May’s Full Moon/Wesak

May’s Full Moon marks the passage of Wesak, the celebration of Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and death. After Buddha’s birth, the legend tells he took seven steps, and a lotus appeared in each of the steps. The forces of his enlightenment flood the planet on this day—a dispensation to all who are aware and open.

Appearing on May 18, the full moon is placed in the water sign of Scorpio, hinting at the power of transformation. The Sun is in Taurus, an earth sign ruled by Venus, and Moon in Scorpio bring fertility to the earth, encouraging germination, growth, and fulfillment. (It’s a wonderful time to add plants or seeds to the garden, and the same is true for tending and developing desires and dreams.)

Five planets in Taurus bestow a feeling of connection with nature and the heart. They also ground us, blocking from lower vibrations from the outer world. Taurus helps in creating abundance, feeling the goodness of the world, and discovering self-worth in the physical world.

A Grand Trine, which is both beneficial and harmonious, is formed between Moon (inner self, emotions), Neptune (illusion, mysticism), and North Node (spiritual direction and imperative). By aligning our emotions with the Divine, we can move in the direction of greater spirituality, which brings lightness, happiness, and relief.

Sun (life, light) trines Saturn (karma, time), enhancing our ability to focus, concentrate, and build new structures in life through heart-felt devotion. Sun trines (harmonious) Pluto (subconscious, transmutation); this aspect gives powers of rejuvenation, courage, and the ability to rebuild life in a new form.  Sun conjuncts (close to, amplifies) Mercury (communication), and it sharpens the intellect and intuition.

Moon (emotions, feminine, moods) in Scorpio opposes Mercury (communication), creating a mixture of confusion and clarity. When our mood changes, we may feel mental confusion—or we may feel very clear, depending on the wave of energy. Moon sextiles (positive) Saturn (limitation, karma) and Pluto (subconscious, transmutation), which can aid with positive use of resources in rebuilding and/or recreating our lives. (Both Saturn and Pluto can represent resources.) Moon trines (positive, harmonious) Neptune (illusion, mysticism), and it can open our consciousness to deep states of devotion and focused meditation.

Mercury is highlighted in the chart through aspects with Sun/Moon/Saturn/Pluto. With this emphasis, it’s important to contemplate thoughts that align the heart and mind—and lead to expansion and happiness. Mercury (communications, higher mind) trines (harmonious) Saturn, and this aspect can add diligence and persistence to our spiritual quest as well as clarity of mind. Mercury trines Pluto (subconscious, transmutation), enhancing our ability to find hidden answers such as esoteric realizations and insights into subconscious patterns.

Venus, the planet of love and beauty, in Taurus conjuncts (close to) Uranus (sudden change, quantum field). This placement can open our hearts to universal love and/or make our emotions about love move erratically. (The challenge lies discerning in source of emotion—subconscious or higher self.) Venus’ influence is felt throughout chart with five planets in Taurus. It urges awareness of the physical world, grounding in nature, and learning the right way of creating a life that aligns with the heart.

Mars (action, male energy) is placed in Cancer, a feminine water sign, and it tends to heighten emotion instead of inspiring action. It’s important to know that emotions are not always real, and they change in accordance to various stimuli. Fortunately, Mars is in opposition to Jupiter (good fortune, expansion), and this aspect encourages boldness, forward movement, and confidence.

Jupiter (expansion, good fortune) sits in Sagittarius, encouraging spiritual growth and realization. Jupiter squares (tension) Neptune (illusion, mysticism). The aspect indicates a time for releasing old beliefs, illusions, and expectations. Confusion, disorganization, and illusion can accompany the square. When we move through illusion, we discover greater truths.

Saturn (limitation, karma, structure) conjuncts Pluto (subconscious, transmutation) in Capricorn. The conjunction can affect commerce, income, and resources. It also asks for rebuilding life in the areas of goals, dreams, and ambitions. At its best, it moves us through worries and fears, teaching us to replace limitations with success.

Neptune (mysticism, illusion) sextiles Pluto (subconscious, transmutation), which heightens our ability to transcend limitations through an exalted, meditative state. Neptune trines North Node (spiritual direction), which encourages finding and aligning with our inner compass on a higher level.

