter (good fortune), Saturn (karma, limitation), Neptune (mysticism, illusion), and Pluto (subconscious, transformation) are currently retrograde. For this reason, we won’t feel the strong pull of the outer planets as strongly as usual.

Notes:

  • The Grand Trine offers energy similar to opening a window and breathing the fresh air of spring. It is invigorating, hopeful, and offers the space to tune into higher vibrations – and to shape them into a wonderful, physical form. (As always, this requires work.) The Trine works with the concept of using the right thoughts to connect with images of expansion and abundance and pull them into physical form.
  • The Grand Square affects love (Venus), action (Mars), Jupiter (good fortune), and Uranus (sudden change, awakening). A Grand Square does cause stress; the object is to transcend it by finding the inner self and moving into a higher space of consciousness.
  • Many aspects are found with the Moon, the source of emotion and movement within the self. Oscillation is part of mastery. Observe whenever possible.
  • Solstices can be a door into the quantum field of consciousness where we find new answers, increase our light, and gain new perceptions about ourselves and the world.