Many planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter) aspect Pluto, indicating the importance of observing our subconscious patterns, which cause limitation and darkness, while learning how to embrace, transmute, and integrate this energy on a higher level in the coming New Age. (Think of many people observing their personal darkness and illuminating it with light.)

NOTES:

The repetitive theme of reflection on love and thought is obvious throughout the chart. With five planets placed in Taurus, which is ruled by Venus, it’s wise to contemplate our definition of love and its expansion in life. It’s important to contemplate creating a beautiful life that we love. It’s also about feeling the flow of nature in daily life. (In alchemy, nature holds and demonstrates the secrets of inner growth.)

When the planets are peaceful and harmonious, the challenge lies in making time for devotion and creating change. It’s easy to relax in the beauty and float through life, but the universe asks for constant awareness of the inner self and evolution.

There are two strong energies within the chart. One asks for push and drive with ambition, projects, and creation a new life. The other asks for interpretation of mystical energies in a quiet, reflective state. It’s a way of combining the passive and action aspects of duality.

Sabian Symbols, based on the work of Lynda Hill

Sun is on Taurus 28, “A Woman in Middle Life Stands in Rapt, Sudden Realization of Forgotten Charms, in Unexpected Recovery of Romance.” It’s never too late to rediscover love or life; the potential always exists. The symbol depicts remembering a “lost” part of the self and finding it again when experiencing a higher vibration. (We integrate many parts of the self on the spiritual path.)

Moon sits on Scorpio 21, “Obeying His Conscience, A Soldier Resists Orders.” It’s a perfect symbol for the Scorpio moon, which opposes Mercury (thought). In this case, conscience refers to the inner self, and orders may refer to thought (Mercury) and moods (Moon). The heart is the place where we can literally review both thought and mood.

Mercury is placed on Taurus 24, “An Indian Warrior Riding Fiercely with Human Scalps Hanging at His Belt”.  The symbol refers to vengeance, territories, and disputes. It also speaks of the importance of evolving beyond these types of basic needs.

Venus sits on Taurus 4, “The Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow.” It’s a beautiful symbol, depicting the possibility of aligning with the Divine. We find the treasure through our imagination, spiritual yearnings, and consistent work.

Mars sits on Cancer 2, “A Man on a Magic Carpet Observes Vast Vistas Below”. The symbol suggests the importance of traveling through life on a higher frequency, which elevates consciousness above problems and the mundane in life. From this perspective, it’s possible to find unseen answers from this place of detachment.

Jupiter is on Sagittarius 23, “A Group of Immigrants Fulfilling the Requirements for Entering A New Country.” It could refer to the New Age and the requirements of higher consciousness. We are literally learning a new language through intuition and compassion as we become re-oriented to the new energies.

Quick Visualizations

I love quick visualizations because they work. They also teach development of the imagination and spiritual skills. These exercises are among my favorites because they are effective for almost everyone. (Fortunately, the current changes in energy make visualizations more effective.)

LOVE

  • Visualize the happiest, best moments of your life when you felt truly loved–when love lifted you into a higher place of being.
  • Visualize and experience how it feels when you receive love and acceptance from someone you love along with a wave of joy. (Think about how you receive love as well. In other words, define it.)
  • Visualize how it feels when you love your life, and life opens to embrace you. This opens to door to a great deal of love.

ABUNDANCE

  • Visualize more abundance in your accounts whenever you think of money. (See more money in your wallet or hand.)
  • Send light blue light to your bills to reduce them.
  • Smile and see money coming to you in a positive, supportive way.
  • By understanding and feeling the abundant nature of the universe, you alter your perception of the events in your life, which can positively affect the flow of prosperity in life.

CAREER

  • Visualize new people in your life who want to help with your career–and who know how to do it.
  • Visualize emails and phone calls from people who are interested in your work and respond positively.
  • See every answer (whether positive or negative) as a response from the universe. If it’s not the right reply, the answer is on the way.
  • Your career grows by attracting the right people and events that are in flow with the universe’s plan. By focusing on growth (or easy, positive change), you align with expansion, one of the principles of the universe.

HEALTH

  • Visualize the sensation of your body when it is healthy and happy. Send light to every molecule in your body as well as the spaces between the molecules.
  • Visualize having more energy and easily maintaining a better diet and exercise routine.
  • Imagine receiving 2x the rest when you sleep.
  • Imagine feeling happy and energized when you awaken.
  • The physical body loves it when our thoughts and emotions unite positively with it. It may take a few days or weeks to respond, but the body will absorb loving, positive thoughts and demonstrate them.

SPIRITUALITY

Obviously, these exercises depend on your spiritual connection. You envision love from the heart, and you create it in life by meditating and cultivating it. Through connection, you develop faith to practice and develop accurate visualization.

By working with the visualizations, you develop a habit of finding and aligning with a higher frequency.

Small and Simple Methods to Change the World

Sometimes, the world can seem heavy or dark. We feel its weight. We may experience mass consciousness, a pool of the lower emotions and thoughts of humanity.

Fortunately, each of us can help by perceiving the world differently through thought, emotion, and visualization–or by sending light. (Sending light and/or love is quite different when it is sourced through the inner self. It is a pure, beautiful substance that uplifts whatever it touches. The word “love” has many connotations, but love sent from the heart space is a force.

The tips and techniques are about raising frequency, perceiving the power of goodness and love, and gaining awareness of our personal ability to alter the flow of life in a positive sense.

Here are few ideas:

  1. Affirm the power of love and have faith in the universe. Believing in the power of love and light is part of utilizing it. (The “feeling” and faith are part of sending light. Visualization and connection are also important.)
  2. Send light and love to the geographical location of any disturbance. Send light to everyone, who is involved in the problem. Imagine love and light changing and raising the energy of the location.
  3. Focus on peace and let it radiate through you–and out into the world. Allow your personal sensation of peace to flow through thoughts and feelings about a specific situation or location. Make a strong choice about placement of consciousness. Encourage others to do the same. (Teach yourself to feel and emit peace.)
  4. See the opposite of a current situation. See peace instead of violence.  See a safe and beautiful world. Visualize new forests in the place of deforestation. See water for the thirsty and food for the hungry. (Take 5 or 10 minutes to “see” this clearly.)
  5. Believe in the power of spiritual work. Meditating, thinking positive thoughts, and helping others raises the planetary vibration. It does a great deal in creating a better world. The work helps, and the desired change is coming.
  6. Avoid reactive people. It’s impossible to move into a state of self-observation when people strongly express negative opinions. Stay neutral and work from a place of love. Observe and detach from the media. (We’re leaving the time of Kali Yuga when negative vibrations were attractive and inviting. The media makes life seem worse by focusing on negativity. Choose to be different and stay focused on the positive.)
  7. KNOW there is a great deal of love on this planet. We may not always see it, but love and light are the underlying fabric of matter. The light is growing. (A good intuitive can “see” it.)

Manifestation: One of the Keys of Awakening

Manifestation is part of awakening. We become aware of how we create our lives as we grow in consciousness. (Everyone is already manifesting, but it’s mainly unconscious.) If we imagine a loop of tape playing and replaying, we might wonder why it continues to play, or we might decide to change the tape. That’s the basic substance of manifestation.

When we realize that we have the power to change the tape, then we alter the direction of our lives. If this realization comes with awakening (and a higher level of vibrations), we know it’s important to create a life in alignment with the inner self. As we expand into light and love, we naturally want to create and experience more “good” in life. Ultimately, it’s beneficial to ourselves and the people around us because everyone benefits from a higher frequency.

Here are a few tips:

  1. Meditation is one of the keys to the realization of the heart’s desire. It brings alignment with the inner self, which quietens thoughts and stills emotions. It also gives connection to the universe, the biggest source of love and light.
  2.  Manifestation alters our perception. It teaches focus on the positive sensations and images of what we want to create. When we focus on the good in life and see the positive, we move into higher vibrations where more possibility and opportunity exist. By focusing the mind, we learn to alter our perceptions.
  3. Many of our perceptions are based on experience and belief, which occur as part of our encounters with life. It doesn’t mean that life always responds in this way, or the outcome never changes. It simply implies that we need to see and feel life differently–and believe that we can change it in a positive sense.
  4. Working with manifestation teaches discernment. Over time, we learn the value of “things” lies in their resonance with our heart. If our desire doesn’t align with the heart or our inner self, it won’t bring joy. But repeated experiences teach the difference between the desires of the inner and outer being.
  5. Focusing on a positive vision teaches control of lower emotions and thoughts. Part of any manifestation lies in the substitution of one thought and image for another. (We can’t change and/or control everything, but we can influence a great deal. Also, we can change our emotions and thoughts.)
  6. The practice teaches a great deal about inner power as well as the changes that occur when we connect with the universe and the inner self. We can use the same practice to alter other people’s lives–and the world. (Everyone and everything is happier in a higher frequency.)
  7. The heart space expands when we step into creating the vision of the inner self. We feel more love and peace. And the world becomes more beautiful.

Message for Wolves

In my life, I spend time with wolves. I visit friends who raise or live with them, I see wolf hybrids when I walk on streets of Asheville, NC where wolves are legal pets, and I see them at the vet with owners who are ignorant of their wolf percentage. A thrill of connection runs through us, and I hear their thoughts and feel their energy—a wild, deep feeling between souls and hearts.

It is uplifting and spiritual; yet, it connects to the earth, the ancient, ever-changing mother of our physical lives—a place to learn how to alter the physical world through aligned thoughts and actions. On the highest level, it is accomplished by aligning consciousness with the earth and the sky (universe).

I feel the wolf spirit that runs through the planet and me. Sometimes, it’s simply energy. At other times, there are messages, and wolves appear in my dreams. When they share a message for light givers in particular, I hear a rumbling that translates into words. This is true today. The wolves have awareness of the shifting energy on the planet. It’s more than astrology, geology, or knowledge of the past and future, which they possess. It’s a rollicking movement of many energies tat one time. Let’s call it a challenge.

Here’s their message:

The earth is changing by emitting many different frequencies such as high and low energies, changing its ley lines, and altering the poles. Even the trees and flowers are growing in a new way although few people notice.

Another way of seeing this is to notice how physical energy changes from day to day. People are sometimes tired and/or heavy. On other days, they feel uplifted and energetic. Sleep patterns also change with motions and energies of the earth, which give patterns of sleeplessness, light sleep, and a drowsiness that makes it difficult to stay awake and have enough rest.

On a spiritual or psychic level, the gifts of those, who are aligned, are heightening. For those who have done the work, their intuition grows sharper and often delivers images and words. At this point, people actually move into higher sphere of being when reading energy. So, they are moving in and out of zones of consciousness, which can feel tiring or uplifting. (People move in and out of higher dimensions, and wolves can be heard accurately in a higher dimension.)

There are many waves of cosmic energy that affect the planet. One waves if love, and it is uplifting, reminding humans of their ability to overcome all things. There are lower vibrations, which come from many sources, although it is possible to rise above them.  Also, there is wave of lower humanity that is heavy with fear, and it can send consciousness to a lower level.

Karma is another issue. Many people are overcoming the karma of limiting beliefs and their vision of how life affects them—whether it is true or not. Others think the work of light is to carry others and embrace their problems. (Simply shine the light of happiness and connection whenever possible to truly lift up others.)

Another problem is the lack of love for the planet, and the perpetual visualization of the wipe-out of species, the destruction of the earth, and a helpless feeling that accompanies these thoughts. Use your power and see the earth as whole and beautiful. See things that don’t exist such as beauty, birds, and trees wherever they are not. (This is the use of superpower!)

We know that a challenge meets the people, who are growing—sometimes on a daily basis. But it is truly an opportunity to use inner power on all levels and at all times. Think of it as one of the last of series of tests on the subject of mastery.

We see who is aligned, making a true effort, and attempting to live in love and truth on a tumultuous planet. We also the ones who are not, and their time is limited. As the energy rises, the change will take place. The wolves send their energy to the courageous ones, who keep trying, visualizing, praying, and moving forward. The energies will soon support you. Have faith.

Questions:

Q: For those of who are making the effort, the energy is sometimes overwhelming. What can we do?

A: Become completely present and ask for help. Ask for a higher vibration. Think about how it feels when you are calm and happy. Then, focus on your heart. (When you are completely present in your heart, the energy cannot move you.)

Q: How can we connect to the earth more fully?

Notice the changes, the new location of the sun/moon, the change in growth patterns of trees and flowers, and imagine a beautiful, ecologically whole planet. The earth feels these slight shifts in consciousness and responds by protecting and loving you in the same way that the universe hears prayers.

Q: What is the best way of working with the waves?

A: First of all, they do not affect everyone at one time as do planetary or astrological aspects. Other people in your home may not feel or react to them. Know they are temporary. Become present, listen to your body and act accordingly, and focus your consciousness on how it feels when you are strong and happy.

Q: How can we move through karma more quickly?

A: By realizing that your understanding of karma (for many) relates to thousands of years of conditioning and various religions and much of it is based on your beliefs about yourself, your life, and what you think will happen. Your “program” pulls in people, events, and circumstances that prove it to you.

(Yes, everyone creates actions that are out of alignment, but they change by a strongly correct action and/or a huge shift in attitude. Nothing is fixed forever in place on this planet; a huge shift in consciousness can wipe the slate clean.)

Harmony with this planet is attained through the heart, right thoughts, and powerful actions. All emotions can be useful if applied correctly—and if there is work to understand where they come from.

Q: Why does it take so long for good events and happiness to manifest when it seems negative thoughts can manifest quickly?

A: People do not truly believe in miracles. You don’t see them. People tend to talk about negativity and watch shows about negative drama. With your head so filled with these things, there is not space for the magnificent.

While many incorrect beliefs were proliferated by religious organizations, there was once a very strong belief in the magic of miracles, blessings, and the appearance of good things.

When many people with light devote their consciousness to the creation of miracles, they will occur everywhere, but there many habits of limited thinking that wait for eradication. The new waves of love, the motion into new dimensions by those who awake, and deep understanding that positive manifestation comes through the inner self is part of the change.

Another part of this is the understanding of greater connection, people rarely wish good things for other people, and this delays their own manifestations. People are out of the habit of sending love as a wave, which uplifts everyone. And they have forgotten to listen to the Earth, have forgotten that nature herself makes the changes, which brings life and energy into physical form.

It is good to ask the Earth for protection, to ask her transmute emotions, and align your consciousness with your true life, the one you deserve.  Ask her to help you in hearing your inner voice.

Thoughts about the Heart

In the heart chakra, there are the answers that we have searched for all along. We find the answers, little by little, as we change our frequencies. Our frequencies can change very quickly or very slowly, depending on how much we are willing to change our lives. This desire for change is awakened in the heart by joy.

It is the quest of the heart to desire expansion, to desire greater fulfillment and freedom. It is this expansion that opens our hearts to enlightenment. An experience of joyful enlightenment creates a natural desire for more of this experience. Our journey continues as a reflection of our spiritual nature in physical form.

Part of the continuation of the journey is the creation of the true self. The true self lives in the human heart. It is the place of intersection or the nexus for the soul and body, the resolution of duality. As the spiritual and physical nature merge, the soul casts light on the ego. The integration of the ego, as shaped by the soul, forms a third thing, known as the True Self. This is the experience of an outer reality that is based on the experience of the inner life. It is a cognitive journey

When we begin to receive messages from our heart, we essentially cast light on the darkness of the ego. For this reason, we may experience pain on our journey. (It’s not new pain, and it comes with the understanding that our patterns, memories, and responses are part of the darkness in our lives—and finding light is the panacea. It teaches us how to change both perceptions and beliefs.)

Moments of enlightenment begin as flashes. We learn to search within the heart, for it is said to be the plumb line that measures the depth and safety of the waters in which the seeker travels. Our  conflicting experience of reality becomes evident through witnessing the profound love of our glorious connection and the darkness of the separation when disconnected.

The darkness of separation is mitigated by discipline and changing our own character. There is a point when we understand that we are the creators – at least, in part – of the difficult circumstances in our lives. This experience of duality lessens through changing ourselves.

When we change ourselves, we experience a profound shift in vibratory frequency. We understand that the difficulties were necessary for the evolution of our soul. As we learn to love our journey as well as the darkness in our lives, we begin to love ourselves. We move into the love of the heart that is conscious awakening. This love opens a profound door to expression and expansion. As we love ourselves more, we learn how to love the fabric of the Universe.

5 Reasons to Open Your Heart

The Heart lies at the center of your being. The soul speaks through the heart and gives loving guidance. In metaphysics, the first true awakening comes through the heart center. Knowing and listening to your heart is a powerful tool. Here are five good reasons for working with this powerful center.

  • Truth and love flow through the heart. It is how we feel our alignment with the universe. The head generates many thoughts and ideas, but we feel their value through the heart. We move into a space of love by listening to the heart. We can actually weigh ideas through the heart. “Listen” and “feel” through the heart. Does the idea make your chest expand or contract? (For a year, I used this practice by asking if a thought came from the heart or not-self.) The universe speaks through the heart.
  • We receive and generate love through the heart space. We can ask for love or pink light. We can imagine a ray of pink light entering our chests and healing our body, emotions, and thoughts. When we feel love, we naturally radiate it out into the world. (True abundance comes from the space of the heart and alignment with universal love.)
  • We can discern between personal truth and non-truth by listening to the heart. There is a light, warm, easy feeling when thoughts resonate with the heart. We feel other thoughts in the head or pelvis area—the ones not resonating with the heart.) The heart moves us toward our dreams. The heart also tells us when there is dissonance in our environment because there is an uneasy feeling. It’s helpful to ask what can be changed and if we can take an action. Sometimes, the action is as simple as sitting outdoors or taking a break. We discern the right answer or simply move into a still place where we wait for the arrival of the answer.
  • The heart provides balance. Positioned in the center of the chakra system, it balances the physical chakras and spiritual chakras. As human beings, we have many desires at a given time. By listening to the heart, we can create a balance between physical routine and spiritual practice.
  • Passion is one of the biggest and best reasons for opening the heart. Spiritual passion pulls us into expression, enthusiasm, and ecstasy. The heart delights in the sensations of love and life. Through the heart, we experience expansion of life. We find the words, images, or actions to reflect beauty and joy. We find the courage to inspire, go forward, and express our gifts. (It’s not enough to push through life!) Passion is magical. It’s about wanting a desire enough to take a big step!

Super Moon and Equinox Energies

It’s an incredibly intense and exciting equinox followed by the Full Super Moon on March 20.  It is a time of clarity and intention for spiritual seekers—an opportunity to move more deeply into the light and awaken inner abilities. In a sense, it is an elevator ride for those who are ready to know more, express the essence of the heart, and move more into their inner being.

Sun in Aries marks the beginning of a new cycle, the return of the light, which brings equivalent day/nights. It urges us to balance the light and darkness within ourselves. (The light leads and sustains on a spiritual quest; the dark nourishes the unknown and undiscovered within us. By exploring the darkness, we integrate the unknown and find gifts and treasures.)

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun (life, light) is “A Woman Has Risen Out of the Ocean, A Seal Is Embracing Her.” The sea refers to mass or group (emotional) consciousness, which shapes our lives until we become conscious enough to seek new land. The seal represents a creature that is equally comfortable on the earth and in the sea. Overall, the symbol speaks about the emergence of life into a physical form that reflects our inner being and conscious spiritual desires.

The Moon (emotions, the mother) is in Libra, a sign of beauty and balance. The Moon trines (harmonious) Mars (action), allowing our emotions to align with action. The Moon trines Pluto (subconscious, transformation), and this aspect gives the power to unravel secrets and alter our emotions to transmute old patterns and create a better life. The Moon also conjuncts Super Galactic Center, a black hole that can represent darkness or enlighten us about our relationship with the dark or unevolved parts of life (personal or outer world.)

Mercury remains retrograde until March 28. It sits in Pisces, casting a spell of mild tiredness and weary confusion. (Mercury retro always does this.) However, its symbol is “A Master Instructing His Disciplines”, which may refer to the importance of transcending lower emotions such as moving through small frustrations and having patience when electronics and/or communications refuse to cooperate.

On a higher level, Mercury’s retrograde in Pisces brings conflicting emotions to the surface. Often, we have two voices or two feelings about a situation, and we vacillate about them without finding the answer. Mercury retro encourages remembering that the answers are in the heart, and it’s how we transcend duality. That’s the lesson. (Mercury sextiles (positive) Mars (action), Saturn (karma, structure), and Pluto (underworld, transformation), so there are many influences to help in finding clarity.)

Venus (love, partnerships, art) sits in Aquarius, a somewhat detached air sign. It encourages detachment from passion with a focus on spirituality and humanity. On the interesting side, Venus prefers the unusual and eccentric in this position. Venus squares (tension) Mars, asking for communion between the male/female sides of the self. The planet also sextiles (positive) Jupiter (good fortune), encouraging expansion in spiritual pursuits and love for humanity at large.

Mars (action, male) in Taurus helps with strength in action, particularly changes in the physical world. The planet trines (positive) Saturn, which gives clarity in action and a strong sense of structure. Mars also trines Pluto, aligning our consciousness with hidden resources and power.

Jupiter (good fortune) in Sagittarius asks for pursuit of spiritual quests. It indicates expansion comes from this course of action. Jupiter trines Uranus (sudden change, quantum field), and the aspect can create unexpected good fortune or the simple feeling of alignment with the good in life. Jupiter squares (tension) Neptune (mysticism, idealism), asking for resolution between higher growth and mystical insights and/or dreaming.

Saturn (karma, limitation) sits in Capricorn tends to rule the world through finance and corporations. It sextiles Neptune (mysticism, idealism), which means our spiritual ideals and dreams may influence the flow of its energy. Saturn also conjuncts (close to) Pluto, which can awaken the underground energy or result in the creation of a new system of resources.

Uranus (sudden change, awakening) squares (tension) Pluto (underworld, transmutation), and it continues the process of pressuring us to examine our personal and global underworld to find the darkness and transmute it.

Overall, it’s an excellent chart for those who are prepared to reach a higher level of being. Certainly, it is a starting point for a big and positive shift.

NOTES:

  • It’s a wonderful chart for awakening, which supports growth and movement in our spiritual life. Sun in Aries, Mercury in Pisces, and Jupiter in Sagittarius encourage a state of receptivity to spiritual insights.
  • Sun, Moon, and Mercury square Jupiter, so we’re asked to consider how our lives, emotions, and thoughts are out of sync with the higher forms of good fortune and growth. (For example, we may know that we need to exercise more, but our habits and thoughts don’t support it.)
  • There’s an opportunity to glimpse our darkness—or how we become stuck there—with Moon conjunct Super Galactic Center. Part of the quest of the equinox is balancing darkness and light as nothing can exist in physical form without both dualities.
  • Mercury retro in Pisces stirs the waters and brings our conflicting emotions and thoughts to the surface. Again, centering or balancing is the goal, and we center through attention on the heart space.
  • The significant energy of a full moon (fruition) on the equinox hints at the appearance of a new cycle and a new phase of life.

Sabian Symbols, based on the work of Lynda Hill

Sun is on Aries 1, “A Woman Has Risen Out of the Ocean, A Seal Is Embracing Her.” The symbol speaks of leaving the sea of conception through a conscious decision. A physical creature embraces and welcomes her. The symbol speaks of a new beginning, created by the light of consciousness.

Moon sits on Libra 1, “A Butterfly Preserved and Made Perfect with A Dart Through It.” The symbol refers to the preservation of beauty by artificial means—or capturing a moment or event that is displayed repeatedly in our consciousness. The answer lies in opening to the movement of the past and flowing into the future by transcending a frozen or stuck moment in time.

Mercury retrograde is placed on Pisces 19, “A Master Instructing His Disciples”. With Mercury retrograde in an emotional water sign, the symbol could easily refer to the importance of transcending emotion by centering in the heart. After all, it’s how we overcome oscillation. (Many recent astrological charts could refer to tests associated with spiritual growth.)

Venus sits on Aquarius 24, “A Man Turning His Back on His Passions Teaches Deep Wisdom from His Experience.” It’s an interesting symbol for Venus, the planet of love and relationships. Ironically, we often find greater love for our fellow humans and important “loved” ones by understanding the causes of our desires and passions. At this point, we may find our spiritual quest and/or a greater connection with the universe, which allows us to move into universal love, which ignites compassion and understanding.

Mars is placed on Taurus 24, “An Indian Warrior Riding Fiercely with Human Scalps Hanging at his Belt.” The Oracle warns of territorial pursuits, revenge, and conquests, which only lead to nightmares (eventually). Although we may feel victimized, it’s important to remember we have the power to change our lives and the energies around us.

7 Tips for Raising Consciousness

Raising consciousness can help as the planetary weather draws our attention to aspects of life, which require our energy and/or a change in perspective. Problems and issues occur on a lower wave of consciousness—a lower vibration. When we raise our consciousness, we can see them from a different perspective.

It’s important because we tend to see what we do wrong when we’re correcting or examining an issue. Although the solutions are not always easy, we can find the strength to see life differently, take the next step, or calm our emotions. (Many of us are clearing patterns from past lifetimes. It’s hard work, and it takes energy.)

Raising consciousness is fairly simple. It may take several repetitions for a day or two, but it’s doable. Choose from the exercises to discover what works best for you.

1) Focus on the heart chakra where emotions are balanced. There is no motion—only unconditional love. You can see pink or emerald green light in heart space or middle of the chest (and emanate it into the space around you.) Simply thinking about the heart chakra takes you into a softer, quieter place. The heart is the center of your chakra system. This exercise balances the energy of the lower and upper chakras.

2) All problems relate to some form of fear. (Everyone has it although I think humanity is moving out of it.) Imagine the energy of your problem and send love to it. Love diminishes fear, and it will alter your consciousness temporarily. After all, the issue is “up” for examination, clearing, and healing. You’ll feel freer without it.

3) Problems tend to repeat on a cyclical basis. Changing emotions, reactions, and thoughts is part of clearing it. Any success with an aspect of a problem will reduce it–although it may return. (It’s easy to see how other people have repeating problems, and it’s difficult to see it within the self.) Eventually, you have insights, understanding, and changed behavior as a result of the problem. It tends to disappear at this point.

4) Emotions do not always emanate from you. If you briefly feel sad, angry, or another strong emotion–and the emotion grows stronger–it is probably not your emotion. You can ask for a higher level of consciousness and to disconnect from mass consciousness. (It often requires several “takes” for this to work.) When your emotions clear, take a few minutes to visualize your desired future. This practice brings in more love and courage as well as a higher vibration.

5) The practice of meditation lifts you to a higher place of being. Visualizing beautiful events and outcomes from a place of higher spiritual focus helps to bring them into being; it also raises the vibration of all of the particles in your personal reality.

6) Call on the angels or write an angel letter. Angels wait for your call. You can ask for angels to surround you with feelings of peace, bliss, happiness, or understanding. You can also ask for their help with a problem. (I’ve found it’s best to ask for their help to come softly, gently, and joyously to avoid abrupt changes in my life. The gentle changes feel nicer.)

7) Nature wants to help with your healing process. Energy collects in body as a result of spiritual, emotional, or mental tension. You can sit outdoors and ask for energy to heal your body or clear the mind. Walking in nature quiets the soul. The colors, shapes, and patterns are perfect for the body. You’ve walked enough when the mind becomes quiet without interruptions from thoughts. These techniques are particularly helpful when you ask for the healing presence of nature.

These practices often lead to non-ordinary solutions, realizations, and intuitions..
